Here’s my James Story: I was 17 in High School during that time my grandfather gave me a couple grand to spend on a professional pistol class to take. I called all the big names, names everyone would know. They turned me down due to my age, while some posting content about how they love the 2A. I even offered one of the big names I training double the money, but still no. I then called Tactical Response, they picked up the phone and insisted I come ASAP. I took fighting pistol that week, met James too. The sheer hospitality of James and the whole crew there was amazing. It became my home away from home. I owe a lot to James, he was a true believer in the 2A. I have taken 7 classes total there and will only ever train there. They are my people, our people. Thank you James for training some random kid from TX and thank you for treating me like a man.

@@redwolf7807 Only mistake James Yeager made is forgetting how to run a stick shift while getting shot at (which many people would). Despite what the internet commandos say, if someone opens up on your unarmored car with a PKM you have one of two options- 1. Die in the car or 2. Get behind decent cover to return fire. I imagine most people would choose #2 just like he did.

James was the first UA-cam gun channel I watched almost 10 years ago. His videos swayed me to purchase my first defensive pistol, a Gen 3 Glock 19. To this day I still carry a Glock 19 style pistol and learned many things from him over the hrs and hrs of content he produced. I know that he could be controversial but he always seemed to have the right intentions. Rest easy.

You and I have never met Mike, but I remember James telling me you were "a really good dude". That told me everything I needed to know. I met James (and Nate and Sheldon) in 2017 at a UA-cam workshop in Atlanta. I recognized him and, honestly, my first impulse was to be a little intimidated because I'd seen so many of his videos. As soon as I walked into the room he invited me to come sit with them. I had no idea that would be the start of a friendship I will treasure the rest of my life. A while back I asked him why he invited a total stranger to come sit with his crew and he said "You looked like you could use a friend". And I got one for sure.

I first saw James on, of all places, The Daily Show. Back when I was in high school, Jon Stewart was making fun of him for being angry about new gun control.
I decided a few months later to look him up to see why he was so mad. Turns out, James was right. His anger was justified.
We need more men with his convictions.
And just because people are so quick to call anyone who values the 2A a racist, I’m a black American from the worst ghetto in the country. And since the day I purchased my first Glock, I have been treated with respect by everyone in this community. That shouldn’t matter, but it does.
God bless James and his family

Maybe this isn't the best time. But after seeing it however many times it has to be said.
If Jefferson, Maddison, or any of the other founders supported the red coats. The policing forces of their time. We would all habe british flags in our front yards right now becaus ethe revolution would have never happened.
In order to be a "patriot" one must first do patriotic things. And this isn't a hit on James. Its a hit on anyone who just refers to anyine who has virws that align with their s as being a "patriot". The policing forces specifically are the very standing army that the founders warned us about. There isn't one issue that anyine has with government that isn't enforced by some dumb@$$ whos wearing a badge. Cite where in our constitution that we the people gave government the authority to police society. You can't. Why? Because if government has authority over you then you are not free. One would think anyine with even the most basic thinking skills could realize this. Then do minimal research to understand what's happened. You all have litterlaly made the word patriot meaningless at this point. When you have absolutely no idea ehat patriotism is. And wouldn't even recognize it if you was to see it happen.

I remember when he was asked about Muslims in a video, he said he didn't hate Muslims and went on to talk about the bravery of Muslims and beautiful things Muslims would say and do. That touched me deeply as a Muslim American in the 2A community. He wasn't hateful, as much as he'd seem rough and tough, those who knew him, knew he had a beautiful heart.

James was the kind of guy who fits into a principle I learned about from an Army chaplain in light of the “mandate” stuff being pushed. The principle was this: “Know what you believe. Know why you believe it. And don’t compromise your beliefs.” Thank you for honoring James and keeping us inspired to carry on with his spirit-the spirit of a true American Patriot!
