Even though this seems pretty good, I do it a bit different, first I try to remove as much fat as possible, so you just keep the skin, then boil it for 30 - 45 min until soft, remove the water, let it cool a bit and then cut small strips of skin, the put them individually on a rack or tray and let sundry for 48hrs. it will become kinda hard plastic like, that's what we're looking for, then we prepare a pot with hot oil, must be very hot and then pour the strips in, they will immediately get crispy and puffy.

I noticed that you didn't take the fat off of the skin ❤️ Is that normal? I got some pork belly from supermarket, but when I got home it was just the skin with fat on it ❤️ Videos I have watched, they have taken the fat off of the skin ❤️ Please help, because I do not know what else to do with it ❤️ Any suggestions from anyone, would be helpful ❤️ Thank you ❤️ Does this need to be refrigerated after cooking it? ❤️ Going to take the fat and melt it down for homemade tortillas ❤️
Yes you may take it off.. but if not no worries still crunchy❤️
@@TastetoShare I took all the fat off the rind, seasoned it and put it in the oven to dry for 10 hours ❤️ I got a total of 10lbs of this pork rind with the fat on it ❤️ I want to make crispy pork rinds out of them, like you get in the snack bags ❤️
