This is perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. So liveable and such intelligent use of space. A proper sofa ✔️ A comfy armchair ✔️ A kitchen you could cook in ✔️ A full size fridge ✔️ storage ✔️ sensible functional lighting ✔️ a sense that someone with stuff actually lives there ✔️ I’m actually a bit obsessed.
What a stunning apartment with an ingenious use of space and everything well-organized in its place. The light wood tone and colour scheme throughout as well as minimalist décor make this small space feel much larger, more open, and airy. Brilliant! :)
One of my favourites, ever! Really efficient and effective use of the space. Made the most and maximised the use of space so that everything has its place and they can function in their daily life with ease. It just flows. I particularly like how he has switched the stairs from one side of the apartment to the other wall, so now you have a view from kitchen and it isn't blocking the connection beyond the kitchen anymore. A simple neutral palette accented with pops of colour through books, accessories and decor. A lot to love 💚 Thanks for another great video, NTS team.
Lol, “so I can look tan all year.” This guy has such an attractiveness. I love the materiality of the home, his sturdiness sitting in the chair and the sofa, and the sense of capability and playfulness he gives off. Beautiful space!
i agree, it's so well designed and built. i was happy he saved the monstera, but the office blinds is such a funny choice to me, because in North America those are the first things to be thrown out.
The best and most functional/realistic floor plan I've seen on this channel in a long time! I love it - I'd probably just extend the upper mezzanine floor outwards so that there is space to walk around the bed instead of having to go over it
I was surprised by the kitchen, a full sized fridge, washing machine, stove top and so many drawers. It was practical, no-nonsense, sturdy looking small space. Loved it.
Practical, except for hobs wedged between the sink and the wall. I'll never understand why people do this if they can do it any other way. It's like they've never cooked a day in their live ...
The cooktop and oven placement are criminal. And the storage wholly inadequate at least for me. I'd end up having potato, rice and flour bags in the broom closet.
Oh wow, this one has got to be one of my favorites. It looks modern and sleek- but still cozy in the right places. I love the use of wood and the layout so much, I'd move right into there.
This was one of my favorites! I love how chill this guy is - and his vision was executed lovingly... and it vibrates thru the screen. I'm so happy he has a REAL fridge, too (not a tiny one). Superb!
To the owner and designer: you can be proud of what you've done here. One can see that you've given a lot of thought as to where everything would go. Those steps do look a bit steep, ( for me for sure) but hey, if you can manage them when you are drunk or ill, sure saves space, as you said. It looks like your space can use a another plant or two... Congratulations.
I love this apartment and design! Great to know that someone long ago made the effort to preserve the building and convert it to living spaces. Where I am in Canada the default is to rip everything down that's old and build unhumanly ultra tall glass condos buildings.
This one is amazing. Completely custom to his life. Comfortable and practical. I am amazed how much functionality, personality and style he packed into 32sqm.
Love the layout, material and furniture. Don't like climbing over the bed to get to the closet. I would have swapped the bed and the closet, putting the bed in the corner and the closet on the wall where the head of the bed is.....
For this little space, he really makes the most out of it! It is smart to rearrange the ladder to mezzanine so that the kitchen is facing the window with nothing blocking the view. Plenty of storage yet a dedicated living space with SPACE! Very thoughtful design. I hope it is safe to sleep on top of a bunch of wiring… but, I love this place. It is designed for living in it.
The materials used to renovate may be simple BUT it's truly wonderful how every inch was thought of. As far as storage and or placement. My absolute favorite part, was the key niche with a shelf below. The new layout made more sense for the space. Well done.
Kept waiting to see how he came down those stairs. That's the one thing I think needs a revision. Even a slide out ladder would be more practical, I think. Since he has access to CNC machines, I bet he could design and build stairs that fold nearly flat when not in use but pull out to be comfortable stairs when needed. There's also the kind that fold against the side wall, but that might interfere with the projector screen.
@@garotadagavea It truly does. I lived in a very similar apartment in the center of Paris and I had no problems going up and down the loft space where the bed was located. I loved that apartment.
It's just wonderful and I especially love how he has chosen not to put cupboard doors on the shelves in front of the kitchen. I love seeing, not just the books, but the skateboard, the camera, the workbox and the helmet. These are things that when he sees them, he feels happy (maybe not the workbox). Also, the way the sneakers are arranged on a shallow shelf, heel to heel, they look like artworks, or wings. I can imagine a column of beautiful shoes heel to heel, like this. I've never seen shoes stored in this way, it suits a small shallow space, and it suits the workmanship in shoes, some of which are very beautiful indeed. Lovely home. Wishing him many happy years in it and safe travels on his bike!

@@adriendupuy8622 awesome I knew it! congratulations on such an awesome place. I am an inspiring interior designer / small space liver/ and this is so inspiring. An absolute Gem of a home! ❤. Yes please! There is nothing not to like and love. What a fantastic space. This Man is a star! And a massive thank you for sharing your home with us. Deeply appreciated.
I kinda like that he did almost the same as the student who lived there before, just with a higher budget and experience. Looks really great, seems cozy and practical :)
Great place! Really loved it! I would probably have my cooking counter space better the sink and stove top and have the wardrobe stair side so I don't need to traverse the bed to get clothing. Fantastic area
Clean, nicely done, very good craftsmanship and natural materials, and a proper kitchen and a proper sofa, well done!! plus love the fact that in a very small space, he chooses to have his preferred objects of design, like the Paulistano chair and the lamp, perfect!
The only problem I have is the access to the wardrobe. I am already so lazy to put my clothes back in my walk-in closet when they are clean but here, it would be even more problematic. A tiny window for the bathroom that goes into the living room would have been perfect to have a bit a natural light there and openness. But otherall, j'adore l'agencement !
There is nothing i don't love about this flat! You did a wonderful job building this!!!!
So much joy in this video. This guy proved that you can have a full-size fridge in a small apartment!

I know, right? It feels warm and cozy too!
the clothes i wouldnt keep up only the bed and books. the stairs i would make more horizontal to have closet in the stairs.
Only thing I miss is a proper table! The refurbished coffee table is marvellous, but not as practical as a regular one for many things…
Best use of 344 sqft !

The way to descend steep stairs is to face inwards, like when you’re climbing or descending a ladder. It’s not a big deal when you get used to it.
Such a lovely well- designed space. Love it!
True it depends on your mobility and that can change overnight if you’re unlucky. Now I’m imagining it with a stair chair/elevator sort of thing
