    Greetings from Bulgaria and great video Andy, very useful! I am asking for advice! My favourite lake has plenty of carp and ide-like fish. Both species are very fond of fishmeal pellets and good shallow fishing results. Ide-like fish, much more aggressive than carp and their bait is just a single fast "Ding" and that's it. Only an overshoted rig allows good fishing results for these fish. My question is how can I select the fish to catch only carp? The size of the pellets and the depth does not affect much. Thank you and good luck!

    Nice to watch how you catch fish in what must be match conditions but as a pleasure angler I couldn't be arsed feckin about like that. You really are one of the guys I love to watch on UA-cam but I'd sooner go to work than fish like that. 😊

    In a match situation would you have a deck rig set up and try it?

    • @TackleguruTV
      @TackleguruTV  18 днів тому +1

      I always have a deck rig set up however because i could see the carp at the start of the session id have just stayed shallow on this particular day

    Great video Andy 😊, pleny of useful info...do you use a 900 or 700 pole ?

    • @TackleguruTV
      @TackleguruTV  18 днів тому

      I always use the 900 for all of the fish I do

    informative vid, when im up in the water, i find my response carp pole sections become loose after a few mins slapping and constantly checking them, do all poles do this? or is it me you think.

    • @delwynhobbs3548
      @delwynhobbs3548 24 дні тому +1

      They all do it, good to keep checking regularly, push them in and give a slight twist

    A nice whatch Andy,far better than these brain numbing videos of class anglers thrashing the water with with a pole tip with an over shotted rig underneath 😢

    Why a size 18?

    • @TackleguruTV
      @TackleguruTV  18 днів тому

      Ive found that this is the perfect size for carp shallow fishing anything bigger can affect the fall of the bait and anything smaller you risk pulling out of the fish

    No backshot Bagger?

    • @TackleguruTV
      @TackleguruTV  18 днів тому

      not needed for carp, if you backshot it will move your bait
