Yeah man. As a CCA you do accumulate Annual leave(vacation time) compared to RCA you don’t. You don’t get sick leave for either also. But I do also know the RCA contact should be getting updated soon too. As for benefits I’ve only had them as a cca they been good thus far. When I went to have my fingerprints taken, I saw an AD on the hall wall for USPS of my town but only RCA for me. So I applied the RCA in my town. PTF and UAR are two completely different things. As a PTF you still are at the mercy of the hours available within the office. They are no different hour wise as a CCA. It is just a career position other then a non career. A URA is guaranteed 40 hours a week just not assigned to a specific route.
CCA makes more money than any RCA due to the overtime per day. Both positions you will be working a lot and going back out to cover down routes on a daily basis. You make PTF then career way faster in CCA vs RCA. Less earned benefits in RCA vs CCA. I know of several stations with CCA that use Vans unlike RCA which is almost exclusively LLV. Career City vs Career Rural is a toss up. You have evaluated time for Rural but its basically salary pay. Yeah you can finish your route in less time, but No extra money unless overtime is approved and you actually want that. City carriers still get overtime pay. @@Mr.HighVibration you will they are doing a lot of hiring because the holidays are coming did you apply for an RCA? Id imagine in Sanford definitely an RCA

But I was the only cca for 7-8 months. As a CCA/RCA it’s either feast or famine man you either have too much hours or not enough depends on your station
@@adventuresofadan5037 Why is it taking so long for my orientation? Should i be concerned? I accepted the CCA job 2 months ago but i still keep seeing "IN PROGRESS".
So that is basically saying you are not placing into things like your 401k you don’t accumulate sick leave or annual leave man. These are small examples man once you are career you start to accumulate these things, that is once you either become a ptf or get your own route
So I’m about to take a rca position how exactly does it pay bro like I know it’s whatever the routes estimate time But like does that also include casing the mail and then also how much is the gas & car maintenance.
Yeah man so it’s 19.06 starting pay then times that by how much the route is evaluated at. For example 19.06 x 9 hours that’s also including casing the mail and that will be your pay. Also I think the RCAs are getting a new contract soon. As for using your POV all that you put into it you can use as a tax write off from gas to maintenance. So your paying for everything you put into your car. But if you use a LLV you don’t have to worry about any of that. Also keep in mind when you finish your route they may have you do pieces of other routes but I can’t remember if you go straight to hourly time after that. But I would ask in the academy about that man. Hope this helps bro

Usps union is complicit with Usps management, practicing patterns of racism, retaliation against whistleblowers, also discrimination and retaliation against injured on duty disabled employees! How did you go from RCA to CCA? quit and reapply, or is a transfer possible?
I had placed like 5 apps in but I did need to quit the RCA position they wouldn’t let me transfer over to cca. The post master called me for cca position & was wondering if I was going to hit accept on the cca position.
In CA rural carriers make more than cca
Do CCA’s carry mostly mail and RCA’s more packages?
Yes
I enjoy working as a CCA but hate working every 7 days weeks and never getting weekends off. Are these about the usual hours for a CCA or is my office just screwing me?
Has it gotten better
@@joenuke100 no it didn't I quit, unless your ok working as a slave for usps stay away from them. There's a reason they're always hiring.
Here in NC CCA makes $18.56 and the RCA make $19.06 but why do CCA get uniforms and benefits but RCA don't? Is RCA only a temporary position and CCA is permanent??? All I had in my area was RCA positions so I accepted that job and I took fingerprints for it on April 19th and today is May 10th I haven't heard anything back from them yet do you know how far the background checks go and how long the process takes until I get my orientation? Thank you
any update?
@@Mr.HighVibration it took awhile, but I got in
@@caylee3277 im in NC too. What part of NC you in? I just applied today for sandford..im prior military. I was hoping to get in within next month 😅😅😅
@@Mr.HighVibration your right around the corner I'm in Apex 💯
@@Mr.HighVibration you will they are doing a lot of hiring because the holidays are coming did you apply for an RCA? Id imagine in Sanford definitely an RCA
What about the ARC?
I don’t know too much info on that position. I think it’s one day a week right
@@adventuresofadan5037 yeah I heard they have to work Sunday and the other days are optional.
How many hours a week do you start off with as an RCA and how many hours a week do you start off with as an CCA?
I remember as an RCA I was only guaranteed 1 day a week but I worked all the time man because so many call outs. As a CCA it depends too man but I worked 60+ a week for my first year. But I was the only cca for 7-8 months. As a CCA/RCA it’s either feast or famine man you either have too much hours or not enough depends on your station
@@adventuresofadan5037 Why is it taking so long for my orientation? Should i be concerned? I accepted the CCA job 2 months ago but i still keep seeing "IN PROGRESS".
thank you
whats good man, question about RCA..if you use your own vehicle do they reimburse your gas or provide you with a gas card?
Yeah man. They should give you a card for the most part but you do keep track of your mileage
@@adventuresofadan5037 ok cool thanks, now i see RCA is "non-career," what does that mean?
So that is basically saying you are not placing into things like your 401k you don’t accumulate sick leave or annual leave man. These are small examples man once you are career you start to accumulate these things, that is once you either become a ptf or get your own route
@@adventuresofadan5037 ahh okay, gotcha. Appreciate the clarification
@@brianmontalvo3006 though a new contract could be getting passed, RCAs will start accumulating paid time off.
Yo hit me up homie I got some questions about RCA BRO GRACIAS
What’s good brother??
@@adventuresofadan5037 but what’s the pay for gas and maintenance. Like is enough to cover and do I get that even if I use there llv. They give me 45 working days to get my own pov There so slammed they say there’s mad hours but still haven’t gotten my start date. So just wana know what I’m getting into
Ohhh and also what do ya recommend as far as a cca or rca so I just checked same location now is hiring for cca. I mean my girl is a pse there but she soo busy she can’t get info for me lol. But yea. I mean what’s more money feel me. I be in Tennessee murfesborro. And it’s sooooo busy From what they say 🤞🏾
Do they compensate you for using your own vehicle?
Yep. 92 cents per mile.
What is the position is a Rual Carr Associate/Reg Rte? Is this considered a full time position meaning regular?
Unfortunately no it’s still non career. RCA is still under that title assistant or associate
You nailed it! 👏
USPS is a big boy job. You’ve got two years of hell as a cca and after that you’re set for life. Don’t give up on the possibility of retirement because you can’t hand out with your friends for a year or two

City carriers have a better union
Isn't it a conflict of interest, what company has its own union, paying their own employees to represent union members paying monthly $60 union dues, gaining no money for winning grievances, when you can, for free, file an EEO within 45 days of Usps offenses, winning up to $300,000. for discrimination and up to $4 million for retaliation?
Usps union is complicit with Usps management, practicing patterns of racism, retaliation against whistleblowers, also discrimination and retaliation against injured on duty disabled employees! See McConnell vs Usps, Pittman vs Usps, Glover vs Usps, and many, many more cases for decades!
Past 5 years Usps paid out $5,631,795. for sexual harassment.
