1999 Pontiac Formula LS1 SLP Loudmouth II exhaust

I picked up this car a few weeks ago and the modifications have already begun. 1999 Formula LS1 6 speed manual with 65k original miles. Stock exhaust manifolds, cats, and Y pipe. The car is bone stock other than the MGW shifter i recently installed and 5% window tint. More modifications to come soon!

my dad ordered a 1996 formula 6 speed brand new and I grew up seeing pictures of it and always loved the look of them. I decided that I wanted one once I started making my own money and found the perfect one!

So exactly what’s the difference between this and the trans am and ws6? Is it lower trim levels does the Formula come with a ls1? Is it still a T Top?

Formulas are basically a trans am without the high rise spoiler, ground effects and front bumper. Some other smaller differences but basically a formula is like a v6 firebird body with the drivetrain from a trans am. Ws6 and firehawks are where things get even more performance based. Most ws6s are trans ams (some are formulas 96-2000) and most firehawks before 2000 are formulas I believe.

Formulas can be optioned with a t top like my 2001. Also leather and traction control but that is more rare.
