- These awesome gauge overlays - www.addw1.com // Installing these $69 ADD W1 Gauge overlays in my Nissan 350z. I was a little weary on how the finished product would look. Would it look cheap? All said and done I'm blown away. I did not realize how much I didn't like the original orange and black setup. These overlays are super rad! Check out the tools you need below.

Side Show_ Bobby Hill that’s pretty good there’s a 04 by me and it’s custom built and already has a turbo installed for 13.5k I’m thinking about getting it and switching the single turbo with a supercharger

Just finished these up today! Wiring with the add a fuse was very easy. You said 3amp or else it wouldn’t work, but I used a 5amp and put it near the bottom row of fuses in between the two blue ones in case you don’t have a 3amp and only the 5. It works perfectly and really wasn’t hard to do! Thanks for the tutorial!

it’s an additional 53.99$ for the Oil pressure, voltage, etc gauges. coming to about 123.99$ all together.
Jc still not bad. The end result is pretty sick, I rather pay that than the couple of hundreds price that some custom makers charge for kinda the same job

Followed this video almost step-by-step. I own an '08 Z so there are several more steps in order to remove the gauge cluster. If you use an add-a-fuse, I highly suggest using the open slot next to the 15amp Cigarette Lighter fuse (Powered when vehicle is "On"). Also, make sure the overlay is completely flat and center. After putting everything back together, I realized the center hole was off by a tiny bit, less than 1 millimeter. My RPM needle was incredibly choppy and overall just looked ugly as it struggled to move, along with my Speedo meter getting stuck at 35mph. It can seem completely lined up, but make sure NO PART of the needle is touching the overlay, including the tiny piece that hangs off the rear end of the needle (And yes, I made sure they rotated with no resistance before putting everything back together). I ended up having to take it apart about 3 times to adjust the adhesive by cutting under it with a razor blade and pulling on the overlay. Overall, just take your time and the turnout will look amazing
Pretty sure they sell the 07-08 gauges separately on the website, maybe there's slight differences in the gauge clusters?

Kylethebat if you’re looking for something for a G there’s a guy on Facebook that sends full clusters in whatever color you want, it’s a bit pricey but from my understanding it’s plug and play

and easier way to apply the sticky is to just pull the backing off a little bit and then once you get it into place you can use the little bit that you pulled off to pull it all the way off and it might also help to slice the backing in half so you can pull off one half at a time

03-04 FairladyZ have the non-revup DE 05-06 got the Revup, then the 07-08/09 got the HR, im trading my 03FairladyZ in at the end of the year for a revup. the g35 or jdm Nissan skyline got the revup in 03 but only manuals.

Question, how delicate are the gauge needles because I have an 04 Maxima and they don't want to work because I'm assuming they are very delicate?

So...... it’s been a year, how did these hold up? I think they look awesome and am considering doing mine, but I want to make sure they don’t fade or otherwise look like garbage after a few months.

hey I recently bought a 350z and it has the same gauges but won't turn on. the needle works and lights up but the main cluster won't turn on. they used to but not anymore. could it be a blown fuse or a new bulb needed?
I love mine however my first set that came with the black box cant remeber what is really called but it went out so they sent me another one and my lights were never bright like my first one. They are a lot more dimmer. In which I dont care for now like the first time such a brilliant blue
