  • Why I Don't Have A Bucket List - My Cancer Journey, this may surprise people but I don't have a bucket list as suck, not something you would expect anyway.
    This isn't like some bucket list movie, or bucket list idea, I can't even think of any bucket list quotes if I am honest. But if this was my bucket list ideas, or summer bucket list ideas I definitely would be traveling around the world.

    On my bucket list is driving from one side of the USA to the other with my hubby, including the Deep South.
    Taking our time, going to markets and annual foodie events along the way. Taking the time to stop at small town diners, listening to people’s life stories along the way 💕

    Death is a chronic condition that kills 100% of every living thing on the planet. Well, except for Dracula and zombies...
    Nobody knows the future. But if you live your life miserably, you will end your life miserably. If you live it awesomely, you'll end it in an awesome manner.
    Life, no matter how long or short, truly is how we make it, bucket list not included...

      Everybody dies alone most of the time if you are not involved in a collective suicide.

    Even without cancer, bucket lists are hard to accomplish because there are always other responsibilities and just general adulting that gets in the way. About 6 years ago, I had a very vivid bucket list item of doing the Tour Du Mont Blanc and spent a great deal of time mentally working toward it. But then life intervened and now I feel it's just a dream from a lifetime ago. At this point the best I can do is aim for general things like "I want to ride my bike new places as much as I can" or "go for little hikes wherever". I suppose bucket lists are good if what's on it is reasonably attainable all things considered. Otherwise, just try to find joy where you are.

    I've posted a couple of other comments. I think that you're wanting to help others is a good thing. When we help others, it helps us. I get what you're saying & the positives we leave behind us each day, may help someone, in a way we would never think about. I believe, we are here to love one another & when we bless others, it bounces back & blesses us. If we live our lives, only for ourselves then we've missed the point. We can only keep what we have by giving it away. 🌞

    My bucket list....go to Greece and to where my family is from in Italy. It's important for me to go back to my roots. But most of all I want to be happy in this one life ( that we know of), watch my children grow, and just really appreciate this awesome gift that we all have which is life. Is this too much to ask for? Lol. Try to be happy Daniel, you are doing great things for your community and I am happy to be part of it.

    My bucket list is the following: skydiving, scuba diving, white water rafting, travel-see the pyramids, castles, England. Spend time with my kids. Perhaps meet you. I need to have your positive attitude rub off on me.

    • @peeweetoms
      @peeweetoms  6 років тому

      I would love to skydive! I love rafting always have! I haven't scubadived in ages but plan to when I can! I love all the castles in england, I am right next to one now, I can see it on the hill! I would love to meet as many people as I can! So, by all means! :)

    I don't have a bucket list either. Don't want my family thinking they've failed to make something happen for me if the cancer gets me before I do whatever it is. By the way, why not call in on the McMillan Incurables group again? You have some responses to your post on there.

    • @peeweetoms
      @peeweetoms  6 років тому +2

      CJMatriarch just replying to them now, my family are mega supportive of whatever I want to do, but the bucket list just isn't something that I would do seems pointless. I have replied but just woke up :) but it is all about being positive, every negative is followed by a positive, I don't want to drag people down. I just want to bring light on rarer than rare cancers. :)

      That is not easy if it involves a lot of traveling to other countries. When you got an illness like cancer you are on a lot of drugs and having those with you can be a nightmare. Trust me i have tried.
