me too. carowinds has caught onto the fidget spinner craze with carnival games, some of my friends went there with me and they were going CRAZY over getting fidget spinners, one of my friends paid $24 JUST TO WIN A FIDGET SPINNER!
Since I live in Nashville, this is what I consider my home park besides Dollywood. My sister and I actually had the front seat of the first train of the whole season on the Rumbler when we visited opening day. The staff are great and overall it's a fun place to spend an afternoon.
This park heavily reminds me of a park I've visited, and it's extremely out of the way and undervisited by enthusiasts: Family Kingdom. There lies a classic (but amazing) wooden coaster, Swamp Fox. For being 50+ years old, it still packs a major punch and contains a sustained ejector airtime hill that is, in my opinion, skyrush level airtime (IN THE BACK ROW). The last turn also gives some great laterals.
Kw6sTheater agreed about swamp fox in the back seat. Fun but rough ride. Their water park across the street is great too. Speaking of Skyrush, I'll be at Hershey this weekend 👍🏻
well swamp fox is rough in the back, probably 6/10 roughness, but in the front it's 2/10 roughness or even 1/10 because the only roughness is on the valleys of the first 2 hills. also skyrush is my favorite coaster, swamp fox is my #13 just barely behind thunderhead.

I have family near there, and when I visited them for Thanksgiving, I found out that people don’t really come for the rides. They mainly come for the race track next to it.
I feel bad, I'm going to be in Bowling Green next week visiting the National Corvette Museum and I'm not even visiting Beech Bend. Lol. Maybe I'll go some other time, Kentucky Rumbler looks pretty awesome! It reminds me of the Ozark Wildcat how it has that spiraling first drop.
Yep. That's what they were going for when they designed the Ozark Wildcat. Herschend wanted a vintage inspired design for the Wildcat since it was going to be at their park that had the 1910's, 1920's, and 1950's sections.
imo celebration city was garbage other than wildcat. why did they have a bunch of fairground esque coasters rather than elite ones like Silver Dollar City?
I loved Celebration City! It was my second home park. And do you find that Beech Bend is trash? It was essentially the same thing but with more themeing. But it wasn't that Herschend didn't invest anything into the park, when they transformed Branson USA into Celebration City, they spent over thirty million dollars, to give perspective, when Ed Hart reopened Kentucky Kingdom he spent the same amount on Kentucky Kingdom that Herschend did on Celebration City. Most of the rides that were at Celebration City were leftovers from Branson USA, all the rides that they added new were permanent rides, like Accelerator, Jack Rabbit, Wildcat, the kiddie area, Orbiter, Flying Circus, etc. The only trailer mounted fair rides were the Tilt-A-Whirl, Fireball, and Shoot-D-Chutes. Herschend wanted the park to be great, one of my friends' father has been in management at SDC since Thunderation was new, and they DID have big plans for the park, they wanted to add more elite rides, unfortunately bad attendance plagued the park due to its weird operating hours. Over the years they added what they could with the profits that they made, in 2004 they added a Chance Chaos, in 2005 they added a circus tree garden which was absolutely gorgeous, in 2007 they added Wisdom Tornado, and in 2008 they added Roaring Falls, the used chute ride from Six Flags Ohio. All those small additions were attempts to bring new guests in, but it wasn't enough. Then in 2008 the recession started while Celebration City was still a relatively new park. Herschend closed it with the intent to reopen it after the economy was better, but they never did. They had plans to turn it into a Seaworld type attraction, but those plans never came to fruition. It was a great park, its purpose was to be a nighttime park, and it was a great one. All the rides had lights, most of the buildings had neon lights, there was some great shows, including a sea lion show for a couple seasons, and of course Nightfire/Ignite the Night. It was SPECTACULAR. Look up some videos of it online, it really was the best part of Celebration City.
I live a 30 minute drive away from this park and I’ve been going at least once, sometimes more (one summer I went 4 times!) every summer! But as I’ve gotten older (I’m 16) I feel like I’ve just gotten bored. Nothing drastic has changed much as far as the rides go in a lot of years.
When I was a child -They advertised get in for .10 cents and then u had to buy a arm band for rides. At one time they had a small zoo and had duck boat rides. They had go carts and several carnival time games
I was at Kings Island and there was a fidget spinner stand with 20 kids in line 😂

I just went to Hersheypark today, and I rode 35-40 coasters today. I rode Skyrush like 12 times and my thighs are about to fall off.
