Thanks for your comment 👍🏾 I appreciate the symbolism of portraying a physically distressed Superman and the “take me home” comment can connect to many aspects of his story. However, for me, after several big screen iterations of the character that have been arguably been devoid of joy, apart from the legendary Christopher Reeve-it was important for me personally to see a new teaser that captured two essential elements in the first vignette: aspiration and inspiration. Because Reeve's version was taught by his father in the Fortress of Solitude to understand and hone his abilities to grow stronger. Tom Welling's version had to gain all his abilities through his teenage years in order to use them the more he aged. He wasn't at his true strength, until he met Lois Lane and learned to fly. Only then was he actually the Superman that his parents knew he'd become. Even Lois sensed it.
Imagine me, at the age of 6, watching the last produced episode of the Adventures of Superman in April 1958, not knowing that I was about to enter a dry spell, which would last another 20 years, until Christopher Reeve came along to pick up Superman's Cape & his Mantle.
Respect your opinion n maybe a few would agree. But we have to put this movie into context of what it is against what you’ve seen before. It’s meant to be based on the comics look n story. Orchestra theme would’ve been too similar to the original. Nice to have a different opinion though
The reason for the choice of music and teaser was paying homage to all previous Supermen as we got a little of every Superman in the trailer. The music was to show you a mix of the old with a new modeen take. Paying homeage to John Williams and Hans Zimmerman by mixing the 2
I am very surprised that your take on this trailer was so negative. Additionally, this take on Superman, to me, seems more reminiscent of the classic Christopher Reeves movies...and I'm almost 50, so I can relate to that. This is definitely not a "new generation" take on Superman 🤷
I’ve watched the teaser a couple of times, and a distressed Superman wasn’t the opening I was hoping for either. I’m not a fan of the suit, and the guitar strings weren’t particularly appealing. Hopefully, the official trailer will improve upon this and bring something more uplifting.
I like that it starts off with a superman that is injured and bleeding cuz a complaint a lot of ppl that didn't read the superman comics have is that he's invoncible and you can hurt him physically
Showing him hurt wasn't what expected but i get it to show he isnt just this ultimate being that he gets hurt. Probably symbolism for how people trashed the character of superman. I looooove that score! Hey, dont hate on guitars. It's a fun take on that original score, lol. we actually didn't have that on man of steel it was in a different context, and you hate people chanting Superman? Ok weird Lol, im old school, and i see Superman in this. I dont see your criticism. im sorry, but no comment on even krypto?! Lol that at least won people over. Old school comic fans love these things. And to your friend not liking his hair i mean hes supposed to be a dorky guy in hiding. Yeah what exactly are you looking for?

Whether you’re cautiously optimistic or genuinely moved, you’re never afraid to express yourself. Your honesty and boldness are what make you unique. Keep being you love! 💕
Thank you do much x. I'm genuinely happy for those who loved the trailer. But the teaser didn't quite hit for me on first watch. x And yes l will always be honest.
So Lex Luthor uses Ultraman to pass him off as Superman and after a while Crypto comes to save the real Superman from death, Lex Luthor is angry because he thought he was dead and he won't be able to control Metropolis with his fake Superman. We will have a finale of Christopher Reeve Superman 3, a fight between the good and the bad Superman without anyone knowing that they have been fooled all this time and at the end Supergirl arrives as reinforcement for the very hyped final fight
Yep. And I wasn’t a fan of Man of Steel. It had all the elements to be great, but it ended up feeling joyless and didn’t give me enough to truly connect with Henry Cavill’s Superman. As for the James Gunn teaser, there were aspects I appreciated, but it didn’t quite deliver the excitement I was hoping for. Hopefully, the official trailer will change my mind.
Totally feel you on this, appreciate the honesty! The trailer dragged a bit, and yeah, the injury scene was cool, but maybe not the best choice for the start. Krypto was awesome, but him dragging Sup through the snow kinda threw me off. Overall, it was alright. And that electric guitar opening? Nah, not for me. However, still excited to see what the official trailer’s got in store!
at this point, just stick to marvel lmao, if superheroes aren't allowed to get hurt and be some invincible god then what's the point of watching a movie just for it to end in 5 seconds because the superhero will defeat the enemy in no time.
Hey Luna, First off, hats off to you for being so candid about your thoughts on this teaser trailer-it’s always refreshing to hear an honest take! I completely get where you’re coming from, and honestly, I’m right there with you on some points. To be real, this teaser didn’t exactly blow my cape off either. In fact, I think I enjoyed the teaser for the teaser more-remember that epic Celtic JW Superman score? Absolute chills. But this one? That opening guitar riff just didn’t hit the right note for me (pun intended). And let’s talk about the crowded house situation here-so many characters! Are they all going to get enough screen time to make me actually care about them? I’m not convinced yet. Oh, and the Daily Planet? It looked more like a hipster hangout than a newsroom. Call me old-school, but I’m all about that classic ‘78 Superman vibe. That said, it wasn’t all doom and gloom! I loved the bit where Superman shielded the girl from the gas canister blast-pure hero moment right there. And hey, this is just the teaser. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the full trailer gives me those "DC-can-stand-up-to-Marvel" feels. Thanks for the awesome video, and I hope you have a super (pun intended, again) Christmas! Here’s to epic movies in 2025-roll on!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! I’m glad you found elements of the trailer that resonated with you. I was hopeful. That said, I’m genuinely happy for those who loved this teaser - may that enthusiasm continue! 😊 For me, though, I’ll need a little more convincing to fully believe again after the magic of Christopher Reeve. Here’s hoping! 🤞
I totally agree with your reaction! When I first saw the trailer I thought it was good, but after several watches, it just doesn’t age well. Very derivative of what’s already been done.
I'm afraid you don't understand the character just watch Smallville he gets hurt a lot and then he comes back stronger they humanized him in that as well in fact way more than this yeah he's an alien but he's an alien raised by humans he's supposed to represent hope and not giving up
Hi 🙂 l’m fully aware of Superman’s vulnerabilities, battles and injuries as far as comics. To craft compelling stories, it’s crucial to define his power levels. A sup without limitations, risks becoming unrelated with stakes - trust everyone understands that. This is why I appreciate series like Invincible, where characters’ weaknesses and stakes elevate the narrative. As for the trailer, for me, it would have been more impactful to move the injury scene to the end or latter part, creating a stronger sense of intrigue and tension. And truncate the teaser - that’s my opinion.
@Lunarhodesavengers this isn't a Superman origin movie James Gunn said he's in his second year as Superman and he's gonna be like the new kid on the block in an established universe where so my reaction was omg who or what could've done this to him maybe it was Lex or Braniac we don't know if you remember that scene in Man Of Steel when the guy threw the beer at him and kept making fun of him Clark got pissed and wrecked his car that's not Superman whereas in this when that guy threw the can at he just kept walking that's what Superman would do so the scenes are similar but the ends were completely different
@@lordfoul6259 Yes, I understand it’s not an original Superman story - that was clear when this project was announced. However, I was hoping for a teaser that conveyed a sense of aspiration and joy for once. Since Christopher Reeve’s era, we’ve had a string of somber interpretations: Superman Returns he nearly dies. Man of Steel lacked a sense of joy, and in Batman v Superman, he dies. Now, the very first frame of this teaser shows a severely injured Superman, and everyone is in raptures. It's all a sense of peril. Yes, it’s just a teaser. Hopefully, the official trailer will bring me the same sense of joy that everyone else seemed to experience with this teaser.
For my thought on this trailer it’s good but I still say GUNN don’t mess this up lol, James Gunn is really good director and writer so I’m hoping it will be good
I'm a lifelong Superman fan since the original 1978 film; that said I did enjoy the trailer overall but I'm still remaining cautiously optimistic about it. I don't like the choice of costume nor am I a fan of the electric guitar version of John Williams classic theme. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the film delivers with a good story.
Thanks for the comment. For me, it was simply a matter of re-editing the trailer. I wouldn’t have chosen to open with the injury scene. While I understand the intention to establish his power levels and demonstrate that Superman isn’t invulnerable to pain, it wasn’t the most engaging start from my perspective. Loved him as Clark Kent though 👍🏾
It is a Superman film, whether it is this film or mos so there is going to be his humanity exploration despite of being an alien when people misunderstand him, so how u would say it was in mos, i don't want that?? The first scene shows his vulnerabilities, then people not liking him, he is balancing his human life with his father, lois , daily planet and also being superman with villains, other hero and lex , its superman's story and doesn't need to exclude the things which were portrayed before ....
I definitely want a Superman movie that's going to be thematically light....as opposed to Man of Steel and its sequels. The fact that this one is brighter in therms of color choice does give me hope. I also agree with Luna Avengers that an opening shot with Superman being defeated would not have been my choice. The score is also a concern. There are lots of videos on UA-cam of the Superman theme done with an electric guitar that sound better 🙂 But I dunno, I want to see a "full trailer" and see what happens with that. 🙂
The first time I watched this, I was like.... super dog?! Really?! Is this a joke? (I did not know the dog's name, I've not watched everything and don't read the comics.) Then all the other characters show up, and I was like oh this is a hot mess. Then I read up on it a bit, and now I'm quite excited for it. I love the color and how bright it is. I went back to watch the Man of Steel teaser, and it was practically in black and white. It was much more somber, and not nearly as exciting overall. I think this will be good.
1) When I first saw Kal hit the snow, I instantly thought of it as metaphorical. Supes was the first superhero, and the state of superhero movies does feel like they've been beat up. (As an aside, it doesn't have to be kryptonite that made him vulnerable. Using red sunlight energy would have made him just as vulnerable.) 2) Using the John Williams theme was the correct decision. I agree with Nerdrotic that the Williams' theme is like the James Bond theme-it _is_ the de facto Superman theme. Using an electric guitar variant is the wrong choice because it sets up the wrong emotional tone. An orchestral version is the better choice, and here is why: an orchestra can convey power in loud bursts of wind (instruments) and percussion, but the sound is'softer' than a rockin' electric guitar and has a different and more appropriate emotional tone. Superman was never about edgy. He is about controlled power used responsibly, with a light heart and hope, not rebellious teen angst. 3) I didn't like the can hitting Kal's head because it came off 'wrong'. What should have happened was Kal not flinching or blinking when the can struck his head, and highlighting those things happening-in slow motion-breaks the verisimilitude. 4) The number of characters shown has me concerned that they will take over the Superman movie. 5) Having Krypto lick Kal's bloody face was a bit disturbing for me. 6) The scenes of Kall and Lois were good. Without dialogue or context, they conveyed a convincing romantic development.
Hey everyone! Check out my reaction to the Superman 2025 teaser trailer! 🚀 You know I always keep it honest and real, so let me know your thoughts in the comments below. It’s a well-established part of Superman’s story that he faces severe injuries, even meeting his demise at the hands of foes like Doomsday, as famously depicted in The Death of Superman. I say let's just wait and see the movie. ''Wakanda Forever'' trailers got me so hyped for the movie and after I so it I thought was a pile of hot garbage. Trailers are always deceiving in one way or another, that's why I take them with a grain of salt.
Absolutely, I agree. I genuinely believe they have the footage for a fantastic movie. My main issue is with how the teaser was edited. If a film like Wakanda Forever had such an impactful teaser, I'm confident these filmmakers could have crafted something truly transcendent for a new Superman. Hopefully, the official trailer will be an improvement. For me the motion poster for sup was more impacting.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion. The electric guitar is just an intro, a little homage to the original theme that's all. It's not like it's the whole soundtrack of the teaser 😂.Why so pissed about it? Anyway, I liked Henry as Superman, but I think David is gonna do a good job as well. Gunn is going more comic accurate than Snyder did. Snyder really did his own version of Superman, which I didn't mind. I think it's possible to like both. Cavill has my favorite Superman suit, but I don't mind this one either, it's comic accurate. Gunn is trying to bring the comics to the screen, he's created more buzz for DC in this short time than they've had before. I can appreciate both interpretations.
I've no strong feelings about it either way but a lot of people seem to be loving the electric guitar version of the song. Seemed very opposite of Man of Steel to me and much more hopeful and less bleak without ignoring modern conflicts completely. It is a post The Boys world now after all so they probably couldn't get away with something that was a complete throwback to the original Christopher Reeve movie and even that film had its more cynical moments..
Hey, thanks for the comment. But…err magnificent?…. Well, l’m happy for people who loved the teaser. After the motion poster, l certainly had very high expectations. There have been several iterations of the character, on the big screen, that have been arguably devoid of joy, apart from the legendary Christopher Reeve. It was important for me to see a teaser that captured two essential elements: aspiration and inspiration. Starting a new reboot teaser, with a bloodied and battered Superman left me feeling deflated. I fully understand Superman’s frailties in the comics and his battles with foes like Lobo, Maxima, and Brainiac. But l’m afraid a severely distressed superman, in the first vignette didn’t leave me in raptures, as illustrated from my reaction. 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you, Luna, for providing the ONLY honest reaction on this app, amidst all the weird hype and hyperbole. Your high expectations were completely justified-especially since, from your past videos, I know Superman is your favorite superhero. It’s clear you were hoping for an epic teaser trailer, which makes sense. Too many people on this app seem overly animated for no real reason, considering this trailer was just okay to med. In my opinion, other trailer have been far superior.
I hear you, I think and please don't cringe that maybe our reaction (cause my reaction echoed your "what the hell is this") was what he wanted with this teaser for us to say I have to see the full trailer cause this was garbage. I hope that by them not wanting to do an origin story they didn't just make some action trash and called it Superman; lastly just my opinion I feel they should have offered what ever money, damn begged if they had to and kept Henry Cavill in this role as Superman, I don't know about this new guy he's a soft looking Superman I'm just saying lol.
DC and all their Heroes are the Tomorrow !!! Best fictional universe , pardon ... Multiverse (the true Multiverse ! not the horrible MCU post Thanos and post Kang and post RD J 😄)
Now look I'm gonna be real here I found Tyler Hoechlin's Superman to be more compelling than Henry Cavill's. I don't hate Henry Cavill I just wasn't a fan of his Superman. I wasn't a big fan of the DCEU in fact I hated it but I loved Henry and Ben. They did the best they could with the awful material they were given. I'm excited for this I like what I saw and I can't wait to watch it.
I’m not a fan of the Snyderverse; I prefer a Superman who embodies aspiration. Yes, the shortcomings of Henry Cavill’s portrayal weren’t his fault-it was the writing and direction that left his version of the character devoid of joy. With this new film, I genuinely believe there’s enough material to deliver an epic trailer. This teaser didn’t quite move the needle for me as I hoped. Of course, that doesn’t reflect the movie’s ultimate quality.
@@Lunarhodesavengers I couldn't stand the Snyderverse I had a hard time staying awake watching those films. Not every DC hero needs to be dark and gritty like Batman. I'm glad DC is finally realizing that. It's gonna be nice seeing a joyful Superman in the movies again.
Why does everyone seem to think that if Superman bleeds? Ripton must be involved? That’s not the case I think people have seen Batman versus Superman too many times Batman could never hope even with a mechanical suit to match Superman. He needed the kryptonite to even the odds a little bit but as long as Superman is fighting someone on his level or more powerful and they do exist of course he can bleed. Superman fighting a human being is like a fully grown human man fighting a three-year-old. It doesn’t matter how many punches a three year-old lands. It’s not gonna phase the adult Superman once told Lex Luther that he felt like he lived in a world made of cardboard always having to be careful how we touch something or someone. Now it would stand to reason that another let’s say kryptonian fighting Clark and there would be bloodshed, broken noses, bruises, cut lips, and that’s what I don’t like about man of steel man of steel him and God going at each other. There should’ve been more damaged to both of them and there wasn’t and that was disappointing.
Superman Vol. 2 #75 - The Death of Superman. In this issue, Superman faces his ultimate battle against Doomsday. To clarify, Doomsday is not made from Kryptonite. Hope that helps 👍😊
It's crap .... suit's crap, Gunn's gonna F it up .. and Snyder should have done a JL 2 ... Krypto is the ONLY thing that was good about this trailer ... :P

I like that it starts off with a superman that is injured and bleeding cuz a complaint a lot of ppl that didn't read the superman comics have is that he's invoncible and you can hurt him physically
I loved the electric guitar.
I'm gonna give it a shot. I like who's playing Lex Luthor and I like the fact that we're finally getting to see Krypto in live action
@@Corey313 I got shivers bc it embraced the comic book craziness that comics can be (guy gardner’s bowl cut, a dog with a cape, etc.)
@angelkiller exactly 💯💯
Thanks for the comment. For me, it was simply a matter of re-editing the trailer. I wouldn’t have chosen to open with the injury scene. While I understand the intention to establish his power levels and demonstrate that Superman isn’t invulnerable to pain, it wasn’t the most engaging start from my perspective.
@@Lunarhodesavengers I was shocked by that opening I totally get that. But it leads to krypto and the symbolism of course.
Marco movie teaser 🫴😮💨 ❤
One thing that can’t be denied about you is your honesty, and I truly respect that. So many UA-camrs just go with the flow when it comes to trailers, but you stand out by staying true to your perspective be-it popular or not.
I love this 😀
I don't get how people don't expect how this film looks.
Just look at GOTG Vol3 and The Suicide Squad...
Wow! you're the only person reacting negatively... I guess it's not for you... I LOVED it!
9:09 in other words some of the things taking from Snyder MOS?
@@MrBlackBono
Yea, like he said he would because it's inspired by everything that came before
Great reaction. Just subscribed notifications bell on!!!
Awesome thank you! x
Hey Luna,
First off, hats off to you for being so candid about your thoughts on this teaser trailer-it’s always refreshing to hear an honest take!
For me, though, I’ll need a little more convincing to fully believe again after the magic of Christopher Reeve.
I think this will be good.
loool this meady ting is doing too much. Never that serious. Stop nitpicking. Enjoy it for what it is.
Gotta go back to the start
Beautiful natural beauty & a trailer of a good ass movie 😍🔥 double the magic
Yass!!!!!
However, as I mentioned in my reaction, starting with an injured Superman in the very first frame wasn’t the most compelling way to introduce him- well not to me. However, if you enjoyed the trailer that's cool too👍. Anyway folks, don’t forget to: Hit that LIKE button Subscribe to the channel here: www.youtube.com/@Lunarhodesavengers.
Abeg 😊Dude.. Merry Christmas 👍🎄
Yeah. I'm not sure what you watched. Maybe you over hyped yourself or something. That teaser was magnificent!
The most amusing part in comments "read the comic!!!!" Or "you don't know the character!!!!!!!" Dear me lol
It's gonna be nice seeing a joyful Superman in the movies again.
stop hating on noisy guitars

Its trash 😠👎👎
