Those 400s look good. I sat on the Scrambler at the NEC, not bad for 6ft 3 me. Price is good.
I saw them at the NEC too
Thanks, that's what I'm thinking of buying I'm 6"2
Very nice! I’d be interested in riding the Scrambler. That’s a great value for what you get.
Yeah me too!
I am really thinking about buying Scrambler 400x as my everyday ride.
I recently got my license for A motorcycles and i am thinking that 400x should be my first one to start with, as 30yo guy 6'4 tall.
I was just curious about would it fit me, cause i have long legs as well, but i will probably go for a test ride very soon.
Thanks for the video, i appreciate it!
@AbdicHaris they do look like great little bikes, I've not had a chance to ride one yet though. Do also check the RE Guerrilla as well
Its nice to see Triumph taking the A2 market seriously with these 400's.
The Scrambler definitely looks like a solid big bike, wouldn't think it's a 400 looking at it.
Nice video mate, hope you're well.
Thanks mate, all good here 👍🏻
I am 6ft 1, would you suggest the speed 400 for a rider of my hieght ?
Edit: I did not realise you were 6 feet 6 ! Seeing you sat on it makes me feel reasured, so thank you !
Yeah I think it will be absolutely fine. I've got stupid long legs too
@tomstc many thanks. I'm on CRF 300L Rally, the newer model to what you currently ride in the video. Considering a second bike as I simply can't part with my Honda!
@jamesnoonan7450 nice one, I sold the CRF now but great bikes
I am looking forward to these bikes arriving in the states. I am ready to Scramble and deliver some bacon
Mmmmmmmm bacon by scrambler
I’ve been really excited about these since picking up a copy of MCN in June when I was back visiting family in June , I was leaning towards the Speed but now it’s the scrambler X and the green tank looks great in the photos etc . I had my mates check them out at the NEC show for me . Not sure the exact date they’ll come to Quebec but Im thinking I’ll probably have to reserve the scrambler before I see it in the flesh . Now in my 60’s I still want a bike I’m able to move around and have fun riding on . Look forward to a test ride impression from you .
Thanks so much for the comment, will do my best to get out on one
Why did you choose the scrambler?
@@thetravelleaf I picked the Scrambler over the Speed on the stance and look and thought a bit more suspension travel would help on our lovely roads very like some of the roads in Herts and Bucks UK . But over another bike from a different company , I think Triumph nailed it with one of the best modern retros out there at a very affordable price . I actually picked mine up last Friday after ordering it at the end of December . Time I got home after a 100km ride on a lot of busy highway long weekend traffic including the last leg on my normal 36km commute of 2 very large hills and lots of corners I was starting to get use to the bike 🙂 . I’m looking forward to getting past the 1K when I can rev it out a bit more without the rev counter having a fit . You get into top gear very quickly and it just chugs along , lots of torque . And it is a lovely looking bike .
@@robinbowler2955 thanks for the in-depth response. It's my first bike and I'm undecided between this, Husqvana sviltpilen or royal Enfield new Himalayan. I'm planning to look at RE and Triumph when they arrive the next few weeks but the triumph is the best looking one. Do you know what the top speed will be?
I’d say imperial between 90-100 depending if you have a tail wind and get your head as low as it goes , my Speedo is in Km’s and is reading at least 4 over , there’s a lot of speed indicator’s around here . I’ve had lots of Japanese bikes over the years and one that caught my eye was the Honda XR150L would make a good first bike . A friend in the UK is waiting for the Royal Enfield to add to 2:03 his collection , better off road than the Triumph . The Husky would have a bit more pep ( KTM motor ) styling is just not my cup of tea . I’ve been riding 48 years now and still get a kick when going for a spin enjoy your bike whatever you decide to get . 👍
Be interesting what the motorcycle press think of them quite fancy downsizing from my 1200 gs
I am hoping I will get a cheeky ride
Waiting for delivery online 400 x put a deposit down in August
Nice, the Scrambler would be my choice I think
Just bought a Speed 400 in Caspian Blue for springtime delivery here in Ottawa, Canada. I envy you guys with your nearly 12-month riding season!
I don't know about that most of the summer is raining
Did your dealer in Ottawa give you an exact date because my closest one here in Quebec was a bit vague on delivery dates , some time in the summer I’m less than 2 hours to Ottawa so might consider there instead.
@@robinbowler2955 I'm based in Somerset UK
The dealer said around January
Very well made video. I'm going to pop to Triumph Taunton when the weather gets better. I'm very tempted with the 400 but I don't think I can live with that and the himalayan. I'll need something with at least 60bhp as well
Thanks mate, do feel like a wally filming in places like this though!
Let me know when you do!!!
@tomstc will do. I hate filming in public unless the camera is on my chin
Speed 400 is $4,500US in Thailand.
That's a huge saving!!!
