Thank you very much for this video. Sears wanted to charge me $350 to replace our igniter. I declined, found this video, ordered the part from your company and made the easy repair. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this informative, step by step video on how to replace the igniter! My husband was calling ppl to come and give an estimate and they were charging $100 just for an estimate, so I told him no, I'll do it myself. Went to Ebay, ordered the igniter and came back to follow your video. Of course, my husband had to help me, lol, but we saved $$ and get to use the same Frigidaire we've had for the last 11 or 12 yrs. thank you again!!!
Hi! I'm going to (attempt!) to put in a new oven igniter, and I'll have to splice in the wires. I was wondering what the best way to strip off the type of insulation on the wires, since it's that heat resistant stuff. Thank you for any advice! ~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are talking about the connector, some models don't have the connector, so you would need to cut the connector off and splice the wires together with some wire nuts.
Thanks for replying! I mean those gray rubber shields you mention around 3:10. Mine has these small plastic coverings on the old connectors that I can’t get off. Is there something I can buy somewhere to work as a shield instead for the new igniter?

This is the only instructional video that actually applied to my oven, even the one from Frigidaire was useless. Thank you so much!
Thanks! I followed the video and she's baking like a champ now.
You're welcome!

You're so welcome! Glad we could help you out with your repair.
Are there other igniters that work with this model oven? Seems like most are $15-$30 but this one is $98.
What if mine doesn’t have a rubber protectors on the end?

If your unit does not have that piece then you wouldn't need it for the new part. It doesn't look like this part is available to purchase.
