      The UK is even worse off, because of leaving the EU... there is too much identity politics on all sides. Pragmatism and realism should be at the forefront of solid politics. Without Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism the EU Co2 legislation has to end. Europe can't end climatechange on its own.

    Explain to me why aging demographics are no longer considered a market cycle? Getting old isn't a transformative magical phenomenon, it's linear and has been graphed with precision for centuries.

    Inflation is not result of supply constraints but of fiscal deficits that are permanently high. The money will permanently flow into the economy in an accelerated rate that will increase with time. This is STRUCTURAL, not gonna change. And you of course can imagine what it does to inflation to broaden money supply like that each year. So yeah while your conclusion is right - tougher monetary policy, the premise seems incorrect.

    You have ageing society that have all contributed in cash to their pensions. Who inflated that away the central banks the speculators ... To control inflation you have to stop Printing Currency and return to a sound money ... Currency backed by Gold .... Fractional reserve lending Is inflationary creating currency out of thin air.... Banks do this every minute of the day and night.
    Derivatives stifle price discovery and manipulate commodoty prices theres nor free market. All these big banks use their wealth to do so. Banks need to be controlled... not banks Controling governments .

    Being competitive in the European capital market weakening US dollar hegemony which US will not accept and certainly not Trump’s administration. The EU now has to pay the price, the only way for EU to survive is to have EU Germany should break free and so should France.

      a strong Europe has never been allowed, Britiain fought wars for centuries to prevent it. Same with ww1 and ww2 which broke Europe in the eastern bloc nations. Now with Ukraine a strong Europe is not possible because its cut off from cheap Russian energy.

      US is a net producer, it could just shutoff exports for a while and be fine. It would though be catastrophic for Europe. What it would though require regulators to step in (non-free markets) to interfere with where the gas goes, and Europe is lucky that hasn't happened. In the meantime with pipelines shut, LNG shipping will do wonderfully.

    • @flubby1982
      @flubby1982 3 дні тому +3

      @ I work in oil and gas. Huge amounts of Canadian oil are imported due to blend type. Mainly used in gasoline. And shipping LNG is horrid. We have very few LNG ports and the ships are super expensive. It takes huge amounts of energy to cold store/ship it and then equal parts to heat up for use. All roads lead to higher and higher inflation.
