@@tonyhudson8698 Super duper late and you probably wouldn't need this anymore, but basically: 》Clean the pork rinds. 》Boil the pork rind for 10 minutes in water along with star anise, bay leaves, salt and cracked black pepper. 》take it out and cut into desired size 》render the fat on very low flame until the pork rinds stop producing any more oil/fat 》take it out and let it cool for 30 minutes 》put it back and/ submerge the pork rinds into the rendered fat from before 》put it on the stove on low heat until it warms up 》from the warm pot, transfer and fry the pork rinds immediately in hot cooking oil for 3 minutes 》sprinkle with salt and dip in spiced vinegar; enjoy~

Hello po. Watching from USA! I will definitely try this recipe. Thank you for sharing. Sarap nga with kanin and suka!!! Sana may balut. But it's impossible sa lugar namin. Sadly, for some reason, nawala ang balut sa Asian markets dito. But sa Korean markets, they have pork skin but very pricey. But still cheaper compared sa Lapid chicharon/ goya/ other brands chicharon.. Ingat mga kabayans...

@kng2845 it's the oil rendered from the skin. He just keeps it warm under very very low fire so that it is kept hot but not cooking before frying in hot oil.
half-assed translation 😅 I don't speak bisaya, only tagalog Ingredients: pork skin: star anise, salt, whole pepper, bay leaves (sizing is up to you) dip: vinegar, chilis, garlic, cucumber, onions (any color), pinch of sugar After washing, 1. boil for 10mins w/star anise pepper salt bay leaves 2. pat dry, slice, and cook on low heat until fat renders (?) 3. repeat process until there's not much oil and the skin becomes hard 4. soak everything back to the oil rendered (why? idk, put it on low heat) and 5. do a test, repeat process I guess if it's still not to your liking 6. fry when you get it right 7. season with salt, and serve
