  • Here's a quick tutorial showing how I reframe, zoom, and cut video clips from my Insta360 X4 using the free Insta360 Studio software package. I'm using a Macbook Pro for the editing. I shot the video examples in 8K 24fps.

thanks for the Tut. returning my X3 to Costco, X4 is a Monster and X3 is the Pops, programs failed to work on my computer, and smartphone is not for me, I want to speed my process up, not slow it down, I'll stick to Action cameras, if I need to catch the other end I'll rig up a forward/reverse camera . Thanks for this, I got stuck as was trying to reframe only after a few shots as stick line keeps getting in the way, basically learnt click in your time line clip to bring yellow highlight then pres command then k and move to reframe and repeat every time need to reframe, bit of a learning curve 🥳🥳🥳 new subscriber 🥳🥳🥳

It's a shame that the Insta360 desktop app isn't as good as the mobile one. After reframing and exporting, you're unable, for instance in DaVinci Resolve, to move the 360 camera to select another view, correct? How can one edit 360 videos in DaVinci Resolve? Is it not possible, given that Adobe Premiere Pro supports .insv files but DaVinci does not?
