    I've watched a lot of trading DVDs by many different teachers in the day trading world, and Tim Grittani's Trading Tickers is by far the most helpful and informative DVD out there. Ive made more money from his thought processes on when to go long/short than any other strategy out there. Having these recap videos to watch from you lately has been a dream come true! lol

      He's very explicative & gets to the point in his *"Trading Tickers"*, If you've watched Nate's dvd courses, *"Tandem Trader & Investors Live"*, you could see the similarities too. He kinda gets his style from Nate i reckon.

    Thank you Tim, what Iike the most about your videos is your ability to describe the emotions and the process throughout the trades! This channel is by far the most informative and helpful one out there.

    Tim Grittani, God bless you for uploading videos of your mistakes and letting us all benefit from your experiences. Most traders will show you the trades they made $1500 on but they won't show you the ones they lost $1500 on. Not everybody has the balls to do that. Keep up the good work! We're more thankful than you know.

    Also Tim have you tried using your stradegies on large cap stocks does it work well from your experience I am thinking of using your stradegies for both large and small cap

    Looking at that daily time frame(especially before 9:40-9:50), when i see morning spikes like that, i usually think to myself that " TG is probably trying to short it at the top".... and i wrote some review(for myself ) on some of Fridays earnings winners that seems to have followed the same pattern as this one. If you like i can email it to you to look at and tell me where I'm wrong.

    Hi Tim, the answer to this question is important to me, where do you enter the short when an extended stock opens up red (no spike, no pops whatsoever) meaning, there's no green to red point? thank you in advance .

  • @Francisco-Danconia
    @Francisco-Danconia 6 років тому

    Tim, I just love how easily you admit your errors. You are an example of such low ego and humbleness, it's inspiring.
    I did have a question for you if that's ok? I know Tim Sykes recently wanted us to leave questions on a blog post for a Q&A video that will be coming out soon (I haven't noticed it out yet) and while I asked a question, I couldn't think of the important one I have right now.
    I know you have said several times that you just "let the trades come to you", and I feel I understand that. You let them manifest with the proper volume and price action, correct?
    My root question is, if that is true, did you trade only price action (or mostly) back in your first few years? I ask this because although I am scanning SEC filings for info that may give me clues for a bias, would you say it is still (for the lack of a better term) "Safe" to trade the price action almost entirely? I know there are plenty of times that stocks keep moving against what the fundamentals would suggest, which of course causes lots of squeezes, and personally I love that.
    While I have been consistently calling when a stock is over-extended and is ready to snap back, the issues are finding shares. I had asked you about any brokers with lower minimums that had the ability to pre-borrow, as I don't have 50k-100k...
    I like you just don't feel comfortable going long, but with short availability of the best stocks to short I am realizing that going long may have to be the staple of my routine until my account meets minimums for better borrows.
    I know you have said that this year you are going to pay more attention to the research side of things, but it has been taking me around an hour just to wade my way through SEC filings on each company and formulate a bias. If I can save myself the time (Not because I am lazy, but more because I have so little of it) and just trade based on price action and volume I'd maybe, ironically, feel more prepared in the mornings. Thank you for your time Tim, you are well appreciated as always.

      yeah definitely still focus mostly on price action, fundamentals CAN matter, but focusing primarily on those when trend is going against you is a great way to get squeezed big. so i'm still probably 80% chart focused

    That daily chart has speculative emotion written all over it, the moves in both directions get over extended, the mm from the flag breakout got stuffed at 100 fib level, which means it could still be in correction mode, and if it fails to bo and run, it couod easily fill that 475 gap and gravitate to the mid of the trading range at about 425...if its a trading range, which it appears to be, due to deep pullbacks...i.e. mania, and not a directional strong trend, it could break out for a move to 610, trap a ton of longs then go back to the mid or even the bottom of the range around 300...in other words, i dont see a 565 breakout as a big long oppo, but a 600 short to 475 gap fill at a minimum looks more probable in my minds eye, especially if the vol remains as low as it has been on this ramp compared to the May volume...but we shall see how it plays out...interesting space here, not a stock, not really a currency, and no real fundamental catalysts to me spells long caution..of course irrational markets can stay irrational...maybe it goes for a 1000, a 1000% increase in 3 months, lol...on the 600-610 short, the risk is probably only 40-50 for the trade idea to still be valid or turn invalid or if it stuffs 610 and has a solid 565 hold on the bo pb

  • @homeloanzain
    @homeloanzain 6 років тому

    tim if u feel like it, can you put ur trades on profitly ? i want to match entries and see if my ideas similar to yours on certain tickers. Also i only use two set ups, overextended gap down and first red day and my winning % has been incredible (thank you Tim)! Im curious as to why you and others still attack green days? its just so easy and not stressful to wait for it to go red. Like is shorting parabolics or into major resistance really worth the stress? Thanks tim i know i blabbered for a while lol

    Tim, I feel like i am in a dilemma always wanting to switch between large cap and small cap stocks after small caps are drying up and I can NEVER find shares to short even though I been dead on. Large caps I dont know how to trade and I remember you saying to focus on stradegies you know, but its so annoying when you see large cap traders making huge gains and laughing at small cap traders.

    Tim, you 're a very smart, educated and successful trader.. here, on this trade , I appreciate the honesty of the human error that you (we) were victim of.. BUT honestly there is something that sounds very strange to me...you are usually the one talking about SEC filings, or having a minimum of investigative process in some of these stocks (and don't misunderstand me, I m 110% technically driven as to when I take my trades), but in this video I hear you mentioning "pump&dump", "overpriced", etc..etc.. it is as if you didn't check what GBTC in the first place?! and I am not saying you did or did not check ,but since GBTC is a "fund", a depositary trust which simply invests its money into Bitcoin and nothing else, then It simply comes down to trading Bitcoin with an added premium that comes attached to this stock and its real NAV.. so I can't see the "pump&dump" or "overweight" effects you describe simply because I honestly don't think that anyone on earth has a crystal ball in order to say what the "real" value of Bitcoin is, and it is certainly not the product of one single promoter trying to pump and dump...
