- EVE Online: Havoc will be the second major expansion for EVE Online in 2023 and will allow you to align with the Angel Cartel or Guristas pirate factions and spread corruption in empire warzones or increase suppression as law enforcement!
Havoc also introduces brand new Angel and Guristas ships - including the long-awaited Angel Cartel titan - that will be obtainable using the new Pirate Insurgent Loyalty Points. All this and more are discussed by the development team, so check out more of what you can expect when Havoc launches on 14 November.

as a new player, i dont understand anything, but it sounds cool
So it use to be the 4 main empires would war with each other and pirates would just be players who target other players outside of the faction wars.
Now they are adding true support and benefits to being a pirate player.
The 2of 4 pirate factions are now joinable and you can fight for them for rewards.
😂 just jump in your coolest frigate that you can afford to replace at any given lost and JOIN THE FUN 😊 Learn as you go.
Let Jita fall to "low sec" and watch the fucking chaos ensue

Interesting, this also sound like something all players can join, as the at war part shows which pirate actions are fighting who.
So, in theory, I can still support my empire by being part of a pirate faction that targets my enemies.
As long as your current toon hasn't joined declared their allegiance to a faction you can do that.
Now this is the invasion style content we needed

one more real important question i have is about standing, how good must my guerista/angel standing be ? is it gurista/angel faction standing or corporation standing ? is there gonna be a new corporation standing introducted like for the normal fw, there its also split.
I think FW NPC corps will still take you if you're negative but someone with more details should speak on this, the point is CCP won't exclude 1/2 the playerbase because they ran a PVE mission 1 time.
Same question... I've been ÷10 sec for many years now.. so i am very much a pirate.. but every faction ingame hates 😂 either because i have shot rats at the gate.. or killed members of FW
@@s3p4kner That's what everyone is worried about. How on earth are they gonna handle the standings considering we've all been killing these pirates since the game launched. I've personally been playing for 19 years. I REALLY want to sign up for this as it would match my style of play perfectly. As I love to pirate and I'm a PVPer. So my corp would perfectly integrate into this new militia. Only issue is standings!
You need -2 or higher with guristas or angels to join their appropriate faction. You can do the epic arcs now to fix your faction. They've reduce the timer there from 90 days to 14 to assist on this.

For years, people have asked for the pirate factions to participate in FW somehow, and CCP is making it happen. Glad to see it!!
So, does a system only drop by one Sec Rating at maximum corruption? ie: a 0.5 High-Sec would drop to a 0.4 'Low-Sec' maximum for the duration of the insurgency?

So when we pledge to pirates, empires will attack us on sight in their highsec. Will there be some sort of "safe" npc space excuding zarzakh. Would be cool if when we have high pirate faction standing we can go and stay there with highsec mechanics for those with high standing
Not all empires, angels are at war with amarr and minmitar (so can use jita and dodixe). Guristas are at war with Gallente and Caldari so can use Amarr and Hek
But there still will be possibility that if for example I am with angels and go to jita, there could be amarr/minmil waiting there to pop me.
@@ikosanweee8203 it's possible but pretty rare I'd say. been in amarr militia for ages and never been killed my minmitar militia in Jita.
CCP should temporarily reduce the standings requirement to start the epic arcs. myself and many people I fly with are like -9 standings and would like to participate but its not worth the countless hours grinding to -2 standings along with the 3.0 standings requirement for the agent. just to do the epic arc, to then fix standings to just allow us to do the new content...
If you're talking about the pirate faction epic arcs, you can do those regardless of what your standings are with that pirate faction.
@Sepaedius if this is the case then he'll yeah, eve uni wiki said otherwise though. Iv only ever done the soe epic arc so I'm not too sure.
@@DevoutOG Go to The Agency - Agents & Missions - Epic Arcs. That will show you which ones you can run. :)
@@DevoutOG patchnotes even say you can do them every 2 weeks until decembre, insted of the usual 3 month. so if you NEED to grind standing, you can do so like 5x times this year (quickmaff)

Can we get the skill point loss for podding back? And the skill point loss along with security status penalty automatically spreading to alt accounts of the punished perpetrators?
Is it possible to track the fund transfers of scammers to their primary account? While preventing them to easily compensate the character loss by injecting LSIs to new characters using the stolen money?
Why can't players help expand empire high sec?
Why does every action in game have massive consequences on NPC standings, while people enjoy the anonymity of secondary accounts?
When is CCP going to implement basics which they promised 22 years ago?

I wish also Pirate Null Sec to be somehow upgraded ! like Sovereign Null .... Otherwise new ships and mighty Titans like for 20 years so far wil be for given players and alliances Only. Its good to create Content , but also the Content must be provided !
I mean, are we killing low secs and making them null sec? Feels wrong. There are enough null secs as it is
Now the problem becomes, how easy or hard are they gonna make it to increase standings? As we've been killing angels and guristas since the game came out. Ive personally been playing for 19 years. My standings are HORRIBLE. I really don't want to have to grind in nullsec to take advantage of this expansion. So I hope they are going to be releasing a fast track. As long as you can afford it. (ISK)
Plus, I'm sure Angel and Guristas space is pretty well locked down. So it's gonna be hard to go out to nullsec and run missions for Angels and Guristas.

I think calling the sites Plexes was a bit of an oversight seeing as how the in game currency is Plex.
Back when, PLEX, the currency wasn't a thing. Complexes / plexes and DED sites were what players could run in space.
Oh dam this sounds awesome as hell but i suck at pvp so as much as i would like to play it i would get my arse whupped.
If your in a group and your on the pirate side, look for different corps running the sites! Theses sites are actually more PvE oriented, but enemy players can join them.
Prepare to corrupt Jita

NOBODY played as a pirate for the past decades. CCP allows more than one account, even enabling players to simultaneously use multiple accounts with their game launcher as long as all used accounts are paid for.
The anonymity of secondary accounts has always enabled people to literally perform piracy and grief play without ANY consequences to their main characters.
And even if they are caught, the introduced skill point trade system (Skill Injectors) allows one to quickly raise a new max-skilled character from nothing using simple in game currency after scamming a major corporation, alliance or community.
Ships costing nearly nothing can be used by a flock of untrained new characters to eliminate even most seasoned players in high-security space with no real or lasting consequences. Major fleets can only watch helplessly if one of their freighters or haulers gets ganked in high-security space.
With the advent of this event, CCP has introduced yet another mechanism to artificially pitch players against each other, while simultaneously helping destroy players accumulated wealth and ships for no real reason but except hoping to 'reignite' their grinding to earn back what they lost.
96% of the players I started out with quit the game long ago, since they neither wanted to pay for a secondary account nor play under the *massive* disadvantage one has in comparison to someone using alt chars.
Just being able to 'scout for oneself' is a ridiculous advantage, while in contrast some rare players use 20-50 accounts to gank, destroy and rob larger fleets solo, simply transfering the robbed wealth to a safe anonymous account.
Mining or similar activities are not profitable at all any more, since other people mine with dozens of accounts simultaneously, maximizing their ingame profits per reallife hour spent, massively reducing the price of resources.
The only way to see the massive inflation in game is to compare how much a month of gametime costs:
While it started with 50-60 mio ISK to pay the PLEX required for a month of gametime, it now costs 2.5 billion ISK. While one had to save up a week to afford something like a Falcon back in the days, people now buy extremely rare ships from their pocket money. No matter how high the loss, the income doing certain activities is so high makes it a minor setback. The massive inflation is only compensated by most everyone already having all the skills, ships and modules they need for their regular activities, maxxively reducing demand for ships.
And CCP continues to destroy player assets and spin the grinding machine, so the player base may get distracted by having to find new levers to pull to grind ISK.

-2 or better standing for the pirate factions? I think mine is pretty much -10 to all pirates.... Don't really feel like starting a new toon with current day plex prices. Pass.
Buried in this was the admission that standard Faction Warfare is an "eternal war, where they'll be pushing and pulling on those systems until the end of time," and I can't think of a less attractive but more accurate description for FW.
I don't like Guristas, or Angels. I like Mordu. I am a member of an Elite Caldari faction war alliance. Think twice before choosing Guristas
Mordus Legion is not a "pirate faction" pr.say... at least they were a mercenary force last i read the lore?

No pods without concord are you kidding me why corrupt a system to not be able to FULLY pvp?
Normally If a person shoots back you can shoot the pod though. As a suspect timed pod is always killable. - i suspect it to be the same here.
But if you gank a ship that does not shoot back, concorde will attack you if you pod kill.
I think maybe its to avoid smart bombs?

god damnit... I play Faction Warfare because I don't like null-sec & it's been a great little spot for solo pvp... now you're making it null too.... great...
only at max corruption, what means you can defend it, but i guess it will be hard to defend it solo..

There wasn't a real reason to kill pirates before. Now there is.
As a solo player, you absolutley can help, these events start off small (frigate based) at first then it will get larger as the corruption increases in the system.
As a solo player, especially one in the milita you can help disrupt these activities.
You've got a reason to fight, and to keep the suppression off of systems.

The "security" is a joke. 6 Tornados to take out a Marauder in 5 seconds with throw away alts. One shot from tornado to blap a cruiser that just lands at jita (0 seconds because of lag). You guys basically make it no skill and no chance. Your bounty system is a joke, your insurance is a joke. In addition, your benefits for scum bags (pirates) are far better than the "suppression" side. I tell people to stay away from your garbage game.

I can almost guarantee that this will result in massive changes to sec status and a resulting clusterfuck in the economy. CCP, you will need to make the reverse possible as well, i.e. for Militia to disrupt pirate systems. Otherwise it will eventually hurt your bottom line as highsec only players will end up leaving the game.
Did you not see the same video as the rest of us? This isn't applying to areas like Jita or Amarr; it's sticking mostly to the warzone regions.
@@Sepaedius Rens is two jumps from the warzone. Hek is one. According to the video, highsec systems adjacent to the warzone can be corrupted as well.
then the barebears will have to ask some big players to help make it safer.
Finaly. Now, please make the ships also flyable like in a simulator, for those that prefer.

@@Nyxcha PvE and Mining and Destribution sounds terrible in a warzone, sounds like you need to move then. EVE is not about not being inconvinient for you specifically.
Since these invasions will be events limited to regions around the initial FOB, I would assume CCP will somewhat control where these happen so that critical trade routes aren't impacted. Then again, maybe they drop one near Uedama just to start some chaos and tears 😂
