😂😂😂😂 This is my favorite comment today! And, after all, isn't that how movies should make us feel?! If not, why the heck do we pay so much money to go see them?!
Krypto could have been wrong in 999 out of a 1000 times. But there is one setting that makes it imaginable: when the man directs it who made us cry for a raccoon and a tree.
Look at the scene where Clark and Lois are making out. Glasses are off but he’s still in the Clark clothes. Either he just told her or she knows when the movie starts! Good reaction folks and keep doing what you’re doing please.
Henry Caville was good but Christopher Reeve hit the bullseye, may he rest In peace. Lets hope that this one can capture some of the magic of the original.
Personally Tyler Hoechlin from Superman and Lois tv series is my favourite modern live action Superman as even though that show recently ended with its final season he still gave a phenomenal performance as both Superman and Clark and Im incredibly excited for this new Superman movie as David Corenswet (new Superman actor) looks amazing in the costume and has expressed how much he genuinely understands how much the character means in the world. Everything in this trailer was perfect; just seeing Krypto, that kid praying for Superman to help him, the beautiful bright colours and shots and this teaser's epic yet empowering theme gives me hope for DC and James Gunn's vision for the DCU. David Corenswet looks absolutely perfect in both Superman and Clark. I am especially excited for Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor since he looks very accurate to Lex from the comics, and you can see his burning hatred for Superman in his eyes. Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane also looks great, and she and David will surely have amazing chemistry together on screen. I also am hella excited for Guy Gardener's Green Lantern, Mr Terrific, Hawkgirl and Metamorpho's debut. Thank you, James Gunn!
Completely agree with you on the incredible casting for this movie - we hadn't been following it that closely, and were blown away by some of the A-list celebs recruited for it, not to mention the heroes and villains you called out! And really cool to see so many people vouching for Tyler's Superman from the TV show, he really did a fantastic job of fleshing out and giving soul and humanity to what could otherwise be a pretty bland character!!!
Oh yes, you're absolutely right! I don't think we've seen anything with him in that we didn't love, actually - probably my favorite (purely for its silliness) was his role in Renfield!
After watching the trailer, I can say David Corenswet. In that teaser of a trailer, he showed more emotions than all of Henry Cavill's Superman movies.
@@AniMangHwa_ unfortunately cavil doesn’t have this kind of range of acting. And if you’ve seen this actor in action, you’ll realize he was perfect for this role.
Routh is my favorite. Reeve was a little too good-looking, almost pretty. Cavill was too short and not American. The effects in the Reeve movies were not that great.
Have you seen the "Superman & Lois" show btw? Her and Superman in it are also really amazing in that one and the suit looks good too. They are probably among my favorite Superman and Lois live-action portrayal to this day. Sadly the show had to end cause of the introduction of this new Superman here.
Superman represents hope while Lex Luthor represents hate. It is time for Superman to have an epic comeback with his new feature film. We all need more memorable movies that can bring us joy, wonder and fortitude. We need an epic struggle between good versus evil which can bring us many surprises along the way. For future live action Superman films one film should introduce Metallo and Bizarro while another film could introduce Parasite, Atomic Skull and Livewire.
Ton Welling was awesome....and of course i grew up with a real Super/Man, Christopher Reeve as Supes....But i LOVED Brandon Routh in the role - but it also might be how a great villian helps make a great hero, and in this case Kevin Spacey as Lex
Ah, no apologies needed! Everyone has so much going on at this time of year!!! And funny that you mention Brandon, as I think he was such a polarizing Superman, more due to the tone of the movie than his performance! Personally, I loved him in that role too, but also loved him as Atom in Legends of Tomorrow!
There is no era where Superman doesn’t wear underwear on the outside lmao he was wearing it before we were born and he will be after we are born and others say the same thing. Morality is wild. Superman is forever.
For me it was always Christopher reeve as my favorite superman but then superman and lois came along and then the actor there Tyler became my favorite superman and now this looks like superman just from this trailer i love it im excited
It's awesome how many people are shouting out to Superman and Lois! I agree that Tyler really brought a lot of much-needed humanity and soul to Superman in that show, and hope we see more of the same in this new incarnation!!!
Yeah, it's hard to beat Reeve! Especially that first movie - some of the sequels were questionable, but the first movie will always be a classic (not to mention John Williams' theme for it!)
I never say this but any hate stuff is just pure hate and this is a true Superman. This is the closest thing to Chris Reeves your gonna get. An Nicolas holt will kill as Luther and being beast is the last thing I think of with him.
Christopher Reeve best Superman ever Cavill way way too dark Snyders fault Cavill terrible Clark Kent Superman is hope light goodness lets go this looks really really good My Daughter and I Loved this I cried when I saw Krypto 57 yrs Superman fan
For me it currently goes reeve, then welling, Tyler H was great in his first appearance in Supergirl but then they emo'd him up in his own show. Corenswet has the potential to take second place after Reeve. Henry Cavill stands outside the list, as he would be a great Superman, but he has never played the part. Zach Snyder has never written Superman, Poor Cavill was instead saddled with a whiny brooding Batmanlite.
You know, I think I'm on the same page as you! I had very little faith in Corenswet from the first images we saw, but this teaser has completely changed my opinion! I love Cavill in most of what he does, especially The Witcher, but like you I felt like he never had the opportunity to truly play Superman! Then again, I recently rewatched the director's cuts of both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, and found them better than I remembered (although, with the latter it was mostly because they crammed in way more Wonder Woman!!!)
To judge a costume at this point of a story is utter nonsense. Any prejudice is wrong (and therefore stupid) most times. In comicbooks, many heroes have to sew there first costume themselves (or even their moms do). At the begin of a hero´s life, how could they even have access to e.g. Lexcorp or Stark-Industries technology and thus to a high class costume? My guess (and I may be wrong) is, that this is a "pre-costume", so to say.
CHRIS REEVE'S VERSION IS MY SUPERMAN, NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED UNTIL CORENSWET'S! THIS IS GOING TO BE BIG! CAVILL'S NOT IN FOR ME, NOT TO EMOTIONAL, I HATE HIS COSTUME, AND HE'S NOT AS TALL AS REEVE AND CORENSWET WHO HAVE THE SAME HEIGHT BTW. PERFECT CASTING IN LUTHOR AND LOIS AS WELL! AMAZING COLOURS, COSTUMES AND MUSIC! LOVE THAT THEY GOT BACK TO 1978'S STYLE COSTUME. I LOVE BRANDON ROUTH MORE THAN CAVILL.
Trailer was Meh, 😒 can’t believe we lost our grounded real world superman MOS2 and Cavill for Gunn, his narcissistic personality, Parody Superman with his CGI Mut. If you didn’t like what we had with Cavill and MOS, Your opinion and you’re entitled to it mate. I personally loved what we got with MOS, BVS Ultimate edition and ZSJL but not everyone did that’s fine. I have no issues with a reboot but I refuse to support Gunn, his vile disgusting comments on kids turned my stomach and put me off him for life, haven’t supported him since not about to now. But hope you enjoy it 👍 I will wait till it’s free to
Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and we all have different tastes!!! Personally, despite being a huge fan of most of Cavill's work, I really couldn't get into MOS or BvS when I saw them in the theaters. But I did recently watch the director's cut of both movies and gained a new appreciation for them. But each to their own - I guess Superman is a many-faceted character and not everyone loves all of his angles!
The parody was CGI Cavill flying around like a gnat on cocaine. Kinda sad to seek views by spouting nasty comments, but, I guess you have to play to your strengths.
@@johncspine2787 Nasty comments, really I haven’t said anything nasty. James the Stain Gunn was the one who sent out multiple messages effectively mocking Child sex abuse. I hope you enjoy the movie and his vision and he gives you the DCU you want. But his previous comments on children; his dark twisted humour or not were and remain absolutely disgusting.
John Williams orginal score for Superman with Electric guitar awesome
I'm a grumpy, cynical 55 year old man. When Krypto appeared I made a funny squeaky noise and blurted out 'Look at his little cape!'. Not ashamed.
😂😂😂😂 This is my favorite comment today! And, after all, isn't that how movies should make us feel?! If not, why the heck do we pay so much money to go see them?!
I grew up with Christopher Reeve as my Superman. I'm inpressed with what James Gunn has done so far though.
It certainly does harken back to the original Reeve Superman in a big way, right?! Can't wait to see more!
Krypto could have been wrong in 999 out of a 1000 times. But there is one setting that makes it imaginable: when the man directs it who made us cry for a raccoon and a tree.
“Each man is a spark in the darkness. Would that we all burn as bright.” John Williams, take a bow.
Look at the scene where Clark and Lois are making out. Glasses are off but he’s still in the Clark clothes. Either he just told her or she knows when the movie starts! Good reaction folks and keep doing what you’re doing please.
Oooooh, good call out, we didn't notice that the first time around but you're absolutely right! And thanks for the kind words!
I loved Tom Wellings Superboy, always watched that back in the day! Gonna catch this one IMAX for sure.
This is real Superman ✅
Christopher Reeve was the embodiment of Superman to me, not only on the silver screen but also in real life.
Henry Caville was good but Christopher Reeve hit the bullseye, may he rest In peace. Lets hope that this one can capture some of the magic of the original.
Krypto is the perfect reflection of Superman, a man of steel’s BEST FRIEND!

NICHOLAS HOULT KILLED IT IN MAD MAX FURY ROAD AS NUX. HE IS A GREAT ACTOR.
Oh yes, you're absolutely right! I don't think we've seen anything with him in that we didn't love, actually - probably my favorite (purely for its silliness) was his role in Renfield!
Completely agree, Nicholas hoult is an incredible actor, he was great as beast/Hank McCoy in the X-Men films
Christopher Reeve will always be my favorite Superman. Then Brandon Routh because he looked so much like Reeve. This new guy looks promising.
After watching the trailer, I can say David Corenswet. In that teaser of a trailer, he showed more emotions than all of Henry Cavill's Superman movies.
That's a straight up dumb comment
Henry showed plenty of emotions
Its just that scripts were so bad that those emotions didn't hit as hard
Wow, bold prediction for the new movie! I guess we'll find out in July how Corenswet stacks up to Reeve and Cavill!
@@AniMangHwa_ unfortunately cavil doesn’t have this kind of range of acting. And if you’ve seen this actor in action, you’ll realize he was perfect for this role.
