Can we at least take a moment to recognise Kosem's contributions and great foresight in ensuring the continuity of the empire. Plus fate can never be overturned; whose to say without KOSEM in the picture, the Empire still wouldn't fall to RUINS. Come on People, Please 🙏 🤦
Well thats true and not so true at the same time, over the centuries the Ottomans had build a extremely strong administrative and bureaucratic system that allowed them to delegate power effectively and control regions. Plus, they had a very solid military control. But you are right, when Murad was a child, a central figure was needed to control all of that, but Kosem should’ve known that her place was not there and eventually she will have to move on, she was wrong in fighting against Murad for power
They were both right not to have her. She, because she thought she would forever rule men. He, because he desperately wanted to escape his domineering mother. Except that in that world, women could rule from behind a man's back. Strong women were terrifying. The world lies at the mother's feet, right?
Even, I believe the Ottoman fall-off started the moment the women started to interfere in state affairs. And it started from here. Under the influence of Hurrem Sulemian destroyed the Ottoman dynasty by favouring her son to be the sultan despite who was the best among them to rule.
The problem with the ottoman empire is that the succession wasn't going based on merit. Or at least seniority of the offspring. The one who ended up taking the throne was the one who was better at plotting and killing his brothers before he ended up being preyed upon
@@princess7jasminethe facts of the matter was these women were not tarined for politics or administration or ruling. Its true that these women played a monumental role in the decline kf the Empire. However, the empire had a strong system and still the empire lasted over 600 years, which is remarkable, but every empire has its end anyways.
@Zeech983 There's absolutely no proof that any of these women played a monumental role in the decline of the empire. What IS true, however, is that their SONS and HUSBANDS, aka MEN, played that role. And the fact that the empire lated centuries after the sultanate of women shows they didn't ruin anything at all. As a matter of fact, the Ottoman Empire may have ended even sooner if it weren't for women like Nurbanu holding everything together for their husband.
@@ΔημΣΚ uh, no, they do that for like when the Sultan, the male character who should actually rule the empire, is too young to understand anything so that's why Kosem took regency while Murad was young and Murad just didn't wanted to have her on his back when he already knows what he's doing (that's when he's older and more wiser)

Kösem Valide Sultan's Regency over🇹🇷!
Dinastia Otomană a fost una dintre cele mai solide si longevive dinastii din istorie si asta se datorează si sultanelor care au consolidat Dinastia.
The Ottoman Dynasty fared a lot better when the Sultanate Of Women inspired.
