I'm just about to start by b-ring and d axe grind and have been watching a few guides to get a feel for what to expect. Yours is the first I've seen with the tilemarkers set and labeled. It was something I was planning on doing myself and I didn't know you could import them like this! Super helpful and much appreciated!
Your black mask NEEDS to be imbued to get the extra accuracy and damage bonus for magic!

For anyone that see's this, you can do method 1 easier by waiting for 10 mins in the crack safespot to deagro the minions by the ladder leading to them

lovely guide, I used this to start my first dk runs. I like method two as it saves a lot of food. I'm also X logging now to swap worlds in between kills so you save like 20-25 secs per kill. Takes a bit more effort, so maybe I won't be donig this in the long run, though.

Update from the last message: it was not much of a grind. In 24 kc I had the axe, berserker ring and warriors ring.

2nd method works a treat, if someone is in the rex spot, you can just hop or log out as you take no damage. Being in the rex-only agro area is important as, been nuked by Prime a few times over the months. Basic room tiles too have helped me a lot:

trying this on my im, using an alt to tank and im still getting 2 shot when entering even with all kings aggro'd to main. do the guys on the outside really do that much damage?

I can't seem to find a comment that had the same problem, but I didn't log out after the 60 seconds like you said and eventually just had to eat because of the spinolyps hitting me. Has this been updated perhaps? Had to teleport out, after the guy running the room even trying to help me out by getting aggro

You mention fremmenik trials is required to get there. Is that true (I haven't seen this requirement elsewhere)? Is it just required to get to water-birth island because pre-trials you can pay 1000 coins to the boater to get there. Or is the requirement for later on in the caves? (I have a weird snowflake account and cannot do this quest)
The boat guy won't even talk to you unless you've done the Trials quest I'm pretty sure. I had to do the quest on my iron to get to the island

This is a nice guide for low level players but one mistake here:
I understand you recommended the Black Mask if on task because low levels probably haven't made a slayer helm or imbued it yet, but the Black Mask on its own does not provide any benefits for magic or range, only melee. Not only that but the mask has -3 magic attack (not that that matters for Rex really). So you wouldn't want to ever use a Black Mask for Rex.

Why armor with melee def for this if the only damage you get is from the mobs in the water??

I’m currently 82 dry. I’ve gotten every 1/128 drop and some 1/1000+ drops without any rings or d axe :( sucks.

Whenever I do method #1, it feels like there's a 99% chance Supreme will aggro me each attempt - I keep running out of food before getting anywhere close to Rex!

a lvl 126 trolled me, he lured all the bosses to me which killed me on my gimp, i only had the chance to kill rex twice
I tried this and got absolutlely owned tring to find the right lair. I've now wasted 2 full invents of food and 4 prayer potions. Not sure this is worth the hassle for lower leveled players. I'm combat lvl 71

Tried for 30 minutes, Supreme would never leave the ladder. Oh well, glad I'm not an iron so I have better things to do.
Were you constantly going up and down the ladder? If one of them is near the ladder, wait a few seconds, maybe even go back to the safespot. That allows them some time to wander around instead of you keeping them aggro near the ladder. Never took me longer than 5 minutes or so to get set up. Also, if you're on task and no one is there, you can use both ladders (task and without task rooms), to get set up quicker.
Super quick and helpful, looking to try Rex on my HC soon so the concise information helps a ton as well as the ground markers to import. Thanks a ton!

good video but here are some clarifications.
you only care about ranged defense so that you take as little damage possible while you're killing rex. it's basically barrows > granite > rune.
you don't care about the negative mage attack bonus because rex has such low magic defense that you'll hit anyway.
reccomending farseer helm is also just wrong as far as i understand, rune helm is better.
it also seems a bit strange to me to not use one inventory slot for a stamina consumable, with this gear you will run out of run energy so you'll have to walk or wait in a safe spot. so if you don't bring a stamina consumable you'll either be wasting time or health and prayer sips.

Its meant as a low level method. You can do this at 60 hp, like are you that dense that you cant figure that out?
The amount of traveling and cheesing required to kill this one singular boss (that should be doable by a player without endgame gear and without cheesing) is beyond my comprehension, this is why I don't play OS.
