That is a tough situation to have the AC down and then spider mites! Dang! The yellow bird! Congratulations 🎉 I don’t think your brassavola is a cucullata. The blooms are not elongated enough. Can’t say if it’s a species or a hybrid. I want to say Little Stars, but the blooms are larger than Little Stars are. Still, they must smell nice 😊 have a beautiful rest of your Saturday ❤❤
It tag did indicate that it was a species but I lost it and couldn’t remember what
Yellow Bird buds will always be purple because of the Richard Mueller parent. It does need a lot of light to make it bloom but even if you backed off on the light when you see the spike initiating, the buds will still be dark.

Brassavola nodosa. B. Cucullata should have small flower and long seudo bulbs.

Hi Julie, I think your Brasavola is either a Nodosa, Key Lime or most likely a Jiminy Cricket. It's definitely not a Cuculata.
