  • Are you sick of having Window Casing Miters open up after you spent a bunch of time carefully measuring and cutting your pieces to the perfect length and angles? Nobody likes big ass cracks in open miters staring back at you after you spent all that time and money on materials. In this video, I explore how to get perfect miters on your window and door casing and baseboards so that in the end, you look like a pro. The biggest secret is to use a fast acting 2 part mitre glue (like 2 P 10 or Mitre Bond in this case ) to pre glue your corners together before nailing things in place with either an 18 gauge or 23 gauge Pin Nailer. I also touch base on what to do when your drywall isn't flush to your window or door jambs. After everything is in place, be sure to use a paintable caulk or white dap to close all the gaps. In the future, I'll be sure to do an in depth how-to caulk mouldings and trim video. This method is fairly straightforward and easy enough for almost any level of woodworker or do it yourselfer… almost
