Final Fantasy VI is my absolutely favourite game (the avatar is a dead giveaway, I guess) and it would be difficult to count how many times I've been moved to tears by its music. This song marks one of the turning points of Celes as a character and, in conjunction with the wonderful pixel art, it creates something unforgettable. Thank you for this wonderful rendition. Also, choosing Italian for it was a nice touch (although the English version on Balance and Ruin is beautiful too).

After that, I am surprised you weren't kidnapped by a gambling fanatic with an airship just after a crazed octopus attempted to sabotage the performance only to be stopped by a thie-treasure hunter. Final Fantasy VI was weird. Still, the song was well done. And the video did a great job of capturing the essence of the Opera scene .
I remember a different version of this with original lyrics -- I always wondered what it would sound like with the old ones. I'm glad you chose Italian, because it really does give the piece an operatic feel that blends surprisingly well with your and Andrew's musical style. And of course, Tina Guo KILLS on the cello. Honestly, this is my favorite Final Fantasy song of all time, and I get such a thrill hearing you do it. :) Thank you!

Nobuo Uematsu is one of my favourite video game composers, I love the Final Fantasy Soundtracks. This took it to a whole new level though. it's phenomenal, 2:07 sent chills down my spine, it's been a long time since a song gave me that feeling. Thank you.

This was one of my favourites from 'Balance and Ruin', and it's fantastic to hear this arrangement with the Italian translation and Ms Guo's cello. Gorgeous work from all involved. I remember the old 'Final Fantasy VI: Grand Finale' album, with orchestral arrangements of numerous tracks from the game. It was the first time the Italian lyrics were used for the Aria, but that arrangement was pretty tedious. And I say that as an opera enthusiast. The version we've just enjoyed here is so much more captivating and uplifting, especially with the transition into the Prelude at the end.
Absolutely incredible. This and the Bohemian Rhapsody rendition of the Opera themes were two of the best tracks on Balance and Ruin, in my opinion. So awesome to see a live rendition of the actual Opera scene to go with it.

My only gripe is I honestly think this should be like twice as long... Or at least another minute or so. Just feels like there should be a bit more at the end. It's just so damn beautiful I don't want it to end....

Of course the audio is solid, since I knew the Balance&Ruin arrangement (I prefer it in Italian so this is a boon!). Addition of Tina Guo was a nice touch. BUT, for me, the big draw of this video was the visuals and the attention to detail. Becoming Celes, putting on the ribbon that holds SO MUCH symbolic importance in FFVI (from the Opera House to the possible Cid-mourning scenario at the beginning of World of Ruin) -- giving attention to that ribbon was a great idea. And the Beacon Theatre shots showing the balcony are fantastic. So, props to Landon Donoho and the film crew on this great video. Jillian, excellent as always. Tina, high-fives, hope you do more and more work in the VGM scene. :)

Unbelievable.., you really brought that theatrical moment to life! :D That Opera scene is still one of the best moments int 6. Cyan was always my favorite but Celes grabbed a bit moment in time there. Interesting, how such a sad song can still lift your spirit.
If they ever do a Final Fantasy 6 remake,and I hope that they do, my biggest, and possibly only, demand is that Jilian Aversa voices Celes so they can use this on the official video game soundtrack!
