Very. Nice, thank you .
Nice footage of where I grew up. Thanks for bringing up cool memories of camping and swimming along there (the bush started at the end of my street. 15 minutes and you could be swimming.)
That must have been a devastating moment when you realised the beer was at home! Awesome to see the echidna! Another great video!
Thanks Erik. Yes that beer didn't last long when I got home and yes when I realised I thought to myself 'you idiot!'. Every hike is an opportunity to learn a new lesson.
That echidna was pretty cool, once I stood still for long enough, he just went on digging for ants and doing his own thing.
Superb content my man.
Glad you think so! Thanks
Beer at home unacceptable. Looked like a great adventure, you have some great footage here.
I know right! Who goes to the trouble of buying some craft beer for a trip and leaves it at home! Felt like such an idiot ... lol Thanks for watching and hopefully you learn from my mistakes.
@@hikerinaustralia I may have been thirsty for the same reason myself before 😶
Know that spot well. Eckersley has gotten very busy since social media etc.
hey FM long time no see, hope your doing well and still getting out there.
Great little adventure, amazing how fires change the surroundings.
Drone footage looks great!
You have me tempted haha
Enjoy the well earned beer!
The fires in that area were from about 18 months ago, and it is good to see how the plants can bounce back.
Should be interesting hiking over the coming months with all the fires raging at the moment. It will be like walking in a post apocalyptic wasteland.
Yeah that new Mavic Mini is pretty impressive, I consider it the first real good quality hiker friendly drone. :)
There are lots of Mavic Mini review videos on UA-cam at the moment, enjoy!
I certainly enjoyed the beer when I got home, but would have enjoyed it more on the trail. :)
Thanks for watching and commenting.
looks very dry, i must get back up there for a hike around. Deb from Shellharbour
Yes, the water levels are the lowest they have been for a long time. I'm glad there was at least a bit of water flowing through the rock pool. Thanks for watching.
Riiight. I was going to ask about drone flying in the National Park. The sneaky old 'just outside the boundary' shot. I know it well. When's the next hike?!
Being a new drone owner I'm really finding the various drone regulations to be quite unnecessarily overly restrictive.
I did a short practice hike (for my up coming NZ trip) last weekend and am working on the video now.
Also need to re plan my NZ hike as the track I was going to do (the Routeburn track) is now closed for the rest of the season due to landslides.
I'm not even planning on taking my drone to NZ. Although it is a beautiful country, the drone laws make flying there very difficult. :(
Yes, there's enough drone laws in Australia, without having to learn new international ones. Looking forward to your next vid!
Another good one as always mate, I bet you enjoyed that beer once you got home. Drone footage looks great 👍
Thanks Shad. Yes that beer was awesome. I'm very happy to finally have a drone. I've been impressed with all your drone shots which helped convince me to get one!
Great video. Beautiful country you have there. Subscribed to your channel✌️
Some pretty bush there mate very scenic, love the mavic mini my father in law has one and I want to steal it lol, so much lighter than my normal mavic and the footage looks fantastic.
Cheers Daryl
Thanks Daryl. Yes it certainly is a nice spot. I'm loving the tiny size of the Mavic Mini and how small it packs up. Hopefully I'll be out hiking again soon and get some more shots.
Thanks for watching.
Nice one mate! That place looks pretty cool!

Great video! the Rode smartlav+ mic you use, plugs straight into your phone and then you import the audio over the video when editing? or directly into the Hero7 ?
When I first got the SmartLav+ I was using my phone for recording the audio. I have since bought a Sony Stereo IC Record and a Rode SC3 3.5mm adaptor.
I find it easier to use that than the phone. (Just turn it on and hit Record, rather than unlock my phone, find the App, launch the App, hit record)
I do have the phone as a plan B should something go wrong with the Sony Recorder
I use KDENLive video editing software and it has a feature to sync up the audio from the Sony recorder with the Video from the GoPro. I'm sure other video editing product have that feature too.
You can plug the SmartLav into the Hero7 but you need the Rode SC3 and the GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapters. I don't like having to have the USB cover off the GoPro as then it isn't waterproof. If I'm hiking in the rain (although I'm starting to forget what rain is these days).. I can keep my GoPro out and just put the Sony Recorder away. (I typically just use the Sony for recording voice)
Thanks for watching!
