    As always very informative video. I like how detailed your videos are and I've learned so much out of them. I'm here since MyMateVince gave shout out to you on his channel and now I see your channel is picking up. I believe in no time you're going to be considering UA-cam as your full time job. Great work, keep it going 😉 Thank you for everything I've learned. Cheers mate, peace 👍

      Thank you mate, I'm happy to have you here, the support means a lot (I really mean that). UA-cam will become full time for me when I hit around 200k subs I think, that's when I've estimated my earnings to be enough to give my family a comfortable life :)

      @@TheCod3r looking at how numbers are going up you'll get to that milestone in no time. I would say until the end of this year you should be there 😉 As far as I read about other successful youtubers the hardest is to get up to 10k and then everything picks up so basically you're there already 🙂

    Hello Pal, just joined the channel and love this type of work.
    Always wanted to learn about motherboard faults etc.
    I'm currently looking at getting all your recommendations of equipment.
    I shall also start reviewing some of your old content to start gaining all this extra knowledge.
    All of which I am looking forward too.

      @@TheCod3r This type of content is priceless, the zoomed in view enabling us to see exactly what's happening. The true out come from your tests.
      If it fails it fails, not everything works and I realise this but knowing I have tried everything before it's deemed redundant.
      However if the fix works, that sign of personal relief is also priceless.
      I just watched the video regarding the unit from the USA that you fixed.
      That feeling when you got that white light and then the display.

    How do you know if the CPU is toasted? I have a board that pulls .41a with the battery in and with it disconnected it stays at .05 and .07 if i hold the power button for a little bit than it will go to .000... I have no shorts and im out of ideas.... I keep watching your vids and the people you support but no one else has the problem.. Keep up the good work! My next project is changing out one of the ram chips to fix a blue screen on a diff board.. I hope.. If i push on the one by the m92 it turns on.. You ROCK and thank you for all the tips!

    Great job. What may be the cause when a switch is unable to connect to pc (device descriptor request failed error), usb port or some IC?

    Can the p13usb fail without internally shorting mate ? I have a switch charging but not turning on but no shorts, rekon its worth swapping the p13? This is a water damaged switch, corrosion around the charging ic and m92 but not the one on the back . Maybe this is m92? There was corrosion on the ssd connector aswell so hopefully its not dead

    nice, thanks for your informative videos. i have a Switch at the momment that only draws 0.4a and there are no shorts near any of the major ICs, M92,BQ, P13, the usb-c port reads fine using a breakout board. Have you got any ideas? im stumped

    • @TheCod3r
      @TheCod3r  3 роки тому

      0.4amps is a tough one. that said, if possible give M92 a try anyway because they don't always show signs of shorts

  • @jbsmith86

    if the short didn't go away when removing p13usb what would be the cause of that?

    • @TheCod3r
      @TheCod3r  3 роки тому +1

      If the short is still there it's a shorted cpu unfortunately, and then it's either either full cpu swap (which isn't worth it) or it's a no fix at that point

    Hi, I have a switch that gets stuck at 0.46A. I got the switch with a defective USB C port. After the exchange, it turned out that the M92 was defective. I then exchanged it. I also exchanged the P13USB but the console still gets stuck at 0.46A and does not turn on. Connected the console to the computer. A console in RCM mode is displayed here!? 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂ (this is a patched console!)
    Is it possible that the EMMC is defective?
