I hope you all enjoyed. Please leave your thoughts about the Kentucky Rumbler in the comments. Thank you! I put my end screen at the beginning of the video by mistake. Sorry about that!
I actually know about this ride from a documentary on building coasters I watched ages ago that I can never remember the name of... but what I know I'll never forget is it was almost called Bodacious 😂😂😂
This park is about an hour and a half away from me, but I’ve never been there. My home park is Kentucky Kingdom. This ride looks like a good reason to visit Beech Bend someday.
Speaking of GCI, I rode Gold Striker yesterday. Better than Mystic but not better than Renegade. Of course there are like 10 others I've ridden but those are the best. I would love to hop on this thing, thanks for the video!
A friend of mine from the UK and I are planning an 18 day amusement park + tour next summer during the week before and of the 4th of July weekend. Only requires 10 vacation days.We will start at Cedar Point. Then head east to 6 Flags New England. South to 6 Flags Over Georgia. And west to Holiday World. And back north again to end the trip at Cedar Point. We will be hitting as many parks in between as possible. With many parks being half day parks, we can easily hit 19 parks plus the Wild Caves Tour at Mammoth Cave. So, I figured after the caves, I really want to hit this coaster. The cave tour would be done in time to give us a few rides on Kentucky Rumbler before heading north to Holiday World.
Nice! Have a great trip. Hope all goes well. Yeah this coaster is worth it especially if it isn't busy. I was in and out of the park in a half hour because I just wanted to ride Kentucky Rumbler. Just like you I it it up on the way back home from Alabama on my way back up to Illinois.
CoasterFanatics yep I really think so also I had fun on the other stuff like i really think millennium force is a fantastic ride but I think I still prefer fury325 a bit
It seems that in 2006, GCI started to really perfect these twister layouts that we all know today. I can't think of any before that, except in 1999, when Roar at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom started to do that, but not quite as well. But once again, GCI is revitalizing the design of the traditional wood coaster.
I agree, there is definitely a difference between the more modern GCI's and the originals. I personally think thunderhead is a tad on the rough side by at the same time it's the most intense of the GCI's I've been on so far.
“The ride definitely isn’t rough.” I had to replay that line several times to confirm that you were actually saying “isn’t” and not “is.” For me it was definitely rough, and not in a good way. It’s filled with jerky laterals throughout that keep it from being an enjoyable coaster. I can see an “OK, it’s rough, but ...” positive review, but a positive review that says it isn’t rough makes me wonder if there are two Kentucky Rumblers.
CoasterFanatics Well, I’ve been on a lot of woodies, so I could definitely name a lot that are far rougher for sure. But I’d only heard good things about the Kentucky Rumbler so I was surprised it was so jerky - and I rode it front and back but it was still the same. The coaster was all right, but that jerkiness kept me from saying it was particularly good.
They got a new train this year I think. The one I rode was yellow and I see in all the pics that the train was red. Maybe that's why I got a better ride experience.
I love Kentucky Rumbler! Even with an empty train it still hauls.
Nice, Yeah I was very impressed when I rode it.
I’d say it’s one of the most underrated coasters.
Just went on this thing for the first time today! It certainly did not disappoint.
Great POV! Kentucky Rumbler does look pretty underrated! :)
BryceFourn 2001 Thank you, true that!
I love it!!!! It’s an aweSome cute park too!! My 4th favorite woodie after voyage, Lightning Rod, and Thunderhead.
Pet Paradise Nice, glad to hear it!
What GCI builds is not a rollercoaster but art. Fantastic! :D
Superrides lol, I totally agree!
A Coaster Fanatics video on my birthday! Yay!!!!!!!
Rainbow Coasters Awesome! Happy Birthday! I also reached 7 thousands subs on your birthday too!!!
CoasterFanatics Really lucky day I guess!

May I use this footage for a review? I will give you full credit. It looks amazing by the way!

I live about an hour away, my home park is holiday world, but this is a great coaster, though it is quite rough
yeah I's say the park is worth the drive in your case.

No prob, glad you liked it. Can't wait to try gold striker.

Coaster Dude Nice, glad to hear it!!!
CoasterFanatics I have a new favorite ride STEEL VENGANCE
I think a lot of people are saying that this year which is well deserved.
CoasterFanatics yep I really think so also I had fun on the other stuff like i really think millennium force is a fantastic ride but I think I still prefer fury325 a bit

Tony Kim Thumderhead in 2004???

Ah that's right, thank you
Youll have to ride roar at six flags america, it was rough though the last time I had ridden it. I also enjoy Grizzly at KD
Jeffrey Werner True that. I think I'm doing six flags America next year.
Intense for 47mph. Non stop action.
Jeffrey Werner True that, That's the magic of GCI. They can make a crazy intense ride without much speed.
Is it bumpy, I've never been on it
No it isn't bumpy at all. It's not the smoothest but there are definitely a lot worse coasters out there.
Yea there are bad ones like wild cat I think and when mean streak was around its was rough
*intro music intensifies*
Top 10 Life Now lol ok!
Was the thank you for watching supposed to be there
Chad Hello lol yes, why?
Chad Hello oh I see what you mean in the beginning. My mistake. I must have mixed up the slides. Sorry about that.
Not a big deal any way but I should have been more clear
The coaster looks likes it’s 56 mph
Seems shaky but exciting

StamfordBridge Nah, I could probably make 20 woodies rougher then the Kentucky Rumbler.

Looks like it could off shoot the station lol
lol yep!
CoasterFanatics has it ever done it?
CoasterFanatics I know Wooden Warrior did that during testing making them add it to trim all the way down and have one train
No, not that I'm aware of.
