Really nice to see people doing different things in the sim. I just commented on someone else's video that their video had made me realize that I'm wasting what's great about this sim by flying airliners. Same goes for yours. Great video!
I know exactly what you mean. I really got on an airliner kick for a while. I was totally nuts about it. But then I hit that dreaded wall where it was like ... "Okay, I can do all this in my sleep now, I've flown all the planes, I've won career mode--- now what?" And it was such an awful situation because I went from such a high to the low of feeling like I'd have to pack up my cockpit. Then it struck me that there is a whole world out there to see and explore, giving us an almost infinite number of reasons to get back in the air. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your sim-therapy ; )
@@MSFSFlightPlans It's truly an amazing simulator. I'm feeling the same way with the 737 at this point, basically all I'm trying to do is dial in my landings. I do a few flights that I find interesting but most are really repeats. Of course I focus on a particular part of the world, but even with just sticking in the Caribbean, low and slow is such a different world. In any event, what you're doing here is truly unique, I can tell you put a lot of effort into it, and I will say I think you have plenty of more followers to come. Keep it up!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the encouragement. I figured if I'd be doing it on my own anyway, why not put in the additional work to help the rest of us simmers find a reason to stick with it, right? Let me know if you have any favorite spots that might be worth checking out.
Happy birthday, Nick! Thanks for the tips on add-ons; I’ve been having problems with that too. My son has Quest 2 VR and it’s very cool (even if it’s older). I use TrackIR which I prefer for general use. I love castles and have always wanted to visit this area IRL. I have visited some German castles IRL, with Neuschwanstein being the highlight. It looks good in the sim. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this. I enjoyed it very much as always.
I'm impressed by all the effort you put into your videos. I guess it's a lot of research before recording. 😃 We learn a lot following along. It's all very enjoyable.👌And happy belated birthday!🥳🎈
Thanks! I really enjoy it. If I wasn't doing it for our flights, I'd just be sitting around watching documentaries and YT videos anyway. I figured giving back to the sim community would be a worthwhile use of my nerdism.
Great flight Nick! Eleanor of aquitaine's missing body is most likely on ebay. The French do have some stunning castles. I still like my Track IR. My Son is a games developer and often makes me look at his work in VR. Most times i need a bucket handy 🤮, so VR is off my list. Cheers ;)
IRL Mooney couldnt make the public happy and in sim its Carenado welllll anyway another Awesome video as usual and looks like you were one of the few who survived SU 13 I am envious.
I don't know if you caught it or not, hopefully not. But a few minutes after we flew over the Chateau in Angey, I looked out the right window (something I usually never do). The reason why is that I noticed a bunch of tiling on the GROUND out the left side and didn't want it to ruin the perception of the otherwise beautiful landscape in that area. That wasn't there on my previous flight, which was right before SU13 loaded itself. And I don't recall so much of that "burned" appearance on a lot of the terrain. Maybe it was always there and I just didn't see it before ... I was just a little paranoid. Thankfully, I've had no operational issues so far.
I recently found Eastern California (Palm Springs, La Quinta, Borrego). Absolutely stunning area and I have my own little airport I fly out of, Jacqueline Cochrane Rgnl (KTRM).
Great video - I too had an issue with the new Rex - but when I removed the Terrain coloring it vanished for me - they are working on a fix and I added a support ticket as well as Biggin HIll (payware) you can't start a flight from there, though you can fly to it. Some bugs but it will get fixed. Another area of interest, if you haven't flown yet (sorry if I missed it) - Southern Chile/Tierra Del Fuego - Beagle Channel (Charles Darwin) and the Straits of Magellan - looks amazing for the most part. Start at Ushuai and head north and stick to Western coastal mountains.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip. Del Fuego sounds very familiar ... not sure if I've been there or not, but I know we don't have a Chile flight yet. I'm also considering Valle de Luna, which might be in Argentina if it's not in Chile. I've been out there a few times and it is a wild looking bit of terrain. I'll check out your spots and get it on our list if there is enough to talk about.
I pulled it out because I thought it was causing the discoloration in some spots. But it still did it without Rex, so I'm not sure what was going on out there. So, no, it was not activated for that flight.
I need to figure out what's going on with this recent update before I can make the recommendation. I uninstalled it for that France tour, but once I saw there was still some discoloration, I think I might have been blaming a sim issue on Accuseason. I'm going to try another flight in a northern region and put it back in there to see if everything looks as it should. So standby for that. I'll mention my conclusion in the flight so everyone will know if it is working properly. I'd say just wait for 2024, but that could either be a few months or another year ...
BTW, if you didn't make it all the way to the end, I gave you a personal shout-out as we were coming in from that last big place. I figured a little name-dropping might make me seem cooler than I am.

If you haven't seen it already, check out the So Chateaux channel on UA-cam. It's nothing but tours of these places.
Amazing aircraft. A favourite of mine.
Whew, okay ... glad to know I wasn't the only one with a Mooney fondness. Thank you for that.

So, is accuseason worth having or just wait for MSFS 2024? I’m uncertain about buying it

as The French say................. But of Course a Chateau is a castle.
Please tell me you were wearing a beret when you wrote that ... well, it doesn't really matter. I'm just imagining you wearing one.
