It is a really beautiful coastal town, full of charm, I can imagine myself living there or spending a vacation near the ocean and walking along those streets. Plymouth City centre is really beautiful 👍
Excellent video, well made and inspiring imagery. I have lived in Plymouth most of my life and wouldn't want to live elsewhere. The Hoe is a great place to start as Plymouth has so much more history and a lot still alive today to fit it all in in would make the video too long.
thanks for watching and for the kind comment. I grew up in Devon but for some reason had hardly visited Plymouth so it was a very pleasant surprise for me to finally get to spend some time there. it has a lot to offer and I think its very under-rated. Of course its not perfect and maybe the city center could do with a little work (which i heard may happen soon) but the coastal parts are really fantastic and I would happily go back and spend a week there. And you are right there is a lot more to see than shown in this video! Hopefully next time i will capture more of it!
WoW ! Beautiful capture and editing Barnyz! 👌👍 This is really a amazing video with beautiful narration put together and so well spoken. Your timelapses are stunning and so clear you sure make me want to take out my camera but with all the snow and cold we have here I will wait for springtime 🤪 Plymouth is a lovely city and sure has a lot to offer and see , is there snow in winter ? Love the video my friend 👍👏🥰 Have a great weekend Serge H&S 👩❤️👨🌈🇨🇦
Thank you. I got lucky with the weather and sunsets on this trip! It doesn't snow much here (maybe lite snow for 1-2 days every year and it always melts very quickly), I wish it did as snow makes everything look better. If it snowed here I would be outside with my camera trying to record as much as much as possible. Hope you are both having a great weekend cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
Nice video. Places you missed. Central Park, Woodland woods, cann woods, plymbridge, jennycliff, bovisands, jennycliff, Mount Bâton, Maybe more but that’s off the top of our heads.
thanks for watching. I could see so many other places i wanted to visit but didnt so i will need to go back and check out all these other locations one day
Congratulations Barnyz. You gathered your courage and put your first film online with your own voice. It works very well. Your voice sounds very good and professional. As a side effect, the voice accompanies the scenes much better. The text overlays partially distracted from the recordings. I really liked the video and the huge effort with the many time-lapses was worth it. Greetings Michael
Thank you, Michael. I'm exploring ways to improve audience retention on my videos, so this is a test to see what difference it makes. I always enjoy making timelapse. If I had the time I would make all my videos timelapses 🙂. Have an excellent Sunday cheers from barnyz
Wonderful video my friend. I love this rocky harbor and all the beautiful sites. Great job describing the historic aspects of this area. The Citadel looks very impressive and seeing the Naval vessels must have been fun. We saw a church in Caen France very similar to the one you show in your video that is missing a roof, that I assumed was bombed in WW2. Excellent video guys. 👍👍 Greetings and best wishes. ✌️🇺🇲🍻
Thanks. Yep it's an impressive place even though it was very heavily bombed in ww2 due to it being an important naval city. Hope you are both having a super Sunday, cheers from barnyz
Never been, then again never been to Devon either but I think we can get a direct train down from Durham, so thought about the train (if they are not on strike) and then hire a car when we are there. Loved the bay there and it looks like there is plenty to do and see there, as well as in Devon, which I have always assumed it is always packed with tourists, very small villages and narrow roads, which has always put us off about. Cheers Alan
Thanks Alan. You should visit Devon, you will love it there. Just avoid the summer and Bank Holidays as the rest of the time it's not that busy. Cheers from barnyz
Thank you for watching. I thought Devonport was all industrial docks and the navel base (which i assume is not enterable)? Is there nice stuff to see there?
Funny but even though we love Devon, we've never actually visited Plymouth. It was great to see all of the historic bits on your video. I would particularly enjoy walking along the shoreline!
Thanks for watching. I used to live in Devon, and although I had been into Plymouth a few times for concerts or visiting friends, I think this was the first time I had a proper look around and I really liked it so I recommend stopping there the next time you visit Devon. Have a fab Sunday cheers from barnyz
thanks for watching. I hope it brings back some nice memories. Coincidently I filmed this as I was visiting a friend who had come over from Australia who was also visiting Plymouth :)
thanks for watching and for the kind comment. This was filmed in mid september, so nearly the same as summer. Unfortunatly i dont live near Plymouth so its not really possible for me to go and film more footage.
I grew up just outside Plymouth so found this film very interesting, just a little disappointed there was no coverage of the City Centre, Drakes' Circus etc,
Thanks for watching. I did go into the city center (which I show a snippet in this video) but i honestly felt a little uncomfortable there. Its quite run down and that made me feel weary about getting my camera gear out filming. I fully accept i might have been over-reacting and im sure it would have been fine but sometimes you just get a feeling about a place. Every other thing I saw in and around Plymouth was simply wonderful however and I've been back a few times since I filmed this and enjoyed every minute there. Overall a great city.
A very nice video 🥰👏 and impressions from Plymouth. I really liked the way you walked us through 👍 The sunset and the lights are really very nice and romantic also the lighthouse..inviting for a walk by the sea.. I also liked the architecture of the restaurants and pubs, the white Gin house 🍸was really pretty.. I am watching it from Germany 🇩🇪 Thanks for that Video 🥰❤🍀🙏
Thank you Eva for the wonderful comment. Plymouth is a fascinating city and im happy you enjoyed seeing it. The coastal parts are really charming and great to walk around especially as I got very lucky with one of the best sunsets ive seen in a long time. Have a great week cheers from barnyz

@@Barnyz There's fascinating architecture in Devonport - Foulston's masterpieces

Very good video 👍
Thank you 👍👍👍
There's also Crownhill Fort, a partially restored 19th Century fort which has open days during the summer
I just googled it and it looks fascinating. A good option for a future trip 👍👍👍
Was born there in 1937 but live in Australia ,liked the film ,
thanks for watching. I hope it brings back some nice memories. Coincidently I filmed this as I was visiting a friend who had come over from Australia who was also visiting Plymouth :)

Thanks for watching. I've been in some of those streets... but they are not suitable material for a travel video aimed at day trippers and tourists.
Not a great video. You mention crossings to France. What about Santander in Spain? That is where I sail from to Plymouth (my birth city)
Thanks for watching. I didn't realise there were connections to Spain as well so thanks for the correction.
