It all worked exactly as shown and described. I have a few questions I can not find the answer to. 1) can I do a second coat of the metal Ceramic Coating? if not over the entire truck... can I use a small amount and hit some of the spots I did not get (ex along the edge of the door where the rubber gasket from the side window meets the SS)? Can you do a second coat of the 8 Year Ceramic Coating on the plastic? What are the cure times for both products? Thanks for the help!

It's also very dangerous to polish stainless steel to a mirror like finish. You can.blind other drivers when light reflects off of the surface. Those wheel definitely look better than the Aero covers. Great job guys!!!

How hydrophobic should this coating be compared to your paint coatings (Hydro Lite for example)? I applied it recently to some stainless and aluminum boxes and fuel tanks on a semi, and my customer complained they don’t seem much different. 9 days later I washed and checked water behaviour and it sheets very slowly with almost no beading. Did I do something wrong or is it supposed to be like that?

The engineering is objectively amazing. From the Gigacasting to the materials science to the extreme extreme extreme safety (as with all Teslas), the bullet resistant exterior due to Teslas proprietary alloy, 48v architecture. There’s a lot of haters out there who hate Tesla just because it’s Tesla or they see the styling and proclaim it’s not impressive, but if you actually know cars, you know Cybertruck is phenomenal. Go see Sandy Munro’s videos on Tesla and CT, for those knew to Tesla or who never bothered to actually read about it. But you also kind of have to know about cars.
I’d recommend anyone doing this go slow. You can end up with a panel that gets a bit of residue on it which reminds me of a high spot with traditional ceramic, but it’s more oily and smears.
This stuff ruined my Cybertruck... After the rain it left streaking down my panels. This is definitely not the product to use for a Cybertruck imo. I'm not the only one that has had issues with this same product.
DO NOT USE I used the iron remover and it has stained my steel and will have to polish it out. The rinseless wash does next to nothing! Dawn soap and water works better.
Our metal ceramic does. It’s been holding well on the exterior stainless steel on many vehicles for years. Tesla is not the only manufacturer to use raw stainless steel on the exterior of vehicles. Bus manufacturers like Prevost and MCI have been using stainless steel for exterior cladding for decades.

We are currently out of inventory. The underlying stainless steel is going to continue to oxidize over time unfortunately, this simply slows it down

Back in the 80s I was tasked with washing a DeLorean and was told to use vinegar. It seemed to worked good. Would vinegar work on the cyber truck?
Being acidic, yes but could tarnish it. The grade of stainless steel is quite different

No Ill effect on plastics. Using it sparingly as we do reduces the fragrance

From an ergonomics standpoint circular motions are easier on the body that starting and stopping

It’s not designed for hydrophobics, but to reduce oxidation. To add hydrophobics use DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss every 3-6 months

Online service manual has proceedure to resurface. Specifies grinder, discs and pattern to remove light/deep scratches or discoloration.

Tesla does not polish or sand them. It's a 3rd party detailer hired by Tesla delivery center. Someone F'd up that truck.
