2008 Kia Optima Key stuck in ignition won't come out easy fix repair

Key won't come out or go to off position even gear is in park mode. remove shifter and bottom plate. you will see plastic on top is torn apart. get a hot staple gun or glue to position broken part back in place

Thanks a ton! Took a knife to the plastic bit and its good as new! Started calling shops but then decided to use UA-cam instead, probably saved me $100 bucks! Subscribed and liked for ya!

Thanks brother I just got home for the holidays and my parents had the same issue! We didn’t have a soldering gun so I snipped it off and it stays in park!

Open up the center dash, then do what I did. I hope it works
