The Bug type is fantastic, I will say if i was a gym leader I'd be a Normal type leader - I'm obsessed with them - but the Bug type gets such respect from me. While many of my favourite bugs are not my favourite from a girlypop perspective (see scizor, centiskorch and scolipede) my *actual* favourite bug type truly is, and seeing you give Vivillon the respect she deserves and paying attention to every different colour variation is beautiful and absolutely the way you should have done that. "The Bug Type is always going to give a different serve, the purpose of the bug type in the Pokédex is to go so irreverent, so left field that it keeps you guessing." - Yes. So much yes. I adore this quote. Mega evolution is such a great feature, I do feel like it stands above dynamax and firmly above terastallizing, but you speak the truth when you say that the mega bug types were just done wrong. There were a thousand ways to go and while I like mega evolution it did not serve with bug types in the way it could have. Gigantamax Butterfree is a good example of how it could have been, you are of course right to call it mother, and gigantamax centiskorch - while you're right to say its not girlypop - is a fantastically executed concept. You are 100% correct when you say gen III is an iconic girlypop gen as I have come to understand it through your videos. Hearing you talk about the surskit line and the evolution is beautiful and I, of course, agree to the motherdom of the line and how within the context of bug type they stand out so much more than they do in their other types. Shedninja is fantastic and gives a lot of similar energy to komala for me as a sleepyhead girly, but while komala is a stand alone without evolution the fact that shedninja has nincada and ninjask it truly has the energy of a step UP, if you get what I mean? Girlypop of course, but I can't help but feel like it is that distinction from its companions that cements it as Mother. The burmy line is absolutely a weird girl. Love her and I absolutely agree that the pink one can stand in girlypop - as does mothim but I wish they had kept colour variants for the final evo. Vespiquen is primed for a mega! I hadn't quite clocked that before but you are absolutely right and I bow before you for it. I truly hope that in the next legends game they give her the mega and they do right by the bug type with it this time (and I will agree that she coasts by on the name and gown but i say this under by breath less the girlysassins come after me). Skorupi losing the bug type when she evolves is truly a disappointment to the type despite the whimsy vibes it manages in defiance to the spikey nature. Leavanny is mother. Of course she is. Look at her. What's more, is that I feel like she can mother in so many way. There's artsy fashionistas in there, make up to clothes to modelling, perfect. YET the way she mothers that speaks to me most is the swadloon to leavanny transfemme energy. Its iconic energy and energy that a younger me coveted so badly but felt like I wasn't worthy to touch. She is on such a pedestal, but one you know she did not build for herself, she is 100% out here making custom fits for her fellow girls that don't have the fashion industries ideal body type and I LOVE that for her so much. (On the note of wanting to do girlypop gym leader / battle facility leaders / elite four / champions, you might have done that already now - not sure I just got here - but that would be fantastic. Can I also suggest/request a ranking of the trainers that you can partner up with in the games? Like Cheryl and Riley in Sinnoh for example, because both are girlipop in my opinion, but Riley and his lucario feel almost like you have to compete with for the spotlight whereas our unproblematic queen Cheryl and her Chansey feel like they combine their girlypop with yours, heightening it even - which feels so Mother to me) I respect you so much for respecting the karrablast-shelmet-escaviller-accelgor quartet with proper thought. Impeccable. Joltik is girlypop as a matter of fact. I appreciate that you don't let your arachnophobia lower galvantula to skip. You are right that Volcarona is not just mother, but a beacon who will absolutely get the girlysassins after you if you shamed. Not to go back to Vivillon, my favourite, but I can't help but feel like she and Frosmoth are the heirs to the Butterfree legacy. Beautifly tried to be it, but just didn't differ enough and got overshadowed. Both Vivi and Frosmoth though, they still have that body type with the big wings and minimal arms and legs, their silhouettes are a homage to Butterfree's success in my mind, but they step out of the shadows of her wingspan due to the spin they have. Ribombee feels like the perfect hybrid of Leavanny and Butterfree to me, she's beautiful and she mothers hard, but with enough distinction from *her* mothers that your immediate declaration of Mother upon reaching her is so unbelievably valid. She was my main in SwSh - though she didn't make my all time team and I feel the need to apologise to her for that. The Bug Type, as I said before, doesn't have the same place in my heart that the Normal Type does. That being said it has so many Pokémon that I do care about a lot - girlypops or otherwise. I love the respect you've shown for them and how you acknowledged the quality of the bug mons that don't do well within this category becuase I just feel like it would be so easy to dismiss them out of hand but you don't, and that, honestly, is rather Mother of you. ~ Georgia Acheron Cinccino, Banette, Wigglytuff, Vivillon, Carracosta, Noivern. I've always felt like the odd one out when playing pokemon, and watching pokemon youtubers, there was always a small disconnect for me. I think steel might be interesting type two cover, like there’s not that many glaringly girlypop mons, but steel types are pretty flexible and you can talk a lot about what complements them and how they could work in a -pop team Also bisharp mother

Mega evolution is such a great feature, I do feel like it stands above dynamax and firmly above terastallizing, but you speak the truth when you say that the mega bug types were just done wrong. There were a thousand ways to go and while I like mega evolution it did not serve with bug types in the way it could have. Gigantamax Butterfree is a good example of how it could have been, you are of course right to call it mother, and gigantamax centiskorch - while you're right to say its not girlypop - is a fantastically executed concept.
You are 100% correct when you say gen III is an iconic girlypop gen as I have come to understand it through your videos.
Hearing you talk about the surskit line and the evolution is beautiful and I, of course, agree to the motherdom of the line and how within the context of bug type they stand out so much more than they do in their other types.
Shedninja is fantastic and gives a lot of similar energy to komala for me as a sleepyhead girly, but while komala is a stand alone without evolution the fact that shedninja has nincada and ninjask it truly has the energy of a step UP, if you get what I mean? Girlypop of course, but I can't help but feel like it is that distinction from its companions that cements it as Mother.
The burmy line is absolutely a weird girl. Love her and I absolutely agree that the pink one can stand in girlypop - as does mothim but I wish they had kept colour variants for the final evo.
Vespiquen is primed for a mega! I hadn't quite clocked that before but you are absolutely right and I bow before you for it. I truly hope that in the next legends game they give her the mega and they do right by the bug type with it this time (and I will agree that she coasts by on the name and gown but i say this under by breath less the girlysassins come after me).
Skorupi losing the bug type when she evolves is truly a disappointment to the type despite the whimsy vibes it manages in defiance to the spikey nature.
Leavanny is mother. Of course she is. Look at her. What's more, is that I feel like she can mother in so many way. There's artsy fashionistas in there, make up to clothes to modelling, perfect. YET the way she mothers that speaks to me most is the swadloon to leavanny transfemme energy. Its iconic energy and energy that a younger me coveted so badly but felt like I wasn't worthy to touch. She is on such a pedestal, but one you know she did not build for herself, she is 100% out here making custom fits for her fellow girls that don't have the fashion industries ideal body type and I LOVE that for her so much.
(On the note of wanting to do girlypop gym leader / battle facility leaders / elite four / champions, you might have done that already now - not sure I just got here - but that would be fantastic. Can I also suggest/request a ranking of the trainers that you can partner up with in the games? Like Cheryl and Riley in Sinnoh for example, because both are girlipop in my opinion, but Riley and his lucario feel almost like you have to compete with for the spotlight whereas our unproblematic queen Cheryl and her Chansey feel like they combine their girlypop with yours, heightening it even - which feels so Mother to me)

You are right that Volcarona is not just mother, but a beacon who will absolutely get the girlysassins after you if you shamed.
Not to go back to Vivillon, my favourite, but I can't help but feel like she and Frosmoth are the heirs to the Butterfree legacy. Beautifly tried to be it, but just didn't differ enough and got overshadowed. Both Vivi and Frosmoth though, they still have that body type with the big wings and minimal arms and legs, their silhouettes are a homage to Butterfree's success in my mind, but they step out of the shadows of her wingspan due to the spin they have.
Ribombee feels like the perfect hybrid of Leavanny and Butterfree to me, she's beautiful and she mothers hard, but with enough distinction from *her* mothers that your immediate declaration of Mother upon reaching her is so unbelievably valid. She was my main in SwSh - though she didn't make my all time team and I feel the need to apologise to her for that.
The Bug Type, as I said before, doesn't have the same place in my heart that the Normal Type does. That being said it has so many Pokémon that I do care about a lot - girlypops or otherwise. I love the respect you've shown for them and how you acknowledged the quality of the bug mons that don't do well within this category becuase I just feel like it would be so easy to dismiss them out of hand but you don't, and that, honestly, is rather Mother of you.

I've always felt like the odd one out when playing pokemon, and watching pokemon youtubers, there was always a small disconnect for me. I've always liked to focus on the cute pokemon and the ones I thought were overlooked by the pokemon community. But now I found out that there's a community of people who share the same thoughts as me. So I just want to thank you for introducing me to a different side of the pokemon fandom that I never knew. I'll watch the rest of your videos, even if it's games I've never heard of, because you're so captivating!
As for type recommendations, i'm really interested in what you have to say about the fighting type! I feel like that one will truly branch off into a different realm than what we've seen so far.

I think steel might be interesting type two cover, like there’s not that many glaringly girlypop mons, but steel types are pretty flexible and you can talk a lot about what complements them and how they could work in a -pop team
