Probably The Most Beautiful Woman In Pop Music..She Was A Real Stunner. She Definitely Had The Look & The Voice..Blonde Were Absolutely Fab!
thank u .person with taste!!!!
hold on now thats a realy big claim but damn close
Hardly
with Kim Wilde
old live recordings like this are pure gold dust, I love them so much.
Thank you! You are 1 in a million.

... pure 💎 brilliant ...
Beautiful has a new dimension
The "sister" is the better
I was there.... Two weeks before my 18th birthday.
I wish I was there. But I was only 8, turning 9 in 3 weeks. I've always loved "Heart of Glass".
You lucky sod x
Dang
The reason this version is so great is that it combines her dispassionate delivery, in punk style, with a hard driving backup. The contrast is tremendous. There isn't much music like this today.
Back then we called it "New Wave"!
That is the best description I have heard and why this song is so magical, and why Debbie Harry herself is so magical. She's an amazing woman.
You hit the nail on the head...
Agreed
Your overthinking
I had such a crush on her when I was young. Later in life I realized, what a great band.
Me too pal
LOLO me too!
I was there age18. Still one of the best gigs I've been to.
Great songs, great performance.
Long stretch...but do you have any photos of that night mate? I'd be willing to do a deal...
Great stuff! You were in the right place at the right time.
I was there too!
@@alexherbert9404 Paul and James Robson who i was with have scores if not 100s of photos from that night. I kept a couple.
@@petertelford5338 wow......if you're selling I'd be interested.
What a beautiful creature 😍
I concur I'm 62 and she was my first crush. I pursued women who looked like her years. They made the best debut album ever Parallel Lines every song was a monster. She and band wrote great song.
Perhaps the best female entertainer of our generation.Debbie Harry was a hard worker, many people don't realize blondie was a kick ass band.
I do :-D They seriously rocked. She also had an ace band behind her. ACE.
And still are today ..
I had the privilege of seeing Blondie last night for the 6th time, been a lifelong fan for decades, and they seriously fuckin killed it. As lots have said, she looked amazing still, & they all sounded sublime. Timeless classic music, with all the new tracks included made it a night to seriously remember. Thanks for posting this video, seriously! My hometown b slaying it Glasgow!.x
@@johntx7368 ::'
Now THAT is laughable!!!
Man, I had a ginormous crush on her as a teenager in the late 70's and early 80's. Terrific band too.
My teenage heartthrob. I'm 61 and collected all their records from around the world [and still have them].
Great singer, great drummer @Clem Burke and great group!
I don't know if you've ever been to Glasgow but there was probably 73 people at this concert. I mean, its not their fault, Glasgow is quite beautiful, but I its absolutely devoid of human population,,, I certainly hope they fired their tour manager...
@@cmortenson3647 what on earth would the tour manager have to do with the attendance at a venue?
Ja też uważam że jest zespół ponad czasowy 🚴👍🚴
"86b or "87 watching Straus Quo on TOTOP, my mate shouts out "Isn't that Clem Burke?" Maybe not the greatest drummer of all-time, but certainly the most underrated.
I was nine years old and I remember seeing this on one of the networks that night. I went to bed with this song stuck in my head. It was the first time I heard it and i knew I had to get to the record store soon and get that song!
I could accurately guess your current age based on the information you just shared, but I won't.
She's facinated me since the late 1970's. Seriously, I'm 57 years old and at least 3 of my old girlfriends looked just like her.
Lucky guy!
King
They must have not been "keepers"!
Should have gone to Specsavers ✌️✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yes, your inflatable dolls... Sorry man, obliged joke about your statements.
La música que compone. Las notas es muy emosionante siempre sigue siendo exitos...!!!❤❤😂
Lovable Blondie! What a voice and charisma ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻
I never did see Blondie and personal or a concert but she sure can sing❤❤
shes ahead of time
She's so cool and the band is so passionate
Oooh oah.
You look cool too? 😍
One of my favorite songs of all time. The fun fact that the drum track had to be recorded individually because the rhythm was such a new thing he couldn't get it down in one take. And then to see them play it live without midi click tracks....amazing!!
Remember this like it was yesterday!
She really did have a great voice
But unfortunately nowadays 👎👎👎
@@gmantramp404 every one gets old unfortunately
@@deppurple700 of course but it's knowing when to stop 👍
@@gmantramp404 you right but it must be hard for professionals like that I don't know I'm ready to retire right now if I could lol
The old Glasgow Apollo in the 70's. Bowie and Ronson together, Queen supporting Mott The Hoople and this amongst many more. Some of the best nights of my life.
tons of great bands and solo acts galore performed there. Reminds me of the Mid Night Special. love this
i envy you
Jorge Butron Galindo : great in that I saw great gigs but downside is that anyone who saw Queen as a support band is now quite old 😀
I feel david bowie wood dress like this if he was alive today.
@@DavidTransformer that I consider is the bright side of being a baby boomer, we`r old, but these memories only a few enjoyed
The Glasgow Apollo was amazing. Happy days !
My first love when I was about 8 lol 😂 still in love with her at 76/77 years old, she’s incredible
Join the club x
Um, that math doesn't add up, not even close. I was 5 when she hit, I'm now 51.
@@waltermann-j5t I mean that she’s 76/77 years old, I’m now 52 lol
What an entertainer she was.Looks and talent.
best way ever to bring in the 80,s !!!!!!!!!!!!
I taped this after watching it on TV.. played drums along to the whole gig for what seemed like the next two years!
Love it!!!
that’s awesome!
Fantastic document, this recording. I was too young, can only wish I'd experienced it. Thank you for sharing.
I saw them in newcastle on this Tour. Row 2 in the middle. Amazing
Glasgow Appollo best venue ever for any band atmosphere was always amazing
Wow this is awesome. Deb sounds really good here. Always loved this song takes me back to my freshman yr in H.S.
She was the "it" star of the 70's, the sound, the voice, the clothes, the look, those lips and eyes, the hair...everything, and i dont think there was s teenage boy that didn't have a major crush on her! Miss Harry is still in the house...40 years later!
@x24r
Hardly old and hard!
@x24r she was 35 when you was 19.But myself and many other boys the same age 13-16 at that time didn't care/We still had a crush on her.
You mean the 80's. The it star of the 70's was Stevie Nicks or Farrah Fawcett: I know...I was there.
@@bobdoubter2977
That is true, I stand corrected. Yes i too was in love with Farrah, but musically Deb just came from the underground clubs and straight to #1 on the music charts.
What a babe! 😍 born 1976 here, so I would've only been 3 at the time lol BUT! Being as my family is musical at that time and still is in 2022, I heard this song many times growing up in the 70s and 80s... and her voice always took me to a safe place where I could hide, dream and wonder. and yes, in them dreams, I did dance with her. What a time man 🤩 blondie, and princess lady Diana.
What a time to be born!
Not as old as the other comments here, but I tell ya what....
They more beautiful-lady like back then 😛😍 than they are right now....!!! Farrksakes! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮
🙄🙄🙄
Blondie was a big hit with Australians in late 1970s and 1980s. I remember the band too. If a singer or band appeared on a pop show Countdown then it put a stamp for them as a success.
I saw Blondie in Edinburgh 02/03 when I was around 18. Debbie and the boys defo still had it. Debbie Harry had every man in the room in the palm of her hand. Great night. One of my favourite gigs.
Its tough getting old, I mean that both for the fans and the artistes!
Best Performer,wonderful voice & music .
i had the biggest crush on debra harry back then blondie was hotttttttttt, plus her new style "punk" rock was killing it at all the concerts thank you debra always love you "MO"
Who didn't have a crush on Debra Harry?
She was one of a kind and I always loved the music
Inesquecivel!
Sempre traz saudade de um tempo que não volta mais. 😍
Thank you Debbie and Blondie for this performance in Scotland...pls come back!!!
Refreshingly beautiful, effortlessly vivacious and the epitome of cool. As well being one of the finest female singers of all all time ... Un(fcukin')believable!!
Great music. Thanks.
Iconic musician, iconic music & iconic days
I remember smoking hash out my bedroom window while this played on the radio back in 79. The synthesizer ending seemed like it went on for an hour. Pretty cool song when your high. lol
Still is !
Half half in '79.
La tecnología de ea época mostraba a los verdaderos talentos !!!!
O I've been a big fan of blonde from the 70s
And still will to my last day
The Greatest Blonde that ever Rocked
I grew up in this era and just seeing the Miley Cyrus cover made me check this out again, then dig out my old Blondie albums, listening to Eat to the Beat, wonderful 😍
She's been great ever since, too. Listen to "Maria," for example.
"
@@carlhorowitz5916 some of her solo stuff was brilliant too, Brite Side is one of my favourite songs, beautiful
Cool! Miley brought me here too!!!! Our only difference is that I never heard of Blondie, because I wasnt even born hahahaha. Thanks to Miley I found this gem
@@katesn9052 if you check out some of Blondie's videos you'll see why they were so popular and why Debbie was such an icon
I wish I would have born at those times 😭
me too 💔
Luis Eduardo Corrales Mendoza x2
as a keyboard player, I can tell you that the early 80s was an exciting time for musicians, as synth pop such as that ruled, and took over from late 70s disco, and there were constantly newer and more advanced keyboards, and the bold concept of synthesizers using arpeggiators and sequencers in live performance became a new frontier.
Luis Eduardo Corrales Mendoza it was fun.
I was there and you missed a party.
She blew my mind at My Father's Place, Roslyn, NY, before the band broke. It was incredible
sounds and looks as good today as ever. keep going debbie.
Thats one award winning micro short miniskirt
Love her walk.............................................too !!!
❤️ heart of glass in my mind Debbie Harry and Blondie make sure they were no one there was no difficulty with the supreme Hit my goodness you're so sweet Lovett
Loved her voice!
I can reveal that she was an actress in some detective stories in the early 80's even then she looked worn out. I have seen her in 2019 in documentaries made the same year and she does not look much older than she did 1983 Good job
THis a classic and the singer is a classic too !
Very classy lady :)
Many years ago I bought a Blondie CD, my daughter pinched it. Debbie Harry, Elkie Brooks, my favorite artistes.
The Apollo Glasgow thee best concert venue ever many a great night there
I have to agree with you Joseph, I was at the Apollo for this concert on Hogmany 1979. I saw Queen there 3 times - in '75 (aged 14!), '77, '79 and Freddie's final concert at Knebworth Park in '86.
I was in 9th grade when this came out. I didn't see the show, but I remember seeing posters that had her stripey clothes. It's a great song to have stuck in your head whenever.
In ancient times, she would have caused wars. Hot, talented and smart, what a combo. I was preteen when this concert was on.
So poetically correct
Still remember, when I first heard this tune, I was boarding the bus, when in College, the bus driver, had this on...
Love u my dear BLONDE FOR EVER & EVER
That was my first concert, teenage crush
Special memories
Beautiful ❤️
My band practised there on a Sunday when no band was playing also met Clapton there as a VIP guest

Sin duda alguna la década de los 70s fue la mejor época de la música
watching this and listening to it are two distinctly different experiences!
Take to best looking woman in the world, give her a voice like and angel, an intelligent's of a scientist with lots of humility.
Now surround her with some of the finest musicians of the day.
That was Blonde.
It could only happen once.
Fantastic performance.
The thing that strikes me forty years later is that she was just so effortlessly desirable👍.
Blonde was the hottest thing to come out of the late 70s those where the best of times for music Bondie has outlasted a bunch of bands from that era
Love Blondie. Had their poster on the wall in 80-s
She has always made me smile.
definitely one of the best live performances of all time. who agrees
You can find this comment on almost any live performance.
While this is a great song and a fine performance it's not anywhere close to one of the greatest live performances of all time
Umas das melhores músicas mais tocadas nos quatro cantos do mundo Forever às canções lindas e essa estar eternizada.!!!!!
One of my idols !!
79 what a year blondie @ the apollo and Diego gets his first goal for Argentina in Glasgow.
I worked at a venue in the UK in 1979. It was new and much bigger than any surrounding venues, we had The Jam, Kate Bush, Black Sabbath you name it, so when Blondie announced they were adding the town to their tour we were all convinced it would be with us and obviously mega excited. Turned out they had played a tiny venue across town starting out and deduced to play it instead out of loyalty. Admired the philosophy but how gutted were we?!
It wasn't about you, genius.
I'd seen ABBA live at this venue the month before this. Loved ABBA and Blondie when I was a child.
Best disco song ever
Absolutely
It´s an excellent song of 1970's.
She is the best vaccine in this crazy pandemic. Thanks Debbie > Ela é a melhor vacina nesta pandemia maluca. Obrigado Debbie.
Brilliant.
this gorgeous girl hypnotizing me again
It was a special night when Blondie would dance across the screen on MTV!
Very talented and underrated songwriter and singer
Underrated by who?
@@howie9751 a lot of people. most don't know that she sings "heart of glass"... :/
@@toxicstarbot6701 What now? This was Blondie's biggest hit, and Debbie and Blondie are eponymous. Debbie is one of the highest-rated singers of the 80s, she was a huge star, and great into her seventies.
my first ever record...fascinating woman!
Love the lead guitar on this version.
I caught this on the King Biscuit Flower Hour in 1979 on Armed Forces Radio in Spain at Torrejoh AFB whenI was 12 years old, it was incredible then and still is today!
Дебби невероятно красива!!! Я ей восхищён и по сей день. Она прелесть!! И это была настоящая музыка и настоящая история!!!

I retain cherished memories of seeing Blondie live in 1978. The opening act Rockpile--almost stole the show. Blondie fan for life.
Great!!!
