Thanks a lot Sir! That's what I always wanted to listen, how graciously you created opportunities and became a shining star, also a boosting source of inspiration for us.
Dr Baland listening to you talk on these UA-cam videos is awe-inspiring indeed. I only wish you were around years ago when I was a young man but even at the age of 62 I'm so glad I came across you. Peace and much respect. Tom
What you said makes perfect sense. It makes me want to revise my thinking a lot of things because I tend to think negatively about myself sometimes but now I think that’s because I conditioned my mind to think that way.
Hi, my dream is to become a neuroscientist. I live in Turkey, I graduated from the Psychological Counseling bachelor degree and I took the exam called ALES for this(be neuroscience PhD) and I am waiting for the result. I'm trying to learn by myself, I finished the MIT course(on UA-cam Human Brain course). Nancy Kanwisher an excellent teacher. There is three online free courses at Harvard and a thousand-page book, about neuroscience which I will read. Andrew Huberman's podcasts, Chorlette Fraza's videos are also very good, I watch them too, but I guess it's a bit difficult to be a neuroscientist with UA-cam :). Your success very inspiring for me... Do you think I'm on the right track? I mean, are there any alternatives for people like me who don't live in Europe or America? That's the right question I guess. I feel little bit stuck actually.
@@DrBalandJalal I just watched your video on JackMaate and was so intrigued. I've always thought about and analysed the reason my brain makes me feel certain ways or makes me do certain things, even with some friends. I find it so interesting and I was never interested biology or chemistry (which is why I'm currently studying business at Warwick). Do you think there are any places I could trial out some neuroscience classes? btw I am from iraq as well.
