People say grunge was the greatest contribution to popular music in the '90s, but even as someone who predominantly listens to rock music I still say trip-hop was THE genre of the decade.
I love Trip Hop deeply. That said, let's not go crazy here. Grunge changed ALL Rock from then on. Still being felt today. Trip Hop hasn't had the lasting effect Grunge did. It's a shame, yet makes Trip Hop an even more lustrous pearl of music.
Portishead is Amazing 3bstudio albums - Dummy, Self Titled, Third, and a live album Roseland Live At AYC. all of them are worthy checking out. Go chronologically
Great reaction video Sir. Loved it. The vibe of that entire concert is outrageously good. There are some other reaction bangers from this concert you should check.
They where not Big Band Jazz when they first released this. I'm happy for where they are now but they where on the ass-end of the rave 90's, everyone to tired to be high and dancing. That's basically Triphop in a nutshell. Slow down, make some good music, let people chill while coming down. Portishead and Massive Attack came up at the same time, doing the same thing, and their original albums are absolutely gorgeous.
Miss Macy Gray is way higher (Met her at V2000 in Chelmsford England. Managed to wangle a backstage all-access pass), although this fine lady can also go higher. :) Met some members of Cypress Hill as well at the bar backstage hahaha Despite how legendary they were willing to engage with a lone groupie in disguise weirdo at the bar hahaha #legends
Now you ABSOLUTELY must do ''ROADS''. It's an order...
This album is still in heavy rotation in my house. Trip hip is the most slept on genre out of the uk. Yes do ROADs next.
@@berrycreative7196 since 1998! My absolute favorite live album ever

Trip Hop felt like the music of the future at the time; it still does.
Yeah, trip hop might be a branch where it largely ends. And if so, may it bear the juiciest fruit. 😋

You got the title wrong bro, the song is ''All Mine''. I loved this band so much... please subscribe!!!
I bought this album on LaserDisc. Remember those?
I have this concert on DVD but LaserDisc is a real blast from the past. Love that.

Great song, but more than a little creepy, especially if you see the original video. "All mine, you have to be". "To the day I die......"
Portishead are class bro. Sex music. (trust me) hahahaha
