Thank you VERY MUCH for your video! My oven went out just as the pandemic was getting going. I’m high risk, live alone and was reluctant to have anyone over to repair it. Eventually, I ordered the replacement heating element, but ran into some trouble - I couldn’t get the screws loosened. But then I found your video - who knew all it took was a little bit of water on the screws! Duhh🤪!! Thanks again!
Exactly what I needed, good instructions on disconnecting the ignitor wire.
Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thanks. Worked like a charm.
Thanks for the video! The part # available to me changed (to Electrolux 5304506545), but had short leads that would not reach. If you can get the exact replacement part, use that. The previous time the ignitor went out, the serviceman clipped the leads on the new and old part and spliced them together with two ceramic wire nuts to create longer lead wires. I had some problem with getting the oven door back on, I used my flathead screwdriver to flip them back out so they were about 30-45 degrees angle from the back of the door, then the door went back on easily. There is a slot at the bottom of the hinge that you can use a flathead screwdriver to tilt them back out. The springs are stiff, but you can tilt them back till they lock in a tilted position from the door. Many thanks - your video saved me a at least $135 in service charges. I would have ordered the part from you, but this was an emergency repair and I couldn't wait for shipping, since one was available (for more $$) locally.
Glad we could help!
Thank you for your video.
hi, experiencing technical difficulties with my frigidaire oven which uses the same igniter. when i try turning it on, i see a glow emanating form the underneath the bottom part and smell gas but oven never fully heats up. I'm assuming the glow is coming from the igniter and gas is flowing. would replacing the igniter still be a worthwhile fix to attempt? thanks... great video, btw 👍
