The real problem is with the frequent lag spikes WHILE playing. I can start the game a 100 and it can spike to 150-160 for no reason. And don't make me start of being shot behind a wall. :(
It's so frustrating getting shot while you know you're safe behind a wall. I know the devs said that the lag compensation/reliability stuff is something they definitely want to work on, but they don't have the time or resources at the moment, hopefully in the near future

In Pop One it seems that when a player disconnects the server keeps track of not just the previous position but also their velocity and forecasts forward in time where that motion would take the player. So the when that person reconnects they teleport back to wherever they actually are on the client side. If you cycle that at something like 200ms it seems like it'd be hard to hit that person. I'm not sure how Pop One would treat the lag switching players shots when they're disconnected. They'd be moving smoothly on their own client side so hitting the enemy shouldn't be harder than normal. Hmmm, or maybe their target would also appear to teleport? I suppose then an advanced version of the lag switch would be to allow incoming server packets to reach them, so their target and the environment update continuously while their position isn't sent back for 200ms at a time. That all said, it seems like it'd be pretty easy to detect periodic lag switching on the server side. If the cheater randomized the lag switching maybe it'd be harder to tell if their internet just couldn't handle the increased bandwidth during battles?

1:47 You say "milisecond" but what you show on screen as "MS" is a "Megasiemens". Get your units straight. If you're explaining a technical topic, you can't run around mixing up units. at 2:00 you explain that ping is a one-way packet latency. This is of course wrong. Ping is round-trip latency. That means it takes 20 ms (in your example) for the packet to be sent AND COME BACK with a repsponse from the server. I bet some game devs get it wrong aswell, so I wouldn't be surprised if some games measured ping differently. Other than that, cool video.

A Lag switch can be used in games such as gta5 online to replay missions and get paid without having to replay setups its not software it's hardware based all you have to do is unplug your internet after transaction pending

Does it not depend on the peeker's ping? I always imagined it was stacked since the peeker's location still has the ms delay to get uploaded to the server in the first place and is therefore "ahead" of where the server actually thinks they are.

hmm. It's hard to prove this sort of thing without having actual access to seeing what someone is doing. The best way would be be to try to figure out how the game you're playing handles lag/lag compensation. Also take into mind that sometimes it's good to just let people vent about something even if it's not true. Venting helps a lot of people chill out, and if they're just playing casually or not hyper-competitive, sometimes it's better to let them believe things. People don't like to believe that there could be an issue with them (especially if they're playing a video game to chill out/relax). I'd probably say if they play casually and are just chilling, its better to let them vent.

To any would be lag switchers, don’t do it. It is a federal crime and can catch you jail time. Also, it’s EXTREMELY easy to detect and will likely get you banned very quickly

I have a video of a lag switcher that survives 3 heavy sniper rifles shots, then teleports to a jet using his lag switch, the kid literally had god mode for a couple of second, also alot of mk11 noobs use this to even stand a chance agaisnt good players, to the point where they could use it to block or fly out of combos
Some invincibility and teleporting doesn't have to do with lag switch at all so be careful what you label lag switch and what could be something else. If fighting game netcode is working properly it should account for drops in net making it very hard to drop out of combos. Will depend on the net code
