My first time through the Bible was with the One Year Bible in NLT. It’s a similar deal where there is a portion of both Testaments. It goes through the Psalms twice and Proverbs once. Without having seen the reading plan, I find myself thinking that having Psalms or Proverbs would be better than some of both. Proverbs particularly ends up being one verse or two over several months and I find I miss the way these saying connect with each other. I used a bookmark with the One Year Bible, because it does date each reading and I did not complete it in 365 days straight. I think it was a year and a month or so. The individual days take the pressure of some of us perfectionists who feel we have to wait until next January 1 and start again if a day is missed. I would like to encourage friends that reading the Bible through in a year is a great way to have regular time with God. I would also like to encourage you that God knows your heart and your life. Missing a day doesn’t break the relationship or hurt God’s feelings. God is still there the next reading. Just like your grandparent who is always excited to see you, no longer how long it has been, God is waiting to spend time with us. Look for that blessing, not the shame of missing perfection.
I almost picked up the large NASB version yesterday. Now that I know more about it, I think I will give it a try. I did however get a copy of your new book and plan to get started reading it today. Thanks Tim for your very informative videos.
Finally, someone did what I have been looking for. I don't like the dated versions because I don't always want to start in January. I can't wait tp get mine.
These look great! I’m reading through right now but not in a year. I’m just reading one chapter at a time. So it will take longer. I read it everyday. Thank you for this video!👍
So glad you did this Tim. Can’t speak highly enough about these Bible in a year reading plans -especially the way it breaks it up with OT,NT Psalm and proverb. I’m just days away from finishing with a group of friends. We’re using the NLT plan by Tyndale. Pick your translation and dive in.
@ I’m so glad we did the break it up method. Even broken up Leviticus was challenging. It takes about 20 mins of reading a day 10 min of journaling and reflecting. Some days the way they break up the text can be weird so some days you’ll want to pull out your regular Bible and reread the whole section.
I recently started the CSB Every Day With Jesus Daily Bible which breaks out the Bible similar to those two but also has a daily devotional, a prayer and further study suggestions. I have used the NIV, NASB and an NLT before for read throughs but wanted a different translation this time around. So far I am really liking this one.
I agree. The mix of daily readings really helps in BIY. I thrive with the Day count as it keeps me motivated. I recheck my # of day every few weeks. Others, do not. Either way looking forward to your news. These both sound like great Bibles. Personal note - I had never read the Bible before. Yes, I am Catholic. Anyway, the explanation from Father Mike is very useful. Hopefully maybe you are complimenting this in some way to accomplish this? Also, the Great Adventure Bible version I have has two ribbons. Given there are three readings a day, three ribbons would be nice. Just saying in case future editions of these Bibles have ribbons. I would consider at least three..
I read thru the Bible every year, alternate between versions and various plans. Just ordered two of these in the larger print for our older eyes. Love the numbering aspect, rather than dating. Thanks so much, Tim!! 👍🏼🙏🏼📖✝️
This year through the Bible sounds very cool with these new Bibles. I do not own an NIV, so I am thinking of purchasing one. OK, I want to hear more about reason #2, you have my attention! Thanks Tim.
I'm relatively new, so I'm currently reading through the NLT. I'm coupling that with the audible version, which has really helped. I started in Oct, and will finish in Jan, which is pretty cool. I'm looking forward to Jan 2025 announcements!
Tim! This is very exciting to me! My daughter recently started reading the NIV daily on her own accord and I was looking for a good NIV to get her for daily reading. I may buy two so her and I can do this together. Thanks man!
Love this !!! I am currently in Psalms as I am reading through the Bible. I need a new bible. Prayers for the Christmas giveaway coming up. This would be a good gift to myself tho lol God bless all and merry CHRISTmas!!
Thank you for the video, which has prompted me to start giving some thought to what i'm reading. I'll have to figure out which of the read-through-in-a-year Bibles in my personal library to prioritise!
I’m planning on reading through the Bible this next year and when I saw this video, I was very excited to learn more about this Bible. I’m ordering the NASB standard. Thank you Tim! I trust your reviews. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for this suggestion Tim. Used your link to buy two for my wife and I. We will be reading through in the next year. And, as to where yearly plans die, mine die in 1 Chronicles. Those names are brutal to get through.
That's a great idea. I am one of those people who was going to read the whole bible this year 2024 and have got left behind finding the will power to get through the Old Testament 😅😅😅, it has been really slow going but I will get through it. 😂
This is awesome! As mentioned before, I just became a follower of Christ after I was saved about 3 months ago. I have a desire in my heart to learn about the word of God. My wife and I have decided to read through the bible in a year, and we were just researching programs, apps and podcasts last night. Considering that ESV is the only translation of the bible I have ever read (not all the way through, its only been a few months lol), do you know of any bibles set up like these in ESV? If not, would you recommend the NASB or NIV for someone new to faith that has no background of religious understanding to base anything off of? All of this is new to me. I like that ESV is a more literal translation. I would love you input, and have a blessed day!
my favorite way to read through the whole bible is by reading it in Alphabetical order and then, just reading one chapter a day, every day. that way, all you have to keep track of is what book and what chapter you're on. now, since the bible has 1,189 chapters in it, that means it'll take you that many days to read through the whole bible but, for me, it works and anyone is welcome to try the same approach to see if it works for them too.
I think I just found another Bible! 15 point font is an answer to prayer. I don't particularly care for the way it's structured because I prefer to read chronologically. The NASB 95 would be my choice though. Let's see how much it costs. :)
@@carmennooner2027 Due to visual impairment I was also looking for a Bible with a bigger font and I got this Bible two weeks ago. I am so happy and excited with this new Bible in 15 point font, I would definitely recommend it!! Really, I hope you will be able to purchase it and enjoy reading it. I am just overjoyed and hope you will feel the same when reading it!
I am in my late 60s and having a difficult time with small print. I would love to have a copy of the super giant print NASB Daily Scripture. It will be interesting to see how you use it on your UA-cam channel next year.
A lot (well most all) the "Read the Bible" in a year plans (and Bibles) I find can discouraging for folks who want t jump into reading all the Bible The "NIV Daily Scripture Bible" is good in your get something from the different testaments and different kinds of writing (Gospels, poetry, prophetic, Torah, History). What about the "Daily Reader's Bible" from Tyndale? Have you reviewed it as to its format. I like it a lot. -- Just a thought.
I like the non-dated format. I am less enthusiastic about the translation choices (but to each his own). However, I think a Bible meant for daily reading really should drop the two-column format and go with a more natural reading structure. Also, the old testament, new testament, psalm/proverb structure is pretty common, but I would argue that it can lead to less comprehension of the context of passages in the Bible. So, sure, Leviticus can be boring, but spending weeks and months on Leviticus in small doses sounds even worse. I would argue that it would be better to get through the more boring bits directly (leaving out the NT passage) and get it over with and then slow down and mix it up when you get to some of the more beautiful or conceptually difficult passages.
No it’s not Chronological You will get the entire Bible From Genesis to Revelations so OT, NT, Then you’ll get either a Proverb or Psalm everyday Also they give you what they call a “devotional” it’s basically just a small summary of what each chapter is going over. It’s not very large at all. It’s literally like one sentence. For Example (Day 1) Gen 1:1-2:17,Matt 1:1-25, Psalm 1:1-6 And you’ll continue to read the chapters in order on day 2 & 3 but by day 4 you’ll already be on Gen 7:1-9:17, Matt 4:1-22 Proverbs 1:1-7 then on day 5 Gen 9:18-11:9, Matt 4:23-5:20 Psalms 4:1-8 So you get the OT, NT and 3 days of a Psalm then 1 Proverb then another 3 Psalms then a Proverb you’ll get Proverbs 31 the last chapter of Proverbs on day 364
Hey Tim quick question, is anyone currently publishing bibles in the RV and ASV? I have every translation that you mention in your book except those two. I would love to have a copy of these 2 versions!
What is the font size of the Giant and Super Giant Bibles? Is the printing of the letters lighter than usual which I have seen in many large font Bibles.
Are you suggesting we buy one of the daily scripture bibles if we are going to follow your 2025 video challenges? I’d like to get mine in the mail if you are going to use this with your 2025 videos :)
Can't do any deep study only in English. Need Hebrew, Aramaic (for Daniel 2-7), and Greek for advanced biblical study, especially inductive Bible study.
I purchased mine in the NASB translation I love that it comes in Giant Print and Super Giant Print ❤

This is exactly something I have been on the hunt for for 2025. So glad you shared! Also I love “day 1… instead of Jan 1.” Weird but satisfying to me
Thank you, Tim, for your suggestion! Very curious to know about your new project;)
😉
Ty for the super large print. I so need it in my middle age🤣.
yes me to, im almost 55
51 here😎

A nice Bible plan to read through the Bible!🤩
It's also available as an audiobook, so if you want to listen to the Bible in a year, this is a great option!
Just ordered one and looking forward to the announcements for 2025!
I am so excited for this Bible. It will be great if the reading plan came separate so I can use with another translation or Bible.
These look really good. I want to finally read through the whole Bible, so this would be perfect.
I love that they come in giant print and are not dated

This seems like a really nice way to read through the Bible
This is a great option for trying to read the Bible in a year.
Oh wow! I’m excited about the NASB ‘95.
Hey Tim, Thanks for sharing. I really like that it start with day one and not a specific date. I wish they came in a KJV or NKJV. Prayers Flying

I have the NLT Chronological 1 year study Bible. I may try something other than the chronogical read through. I like NKJV & NLT.

I have the NLT Daily Reader's Bible, which I started using several months back, with mixed success. I really must get back to using it more regularly!
This reminds me of a Bible my grandmother has, which is older and also in Dutch, but does the same kind of split.
This sounds amazing I really would love a good Bible Study too! Thanks Tim!
😊good morning everyone!
That is a great format, I’ve done a year read through of the cross way each study Bible, and it became cumbersome but this looks great!

So exciting for the channel features. I picked up the NLT every day devotional. It’s pink 🎉😂

15 point type face! Woot!
I like super giant print!

I don’t need another Bible , repeating this to myself… hmm I wonder if I can run to target and order? 😂lol. Excited about this ..

These are nice. I do a day in the Bible every year first thing in the morning.
I really like this. I’m admittedly new to reading the bible and I have no idea where to start. I think I’m going to pick one up
Merry Christmas!

Bible in a Year with Tim podcast?! 😀
That’s what I’m hoping 😊
This is perfect!!!!
This is cool! A great gift 🎉
Cool concept!😊
I loved the giveaway videos but I really missed your review videos. Glad we got one more before Christmas.
l bought an NIV version of this a few weeks ago and looking forward to starting in the new year.

Thank you Tim. A different type of read through in a year. I'd love to win one if possible.
I’ve already purchased the One year Bible in the NKJV
Just ordered the NIV Daily Scripture Bible in Super Giant Print. Went through the Amazon comment below, hope you get credit.
