It amazes me that every photo turns out INSANELY good. He's literally running around in puddles and snapping quick pictures and they look like they could be in a museum lol.
One thing about going outside and doing a photography session running around is that you get to take hundreds of pictures, but actually come out with 10-40 good ones. The pictures he shows are the good ones. But there's so many other ones that just don't make it. That's what's fun about at least.
@@Felrock12 so true! One of the times I went out to shoot, I must’ve taken at least a hundred photos, and got about 10 worthy ones. You just gotta keep trying because eventually you’ll get a great photo worth keeping, and even if it turns out to be a bad one, at least you won’t regret not giving it a shot

I really really want to get into street photography but I feel uncomfortable about it. I don't want to bother other people possibly ending up on a photo or actually intentionally ending up on a photo. However this video kinda took my fear away and gave me motivation to do it. Thanks man.
I’m a year late, but confidence is key. Getting nervous makes you look suspicious when you’re not trying to be. Also helps to have a lens bigger than, let’s say, 35mm, so that you’re not in anyone’s personal space when trying to take a photo. When people notice you, it can take away from the atmosphere you’re trying to capture, because they’ll no longer be focused on what they were doing that made you want to capture that moment. But really, the only way to break that anxiety is to get close-ish. I started with a 50mm f1.8 and after a few months of practice, I got accustomed to being close to the subjects I’m photographing
I love this style of live action shooting + the result showcased. as a beginner it gives me great insight into the process of taking pictures out there rather than talking about how to set your camera all the time.
Loved this video. Makes me want to go shoot in the rain now. I looked through all the comments to see if someone had asked, but I didn't see it. Where did you get that plastic bag?
I love that you edited the photos into the video so we are basically having the adventure with you! Really well made and entertaining video, I love it!
I wonder what settings you shot these photos at. The photos are so balanced. Perfect darkness and brightness at the same time, the lights are perfect aswel
Shutter speed 1/125, f2.8 🤯 I mean in Fujifilm X-T30 with 18-55 lens minimal aperture is 2.8, but he is shooting with 100-400 lens with 2.8. But the problem is that Fujifilm X-T30 is crop matrix. And his iso was in auto mode
Pierre would you mind posting the 'as shot' settings for some of the pictures when you freeze the frame in the video to show the processed pics? Are you on aperture priority with a minimum shutter speed? I thought I heard you saying that in the video.
i think he's on lowest aperature and shutter speed ranging from 1/100 - 1/200. I think ISO is on auto. when he takes the plastic off on the bridge to take photos, you can probably pause and see what settings he has.
@@ShutterManAce In terms of exact aperture, ISO, shutter speed settings for any given image, yes, it's unimportant. In terms of what modes he's using and what he's setting his parameters for those modes at, it could certainly be useful. It could also be useful to know what metering mode he's using (Matrix? Spot? Center? Average? Why?) and what type of AF setting he uses for this purpose (Wide? Single Point? 3D? Face/Eye Detect? AF-S? AF-C? Why?) For instance, there's a difference between using f/8 on just Aperture Priority and setting your camera to use f/8 on Aperture Priority with a minimum shutter speed of 1/500 so that if it drops lower, your camera will begin to compensate using Auto-ISO rather than dropping your shutter speed more. Sure, you can certainly work it out yourself with practice and experimentation, but getting a good starting point along with the REASONING behind those settings isn't useless at all. Personally, I will just use manual settings if the light isn't changing too quickly and spot meter off a given point (left over from my zone system days), but I might set Auto-ISO while staying in "M" and switch to matrix metering if things are changing a lot very quickly since it may be more important to get the image close enough in-camera and make any minor adjustments in post than it is to get it absolutely perfect on first shot (most candid photography where you're trying to capture ephemeral moments is this way).
