Thank you, Nancy. I enjoyed listening and learning from you today. Always good to give grace and to remember our stories and journeys are all different. ❤
Nice chat - We all need to hear that. BTW - my Paul Klee is my favorite knit to date. I did it in Rowan Felted Tweed and added mohair top some of the color blocks, and I did corrugated ribbing on the cuffs in the same color order as the yoke. So pretty, if I do say so myself!
I agree, don't worry about aging arms. I live in a ridiculously hot environment and I am not going to suffer in long sleeves out of vanity. What you see is what you get!
Help your helpful tips! I count by 3's, most often... sometimes by 2. And, I used a round pill organizer for my stitch markers and other small items. baggies for circular needles marked 0-3, 4-7, etc. Straights are in a needle organizer. You're right, makes a different when you're not digging around in your bag for small items. I knit something everyday and crochet sometime every day. My hands are not happy unless I do. 72 and always learning something new about this lovely way to live life (knit and crochet). Been knitting since I was 5 (taught by a Great Aunt), but, never advanced very far. Now am trying. Crocheting since my 20's, and same thing. Enjoy both so much. thanks so much for being there. Would love to visit your shop (I'm in Oregon). Love, hugs, prayers to you.
Thank you for your opening comments. We are all human, and that means we will have rough days. So will your fellow humans. Something we all need to remember. And have some tolerance and compassion.
I liked your talk in the beginning. Your right we don’t know what any one is going through. We need to be kind to others and have patience when dealing with other people. Thanks for inspiring us to keep knitting!
I'm in Australia and might not ever get to your shop. Thank you Nancy, your youtube sessions are wonderful and your gentle and helpful approach is so inspirational. 😒
Wow what a wonderful podcast..enjoyed everything about it. I am 73 and have trouble finding channels that I can relate to..wrinkles on arms have been in my thoughts since the beginning of Spring! You have me convinced ! My arms are what they should be at 73, why hide them! I really needed to hear that. Now to listen to your other podcasts I am sure I will enjoy them all.
Hello! I’m a crocheter and just started knitting a month ago. I was working 30 minutes almost everyday on my practice piece, then crochet for a while. You are correct, my knitting has improved from daily practice. I’m now splitting my knit and crochet time evenly now.
YES!! Let's be more like Dame Helen, and Dame Judi! Wear what you like. Be authentic. Don't hide. We have earned our years. xoxox always love your videos.
The tote bag is absolutely beautiful and a great buy!! I think your top will be great for a summer piece , your young enough to to get away with just a bra!! So go for it🧡🧡🧡
I live in North Carolina but I have visited your shop, and purchased yarn several times. You are your staff are always kind, friendly and very helpful. 2:53
Than you Nancy . you are a real inspiration. I wish your shop was closer to me, but I do really appreciate all your knowledge and ideas.....they have really helped me be a better knitter and have given me good ideas for projects that I would like to do. I am half way thru my first tee because of you! I appreciate your teachings.
Hi, Nancy, just watching this video, wise words, and sometimes i think you don’t realise these things till you have a few years on the clock, it’s life experience i suppose,i used to get so upset if somebody was rude to me in a shop, it was purely because i didn’t know how to handle it. But a good reminder,to be like what you said,be kind whether you are a customer or a shop assistant. I do really like the way you speak and talk so natural. Thank you. Pamela hall
Talking about the Line yarn, I wanted you to discuss the fiber content. You mentioned cotton and linen, but there is also quite a bit of viscose in it, and I want to know what that is, and how it changes the yarn from just cotton and linen, and if it is man-made or not. Will you talk about that? Thank you.😊
Nancy you are quite right about wearing sleeveless tops. Why not. Older men show their wrinkles with wild abandon and no one says anything. Alas women tend to criticise other women, which is a shame.
Nancy, do you do Show Notes? I love the Lena yarn but I’m looking for the manufacturer but the transcript for your video isn’t spelling it correctly so I can’t find it. I love that beautiful summer cardigan!
We send most of the show information in our Saturday shop email. If you would like to be on the mailing list, please email: store@blacksheepknitting.com
Thanks for another delightful podcast. I have one question about this beautiful patty top as I couldn’t find the pattern. Where do I find the pattern? I really would love to do that. Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend
@@blacksheepknitting7905 thank you very much, I’m sure this will be one of my next projects. Another inspiration I got from your podcast. Have a very nice weekend

Thank you for your thoughts
Agree with you 100% about people having a bad day; no need to take it personally. Sometimes a kind word can snap them out of it.
Knitting every day is a must - for mental health! The stitches add up and bring a smile to your face!

Thank you for your reply. Take care.
I just discovered your podcast and love it. Is it possible to add links to the patterns you mention?

I'm sorry I missed your reply! Viscose does come from trees and adds stability to the cotton - linen blend. The yarn works up very soft and drapey.
Nancy you are quite right about wearing sleeveless tops. Why not. Older men show their wrinkles with wild abandon and no one says anything. Alas women tend to criticise other women, which is a shame.
I dumped a gal pal because she body shamed people. She is obese now. I would never shame her or anyone else
