Another thing to ponder is what kind of licencing deal Ubisoft had with Disney to use the IP. They may have paid a large upfront amount, or they might be giving away a percentage of every sale. Past Starwars based games have not made money because Disney demanded stupid amounts of money for the IP.

Ghost reacon sucked after advanced warfighter, splinter cell is dead. Watchdogs only played 1 and never felt like playing 2 and 3. Ubisoft has been a dead brand for me after 7th gen.

Don't put up a sign saying 'girls only' and then be surprised when guys (Star Wars' core audience for lo the past 4 decades until recently and who still represent a plurality if not outright majority of game players) don't show up to participate.

That was Ubisoft's intention all along, to charge an artificially high price to encourage subscriptions to uplay. But it's probably fair to say that strategy didn't work and soon they'll be releasing Outlaws on Steam
