That was really one of the last times this country was truly, unequivocally united. We had finally avenged all of our fellow Americans who had died on 9/11. I wish we could get that unity back.
Uh, no. Obama was President and the country was most certainly NOT united. Plus, the strange decision to dump Bin Laden's body out at sea with no picture proof provided was extremely controversial.

@@hermunkulus Yep. I was. Thanks. I don't think anyone will pretend that we were united for longer than that specific moment or day, unless they are completely delusional. We unfortunately haven't had the luxury of long-term unity in a long time, likely since before I was born. I was only 15 at the time of Bin Laden's death, which may mean that my memory is clouded by simple childhood innocence, but for that small period of time, we saw what a united America was again. Nothing else mattered but America at that moment.

No, the country was most certainly NOT united. And when Obama tried to take credit for what Bush set in motion and SEAL Team Six "got done", that didn't sit well AT ALL. Wanna know how Trump became President? Obama! We had that foreign plant's agenda for EIGHT YEARS.
I was in iraq on the day it happened. The joy and pride on everyone's faces was enough yo make us forget we were still at war. It was an awesome feeling.

I lost my fiancee in Iraq in 2004 and I remember this night and I remember dropping to my knees crying looking to heaven saying they got him, it was a moment we will never forget.

I was nearly killed in the 9/11 attacks when fleeing my apartment as the second tower fell. It was the most horrible and traumatic experience ever; I still haven’t gotten over it. The day I heard that that bastard died was one of the best in my life. I ran to the site of the WTC and celebrated with strangers in the middle of the night.
The SEALs said he died scared and it probably hurt. Good.

I honestly think they should have brought Osama to the US and just let the people handle him I know a couple buddies of here of mine in the South we would have loved to got some rope. If you know where that is going you know. They should have took him around all 50 states an let him die terrible horrible dead by the citizens of this country but he dead now so no need to sit on that thought.

My brother was fighting in Afghanistan right after Towers got hit shortly after that she got deployed spent 27 years in the US Army my brother and my mom I didn't think she would like that too well she has cancer at the time but he promised her that he will come back alive 2 or 3 deployments and when he was on his way back he was finally retired from the Army on his 3 time coming back home he was retired from the us Army

I still tear up when I see the twin towers in oid movies, or old footage of them. It takes me back to that morning and how horrific it was.
I was stuck in traffic on a 6 lane Hwy on the gulf coast. People were getting out of their cars chanting USA, strangers hugging strangers - one woman got out and asked what was happening - she was from Brooklyn with a NY license plate. Several came over to her and told her what had happened. As a fellow NYer, it was so emotional watching her fall to her knees crying while a crowd gathered around her helping her to her feet, strangers holding each other, some crying - others still chanting. Watching people get out of their vehicles as word spread - it was like watching the wave at a game. Never seen anything like it before or after.
Americans beat the shit out of each other all the time - metaphorically & physically....but God help anyone outside the family that thinks they're going to come here and do the same thing to one of us. It was a life changing moment.

The balls on those men. Going into something with your only thoughts is today is the day I’m going to die and happily getting in those helicopters. This is who we are as Americans that is why we are so great.

I never thought that in my lifetime I would ever celebrate someone’s death. For an instant, I was conflicted, until I thought of all my New York brothers and sisters that died on 9/11. 9/11 was truly the most traumatizing event in my life because in was on our soil that we lost thousands of innocent citizens and deviated so many families. For this, my heart ran cold with the news of Bin Laden. I’m glad he lived in fear until his last moment.

I was at that game and the man sitting behind me told us all the news. From there he began chanting, next thing you know the entire stadium joined in. It was and always will be one of the most memorable moments of my life.

I was there too. Same deal, I overheard a guy in the row behind us say "they got Bin Laden" as the chanting started. It was incredible.
I was at home when I learned the news, and instantly started crying. Reason is...I was there at the Trade center on 9/11. Barely escaped, but I lost a few friends. The news about this brought me such peace...like it's finally over. I can sleep better now.

My family knew a grandmother and mother who were flying home after dropping of the mothers twins off at college and they were on the first flight. I was in nursing school and watched the second tower get hit. It’s a memory never forgotten even for those on the other side of the US. We always remember and now we are telling our children about that day, the loss, but also the good of humanity involved in that day. I think that is a huge point not to be forgotten.
The day this evil man was taken down was a day that I felt relief. I was shocked and thought it wasn’t real. I’m glad it was.

We can only imagine how troubled your sleep might have been before May 2011. But, I'm happy to hear that this news brought some much-needed AND DESERVED peace to your life, once more!! Be blessed and if you are able to, never stop sharing your story with those who may not be aware of the actual events at Ground Zero in New York....we must not forget nor get complacent and let things go to the point that we allow something like this to happen again. Yes, we must get on with living our lives in a reasonably happy and carefree way, but can never lose sight how hate of others can end it all too quickly!!

Fact.. along with all the lives lost 67 british nationals unfortunately perished on September 11th attacks... this was a big deal.
Actually the death count was more like 9,000 but the government hid the real figures.

I was in Aruba at a restaurant with my ex and the staff asked for the attention of all the American guests. They told us all at the same time and lots of us started to shed a tears.

I was outside the WH that night. The celebration was incredible. My husband, whose retired Army, was wearing an army T-shirt and everyone was thanking him for his service.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I’m 37 so I was a senior in high school when we were attacked on 9/11. I was at home with my wife, home from the Fire Dept when we watched the POTUS address live about Bin Laden. I’m smiling right now.
Same here I was a freshmen in highschool we were getting ready to go to the la county fair we heard about the first plane hitting so we turned on the news and we saw the second one hit
I was watching this game when they announced it wow just wow it was like a breath of relief
One of the reasons this was so huge was NY had 2 planes hit, but one plane also went down in Pennsylvania the state Philly resides in.
I was serving when this happened. We got let out early (which only happens if you're having a kid or something). I was lower enlisted in the Army at the time, and my unit was training UK forces. Everyone headed over to the bar and we drank with our British brothers like it was the last beer on Earth. Great times.

I have a similar story like yours.. I was in the Royal Bermuda Regiment(A British Overseas Territory Military) at the time and we were doing cross training at Camp Lejeune with the Marines at the time.. we had heard of the of news of Bin Ladin death at the time .. I'll tell you the the whole barracks complex was partying hard that nite with our fellow devil dogs brothers and it was really an awesome nite even thought morning PT was a killer with a hangover 🤣🤣🤣

A big significance of the Mets/Phillies game game was also the fact that plane that was brought down by the passengers was brought down in Pennsylvania...
I remember this day so well. I was a cashier in a restaurant at that time. The restaurant manager and assistant manager both came out to the dining room and asked the entire kitchen and cash crew to join them. The manager asked for everyone’s attention and broke the news.
After he gave the information I swear you could hear a pin drop, literally, and I think we all stopped breathing for several seconds. Then the entire place broke out into cheers, hugs, smiles, all the good things. I don’t recall seeing many dry eyes in there.
This was a military community right outside the base and so most folks have some connection to it. We all had husbands, sons, daughters, parents, or wives in service. It was definitely a surreal moment for us all.
I was a first responder in New York on that day and still remember everything on that day. I just want to say you both did a great job.

On 9/11 I felt so abused and violated but the emotion of anger I had was overwhelming. It was like how dare they come into our country and do something like that. When Bin Laden was finally put down I was able to let that anger go. I pray I never have to live through anything like that again. I’m from Ft Worth Texas and the American pride and grief united us all. H

9/11 was a setup! Pakistani intelligence - the ISI stated he died already, and was handed over to the CIA. that was from the BBC now, which he died in prison. Now I think CIA all made it up! Afghans didn't use twitter back then too. Fox News stated there was twitter account one guy lived next door saying "helicopter above my house I going get my big fly swatter and get it" LOL. You can tell that was from the CIA, They make up news stores all the time. I was in the Navy and CIA was all over the ship but no body!

True story: I was sent to Pakistan(Islamabad)to find him while I was in Air Force, it was a joint operation we didn’t find him of course but his compound was 40 miles away from where we set up and we literally flew over that compound everyday unaware…crazy!

one of my friends was on the seal team that took him down. i didn't hear about it until the next day i was already asleep when it was announced. i have heard all about what happen that night over beers and tears. it was not an easy thing they did that night. it brings to mind what President Regan said. “I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.”
My father was a firefighter. I was woke up by my roommate when the news broke me. It didn’t bring back all those lost but it gave some amount of closure

Hi guys. Couple things. The game ran that late because a game which is usually 9 innings went 14 innings because of the tied score. Another significant thing was that there were three locations where lives were lost on 9/11. New York of course, The Pentagon and the plane where the passengers fought back and caused the plane to crash rather than let the terrorists crash it into another of our Washington D.C. buildings. That plane went down in Pennsylvania which of course is the state where Philadelphia is. So they were impacted on 9/11 also. In one of your recent videos I left a comment suggesting you watch a commencement speech. The man who delivered that speech was Admiral Wm. McRaven who was the man in charge of the mission (although he wasn't physically there) he had the direction of the mission to take out Bin Laden.
I was working at the hospital. Giving meds to a patient, she was glued to the TV and said “watch this!” I turned to watch Obama speaking, and had missed a bit of it and had to ask her what it was about. When I left the room, I asked my co-workers if they had heard the news, they hadn’t, I had the privilige of telling them. We were a calm group, we pretty much just said “finally.”
I was in Afghanistan when this happened and everyone back home knew before the soldiers found out over seas. It was a great and also nervous feeling.. wasn’t sure how the people would react.
I live in Alexandria, Virginia, a city 5 miles outside of DC and a place where a sizable portion of the families who work in the government live. I was in Kindergarten when 9/11 happened. We could see the pentagon from our classroom window. I had friends in my class who had parents working at the Pentagon. Tons of my friends didn't know if their parents were okay. 10 years later, I was a sophomore in High School when we got the news that Bin Laden had been killed. Our entire city was proud to be Americans that night and were happy that our city as well as Arlington finally got closure for the atrocities that monster committed.
I wish Americans would all be friends more often.
Don't watch mainstream media, you'll quickly see America isn't as divided as alot of people think.

I cried this day. I was with my college roommates. We went out into the neighborhood we lived in and joined our fellow Americans in cheers. It was a special night and moment. Cheers to all our service men in the United States military. Thank you to Seal team 6 who root the bastard.
I still remember this day vividly, just like September 11th 2001. I was in training to become a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman. We had just gotten back from a field op. I was in the common area of the squad bay when the announcement happened. Everyone started cheering, we ran through the halls passing the new. People were running out of the shower soaking wet in towels and we went outside. We could hear almost everyone on base around us cheering.

I questioned whether Americans should celebrate the death of our archenemy like we did, but I quickly quashed that question because this was the one person who symbolized the death of 2,977 people on American soil. Over 2,600 Americans died during the 9/11 attack. 67 British people died in the 9/11/2001 attack on the US. Over 100 subjects of Queen Elizabeth II died during this attack. I think we were all entitled to celebrate when we got Bin Laden.
My Mother was a Scientist at the Lawrence Laboratory and the Armed Guards swarmed to protect the Lab. Helicopters everywhere and I was very worried for my Mom. What I do know is that the next day we were UNITED in every way, that someone had just poked the bear with a stick and the U.S. would make sure that we deleted those people.
My friend Tommy died the same day. He had a heart attack and died suddenly. He was mentally delayed and was so innocent. I miss him terribly because he was so uncomplicated and could make me smile after a really rough day. His funeral was on my birthday and the day before his brother's birthday. I think of Richard every year when the time comes and wish him a happy birthday. I think his is always tinged with sadness. Richard took care of his siblings become both of their parents died. He is the oldest.
My husband and I wanted to waste some time and found your channel. Turned out it was not a waste at all. My husband spend 6 years in the US Air Force and 13 years in a government agency. Watching this was emotional enough, yet my husband told me more about what was going on then he has ever done in 19 years of serving. He is now retired and hopes to be able to write a book while he still remembers. The reason I wanted to write this turns out that my husband was very fortunate during his military time to end up in Great Britain. His partner and he flew a special aircraft there to allow the monarchy to see it first hand. Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince William and Princess Anne were in attendance. He was so impressed with the Royals and how kind and gracious they were them. He told me that there previous stop was in Paris for President DE Gaulle and he turned out to be a stuffed shirt. I was on my 2nd deployment in the sangin valley, afghanistan when we got the news. Everybody went to the tent with the television and saw fox news broadcasting it.
I was going home that night when I heard the news. I was shocked but happy at the same time. I heard people chanting U.S.A. It was a night of jubilation in Denver.
I was stationed in England when we killed him. Saw the news report, everyone was outside and having a huge party outside the barracks celebrating his death. I was 11 when the towers fell.
Wow, that was powerful to watch, gave me goosebumps and made me cry. At the time it was a great sense of pride and togetherness. It was a great day to be an American. Thanks for posting this video.

I was living in a new city and sitting at home when I got the news. I had just spent the previous year in Afghanistan. I rushed to the nearest pub to have a drink and celebrate, however when they announced it on the news, no one believed it. I wanted so badly to jump around in joy and cry but in this crowd I was alone. It was such an eerie feeling. So I went home and called my buddy I was deployed with and broke the news to him and we had a few beers together over skype. USA USA

I woke up my kids to see everything live. I wanted them to live the moment. We spent the next hour talking about how and why we did this. My youngest cried. She said she was happy I wasn't in the Army anymore because she didn't want me to get hurt.

This happened the last month of my senior year of high school. Genuinely one of those “where were you when?” events in my life. I remember watching that Mets-Phillies game on tv and seeing the crowd react, Obama’s speech, social media going crazy, talking to friends from school about it.
There was a shot of a player motioning to a group of fans like "what is going on". I'm not sure if he couldn't hear them or if he heard them but needed to see for himself but he walked over and one of the fans handed him their phone. They were Philly fans but they were patting and collectively hugging the NY player. Very cool moment.
I am a US Marine. I served with ya'll in Afghanistan. Much respect and love ya'll
I was on a Frankfurt-Chicago flight. I remember the captain made an announcement, but I don't remember if there was any reaction on the plane. I DO remember that on arrival at O'Hare the newspaper boxes with like 8 different papers in them all had giant headlines about it. Seeing them all in a row like that was memorable.
I remember that day exactly, was just surfing online and I started to see the news. I came down from my room to tell my dad did you hear? He's like what? Osama Bin Laden is dead. Called up a friend, he had just found out, and I said lets hang out. driving over there I got a sandwich, asked the girl working have you heard the news? She said what. Bin Laden is dead, Brought a bit of shock and a smile on her face Its hard to describe the feeling of that night. Joy I guess, I hope I never feel that way again finding out someone died.
I was in a liquor store run by Armenians in Glendale, CA when the news was breaking. The men were watching tv and were so excited to tell my girlfriend and me what happened. I remember not believing the news for a long time. When they released the photo of the body and the burial at sea I let it sink in.
As a lifelong Phillies fan, something that can get overlooked in this, that makes it even more meaningful, is that the Phillies were playing the New York Mets. Phillies and Mets fans hate each other, and because the cities are so close, you get a pretty even mix of supporters of each team in the crowd. Fights regularly break out on a normal night. So for these two fan bases to come together like that is even more amazing.
The Seal who shot Bin Laden in the face - Rob O'Neal has a great book. He's had THREE major hollywood movies made about his various Seal missions that include Zero Dark Thirty, Captain Phillips and Lone Survivor.
Lol. O'Neill loves to hear himself talk but he didn't do anything claimed on those 3 missions. He wasn't a part of Red Wing's, the Lone Survivor mission,he did go out on OP Whalers, the recovery but had no role in recovering Luttrell or the remains of the QRF. That was Rangers. He was part of a 50+ team on Phillips but was asleep in his bunk when the rescue went down. As far as Neptune Spear,he and Matthew Bissonnett have embellished their stories bc the name you wanna know is a silent progressional that we'll call "Red" bc that both knew he would never speak out. Both wanted glory and were disgruntled when they weren't thrown parades and got the same med and pension anyone would get that decided to bot serve 20 and go on a speaking tour. On that day...my Hubbs was deployed in theater. I remember the...sense of justice.
But it wasn't til.months later that I felt the relief. That Sept 11th, I woke up...at peace for the first time in 10 years. OBL was dead, and my Grandmother, who left for work earlier than usual that day in 2001, woke up under my roof. For 10 Years I woke up with the panic...of needing to call her and hear her voice. But in 2011...I woke up calm. And I literally cried like a baby at 8:46 with my Grandma holding me.

After all these years even today, watching that, it still bring emotional joy to hear President Obama say that Bin Laden was killed. Watching the towers fall was heart wrenching. Thank you guys for reacting to this. And to the families who lost loves ones on that terrible day in 2001, you are still in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
It was like letting loose a breath you didn't know you'd been holding for ten years. I watched the towers be hit and fall that day. I saw the people jumping to their deaths. To have SEAL Team Six get the drop on that son of a bitch was cathartic. I bawled that night.
I went to work my normal shift at the US Air Force Academy in the morning before the announcement. The base was on a higher alert and going through the check points (especially the one into the cadet area) took a lot longer than normal. Throughout the day guards were constantly coming in to check out ID's. Normally they never checked once we got through the security point but that day we were checked on probably a half dozen or so times in a 12 hour shift. We asked them what was going on and they had no answers other than they were just doing their jobs, they looked as confused by it as us, hahaha! I got home later in the evening than normal because it took the coverage crew a bit longer to get through security as well. My buddy and roommate was home drinking some beers. I cracked one with him while we waited for the president to address us. After Obama made the announcement we went into the back yard, where I remember staring up at the stars and then he and I high fived each other and drank some more beers. He had a cousin killed during the attacks and I'd had several friends injured and plenty more who served during the war. I wouldn't say it was a sense off accomplishment but rather a resignation that if you come after us we will eventually send a guy into to your home who will kill you face to face. No bomb. Bin Laden attacked civilians and as such deserved a more personal death than a bomb.
Nascar had a race at Richmond, 9/11/2021 the pure patriotism of that moment was awe inspiring to see live.
I was 8 on this night, all I remember is seeing my dad(army soldier class of 2001) break down in tears as my mom said everything was ok. Only recently have I truly understood, he took the evac of Afghanistan pretty hard as well and it’s just hard to see him go through that sometimes

I'm an new subscriber. Im so glad y'all did this video I remember I was in middle school getting ready to catch the bus and I saw this on the tv and I ran into my dads room yelling we got him and woke him up then we started chanting all around the house
I remember that night. It was the only time (other than when a tornado warning went up) that I called my parents after 11pm. My mom answered and I told her and I could hear her telling my dad. It was such a great feeling..
911 Still lives in the heart of Americans and there are deep scars with the loss of so many. We appreciate the brave who stopped an airplane, our military personnel and first responders who did an awesome, difficult job. The world should never tolerate terrorism. We are a generous people and none of us wants war but do not rile us up. We are willing to sacrifice our lives for freedom.
I know someone who was a first responder to 9/11. Thankfully she made it. Hearing the stories about that day from a first person perspective, it’s almost impossible to wrap your brain around. You hear about it but hearing it from a first responder you’re just left speechless. I will forever be grateful for the first responders and military who every day are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the safety of the general public

Thank you for sharing this, and for your tears. I teared up myself, watching this…for the pain and devastation brought to so many including people I know and love. I cried mostly though, because I don’t think our (now, very divided) country will unite in this way again in my lifetime…perhaps ever. Thank you again, though, for sharing this poignant reaction with us on here.

I was so proud to be an American that day. I was extraordinarily proud of SEAL Team 6. When I was in Navy boot camp at Great Mistakes, I passed the very first test for the SEALS. Ironically, two days later I would get discharged for asthma.
We were in Alaska, sitting down into the living room after doing our homework, and we turned on the news just in time to see the announcement. I've never seen so much excitement. People burst out of the houses and into the street and were cheering. You could hear it across the army base.

I was in college. I was studying with a bunch of other people in one of the school’s libraries when our phones went off. Studying was forgotten for at least the next few hours and silence was definitely not observed after that. It felt like the country took a massive sigh of relief.
My husband was home that night, only one year since he left the Army. He woke me up to tell me the news, I’ll never forget that day.
I remember this. The attacks happened my senior year of high school. I was home with my mom and infant daughter when we heard the news. I was already excited because my husband's unit had just got back stateside and we were on the last leg of a 1 year deployment. I cried so hard. It was 2 big events finally coming to an end for my family. I just felt this enormous wave of relief. My husband said everyone of his unit and everyone where they were being debriefed just let out this loud cheer that went on for quite awhile.

I live in South Jersey (Phillies phan) and was watching that Phillies game vs. the Mets! As I remember it, the camera operators started showing fans were all on their phones getting excited and I KNEW something important had just happened. Thanks for posting this! God bless.
I was at the bar with my dad when the news came on, needless to say we bought a round and celebrated the fact that the fiercest fighting force on the planet shot that dirt bag in the face. Great job SEALs and intelligence commumity, we salute you.

The emotions of joy and relief were incredible that night. It was an amazing time and brought us together at least for a while, lol. I was at work and I remember the Supervisor blasting the info over the intercom and it was like everyone was suddenly laughing, crying and hugging anyone within arms length. Definitely a night that I will always remember. Great video, as usual 👌 👏

Thank you for this. I had never seen from the ballgame perspective. It was a long time coming and tho I was so grateful to our soldiers, I was flooded with images and audio recordings of victims from that awful day and began conference calling with friends and just crying. My son was living in Arlington VA and on his way to the office saw the plane go overhead on the way to the pentagon. On the way home that evening he actually stopped his car and looked over at the pentagon. The highway was empty and if you’ve never driven “the 95’s” -the beltway around DC you can’t understand how eerie that was and he was describing everything to me on the phone. I’m getting chills now just remembering. And I’m thinking of Toby Keith’s song and why the country so loved it !!!
I'm from Philly, it was an awesome feeling. He was really the Enemy of the world. Many people died because of him . We just now saw an end to that insane war but look how it ended. Our people are still stranded behind enemy lines. GOD HELP THEM.
I was watching the game when it was announced. Me and my buddies and I went ape shit. We went and launched off half are fireworks we stocked up for the 4th of July. So worth the drive to get more after
I have watched this so many times. But I love it. I was 18 at the time here in the USA. I still remember the first time I had a drink with m y dad. He literally grabbed a bottle that he has saved for a big day for years. He cracked it open and we had a shot. It is top tier the best drink I had ever had. I hated the taste that’s for sure but I will never forget it.
True story: UBL hit my radar in '96 when a friend of mine was killed in an Al Qaeda attack when I was in the Navy. Soon after that, I bought a bottle of scotch, and that bottle followed me around my military career, gathering dust. After that, wherever I was assigned, the counterterror shop at the various agencies were always on my distro (email) list if I wasn't working with them.
Fast forward to 2011, I'd gotten out of the military a few years prior, but still had friends in the Community. I'm burning some steaks on my deck, and I get a call on my cellphone from an unknown number. I usually don't answer those but, for some reason, this time I did. The voice on the other end asked whether I knew a certain person...I said, "Yes...who is this?" The caller said, "Wait one," then hung up. I'm standing there looking at my phone, when the non-traceable message app (kind of like an early version of Signal) chirped, with the message that UBL had been taken out by "friends of ours."
The message vanished, I said a quick prayer, took the steaks off the grill, went back inside, pulled that dusty old bottle out of a drawer, and cracked it open. My wife, curious, said, "Good news?" I said yes. When she asked me what it was, I told her to watch the late evening news 'cause I couldn't tell her. I think Obama told the Nation a couple of hours later.

@@lostwildfree3492 It was definitely a different mindset for people coming in after 9/11. When I joined 1990, I was just trying to get away from my family. As as CTT, though, I was seeing the threats to the United States, but also the wider World, and I wanted to protect it. I also sought to protect the people of the US from its own government, but that's another story. I got out of the field entirely in 2007...I saw the same things going on that a certain notorious contractor, Edward Snowden, exposed. We never crossed paths, if you're wondering.

I was at that game. Was incredibly electricity seeing groups of people around the stadium finding out at the same time and standing up showing the stranger next to them their phone giving them the news. Almost like a wave was being organized but so much more incredible
I remember that exact moment. Had a crazy sense of pride and joy. Called my army buddy and you would have thought we were celebrating our team winning the superbowl or something. Special moment for me.
I had seen this clip a while back, brought me to tears then and now.. I was 40 when we got him, 30 when we were attacked. I remember when the news came over the tv that the president would speak that night.. knew something was happening that was serious enough for a late night surprise speech.
Just wish our country was just as close now.. we are so separated, not sure if the country can last much longer.
My wife and I were in Memphis, Tennessee at a music fesival. My brother texted me. Everyone started chanting USA! It was incredble.
I’ve seen this several times and I remember that night vividly. I was taking calls in a call center when a customer told me the news! I tear up every time I see this.

I wish that video showed more scenes around the country. I was in Boston & saw what happened that night; people were everywhere out in the streets changing “USA, it reminded me of the atmosphere after a Super Bowl win. It was definitely a great night to experience and be part of!

I was in kindergarten when 9/11 happened, and it’s actually one of my earliest memories. I went to a VERY small school, and the teachers took all 50 kids to the “cafeteria” we had and wheeled in a tv and we were all watching it on tv. I didn’t understand it at that time, I just remember my teacher crying.
I was in the fourth grade. Our principal came over the intercom to announce the news and assure us that we weren't in danger. Then all of the kids got picked up from their parents early that day.

I don't remember this game. I'm not a baseball fan, but I do remember that day well. My brother call me and I remember hoping there was a hell and he was finally burning in it. Sounds strange to say, even to me, but he changed our world and we were angry. Some people don't understand that response and that is fair, but it was a relief that needed to happen to finally finish it. We had taken out a lot of his associates but we need him gone.
