Woodturning - I Build a Tower with Square Wooden Rods
- A construction designed for woodturning with square wooden rods and slices of wood glued in epoxy resin in radiant colors. The lathe offers many possibilities for creating unique and beautiful pieces, but only if a few geometry principles are respected, otherwise the work will not be satisfactory.
In this video, I use different types of wood like jatoba and sapele to create shades with interesting reflections
The job is finished with carnauba wax.
This lathe carpentry project can be done by a beginner as long as you know how to use woodworking machines safely.
I film my projects in my woodworking workshop so I can share my ideas with you, in a relaxing ASMR-style atmosphere, without music or words. You will be lulled by the ambient and natural sounds of the workshop.
Good viewing !

Bon visionnage !

Good grief that looked exceedingly time-consuming. But well worth it. It's beautiful and extraordinary. It gives me ancient Egyptian vibes for some reason. I really love it.
Debsmith
yes it’s true that he has a bit of an Egyptian style 🤔I’m glad you like him
Extraordinary! I love that it evokes the idea of a basket. The resin and wood colors are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing another masterpiece.
Thank you so. much Gwynn🌸
I love the contrast of the wood and the resin.
Thank you Harry😉
That is really awesome. It looks like a new shape for a pot. I like the way the blue and purple blended as well
Thank you so much Jean🌸
The Gladiator springs up in my nonse. Beautiful ….thank you again.
Thank you for your comment John 😉👍
That would have driven me even more insane than I am. You have more patience and more skill in your little finger than I can even dream of having.
Mark

Thank you so much I'm very glad you like it 🌸
Oh dear a new favourite!!!!
❤️Irene thank you 😊🌸
Beautifully done Morgan flawless as always
Thank you Joe😉👍
I envision that piece on a table or lower shelf with some kind of stand that would display the container at an angle with the lid placed so that upon inspection one can see the inside as well as the top. Simply placing this on a table or shelf with the lid on would be an injustice to you and your creation because there is as much for the eye to absorb and enjoy inside as out. Thank you, Morgan for another chef’s kiss of an item to ogle over.
Big thanks Enaidyeltneb😊
It's awesome to see creativity, skill, and the right wood and tools come together to form these amazing pieces. Very nice. Thanks for sharing this with us
Thank you so much Deborah🧡

Hi 👋, Great job , 👏 Phil from the moulin
Thank you Phil 😉👍👍
Very beautiful sir have a great weekend ✌️
Thank you cookies 😉
Very pretty! This intricate design would take much patience to create. ❤
Thanks Lynn🧡
Yes, in addition, precision is essential in gluing because with the stacking of small parts it risks not going very well and causing aesthetic problems.
Striking, my friend.
Thank you Lee😉
Brilliant idea. It turned out spectacularly.
Thanks you so much Lea❤️
So beautiful, as always, a lot of preparation again, I ( personally) love the colour graduation in the epoxy, a great result, I obviously don’t have your skills, and even if I did, I wouldn’t have the patience to do all the prep work that you do! Congratulations!
Alan
Big thanks for your comment😉👍
it's true that the little color gradient in the resin is interesting because it gives depth with each little square
So beautiful work 😍🫶

Hola! Feliz dosmil veinticuatro!
Hola German

Thank you Steve😉👍
Beautiful piece
thank you very much for your comment 😉
Really gorgeous!!! ❤
Thank you Sue🌸
Oh my! I would have had finger tips in the design using super glue!
Beautiful as always, I'd have to put fairy lights in. Love how the lid pattern doesn't match the side, it does, I know but it's different. It annoys me when the pattern gets glitched for a lid. xxx
Hi Tina
thank you very much I’m very happy that you appreciate my work 🌸😊
Another masterpiece sir, thanks for sharing this video. I was surprised that you didn’t use the laser to cut circles while you were fractionalizing the sticks. Your creativity is amazing.
You may think this silly, but have you ever considered using a sacrificial column of plastic rather than wood for the central core. Initially I thought you might print a hollow column that could be glued to a wooden base bit that much PLA is too expensive just to be thrown away; second thought, empty medicine bottles. Plastic containers could be stacked and glued, mouth to mouth.
Wishing you and your family a blessed new year filled with peace, happiness, good health and joy. Peace brother
Hi Catgynt
Thank you very much for your comment🧡
In fact, I did not use the laser to cut the circles because the type of wood used is too soft and it would have blackened the edges😉
Thank you also for your suggestion of using a central plastic cylinder piece because this avoids wasting wood.
I have also already tried to make these cylinders in PLA but given that PLA does not withstand the heat generated by the resin during the hardening phase, the structure risks deforming.😉
Wow that was time consuming,But it is beautiful
Thank you Yolanda 🌸
Exquisite!
Thank you so much for your comment 😉
Good work❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you RAGHBIRsingh🌸
Just amazing!
Susan thank you so much for your comment ❤️
The design and workmanship is fabulous! But I don’t like that color blue, maybe pearl white or pearl black?
beverlym
Yes there are a lot of color possibilities with this type of piece😉
Thank you so much for your comment 😉
BEAUTIFUL BUT lots of work but very niece.
MANJITsingh🌸❤️thank you very much I’m very happy that you appreciate my work
it's beautiful. where are you from great work art I mean!!
from my poor head🙃🤪
Hello Morgan there was alot of time and imagination in this piece. How long did it actually take you to put together and turn? You are very creative and patient and have alot of passion goes into your work. I like the contrast of the resin with the wood its lovely. The lidded pot is magnificent and unique I love the inside oof the pot its beautiful. Thank you for all your hard work and marvellous video. Amanda xx
Hi Amanda
thank you for your comment ❤️
I'm glad you like it😊
This piece took me a lot of time, I didn't count the exact number of hours but the work was done over several days because I had to wait for it to dry.
👍👍❤
Thanks bob👍
Please return to longer format videos like before your biggest fan Marc-Antoine!
Marc
I also prefer long formats, but I have to make shorter formats otherwise the video is less presented and therefore fewer views☹️
Seulement mon opinion. Je vous apprécie beaucoup merci beaucoup

I take note of your advice🧐
In the meantime, know that I am very happy that you appreciate my work😊
