@@SpecialOrder935 It was his creation, and he was entitled to do what he wanted with it. But the PT DIDN'T destroy the entire saga the way the ST did. In fact, the films ended on a note of hope....we all knew that Padme's faith in there still being good in her husband was justified, that in the future Anakin would redeem himself and save the galaxy.
The ST ended with the entire Skywalker family dead and a Palpatine taking the name, just as she took the life of the last of them. This isn't an 'hopeful and satisfying' ending at all. I can't watch any of the films now knowing that the sacrifices of the heroes were all for nothing. And please don't tell me 'Ben died to save the woman he loved.'
She didn't give a toss for him, the tie in novel confirms that. She didn't even bother telling everyone else he'd saved her. The last Skywalker was reduced to a metaphorical organ donor.
I like Force Awakens. Rogue One. Solo and Last Jedi. However, George Lucas shouldn't have sold Lucasfilm to Disney. If he hadn't, Star Wars would not have got messed up and it should have ended with Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith. It's Kathleen Kennedy and Disney's fault and responsibility and it's unfair of them to blame us the fans.

The biggest (former) star wars fan i know is my mother in law. She's in her 70s. She literally has an entire bookshelf of all the old star wars books. She has all complete action figures, lego and orginal toy millennium falcon, stood in line for every pre Disney movie. Etc. So please Disney, explain to me why she hates it now. Love to hear it.

The two biggest fans I know are a lesbian and a gay guy and they hate everything Disney have put out as it lacks the soul of Lucas and Skywalker - I agree it just all feels wrong and forced somehow
Best insight I saw was on Theory's channel and the chap that help make the prequels who said they may be over compensating and being too professional like in the fights as they need to focus on getting the look and feel back and everything else falls into place - no one wants Disney to do a Budlight but they seem intent on doubling down and throwing money away

Leia's bikini scene at least made sense in the context of the story. The robeless Jedi scene in the Acolyte was straight out of a bad fan fiction.
The irony is that if the original Star Wars had included an alphabet storyline, it would have been one and done, never to have been heard from again. No one wanted that mess then, just like no one wants it now

The metal bikini, reminiscent of how many might picture harem girls, underlines this. Now compare this to the bare-chested guys in "The Acolyte".
