*Headphone users, I really apologize for the audio, you can fix it on your end by turning on mono audio. For iOS users, go to settings, accessibility, audio+visual, and turn on mono audio and everything will be fixed on your end if you choose to watch. I have ordered a new microphone for all videos starting next week and again, I seriously apologize. My editing software was playing everything back normally so I didn’t notice until it was recently pointed out to me..*

Mine had a recall for the start/stop, can cause the engine to go into limp mode.

This condition can cause engine damage.

Great review. Never understood why the backseat not getting an armrest/cupholder setup would be the cost savings GM would use. My guess is that next refresh adds that back in.
GM had a fantastic 9sp automatic that was paired with their diesel engine on the Cruze. I wish they’d just use that one as standard. Sadly, they are heading more towards CVTs…bleh.

They ended up paying some of my rental car fees and giving me a 3,500 voucher towards a lease or purchase of a Chevy vehicle. That's what I used to get my Trax. I'm a certified master mechanic. The timing belt is made out of a specialized rubber material that is lubricated with synthetic oil. It has a 150000 mile service interval change. This vehicle's engine has steel sleeves in the cylinders and is actually a very well put together engine with adequate power. With the Borg Warner Turbo the vehicle properly maintained should run 200000 miles without any problems other than normal maintenance issues. My best friend and a master mechanic told me that with the rubber they're using which is very different than an actual fan belt and changing the oil at 4000 mile intervals with full synthetic mobile one. The timing belt does not need to be changed for a 150000 miles. He claims that he would change the belt at a 100000 miles to be on the safe side and to make sure all fluids including transmission coolant and oil are changed on a regular basis. This car will last a lifetime.
