@@dubuyajay9964 IIRC Vampire Coast can only raise those that died at sea. That's pretty much why you only ever see them with naval artillery.

The outpost mechanic was frankly a great one to add to WH3.
Got Karl Franz commanding a army of Steam Tanks, Hellstorm, Gunners and Ironbreakers, its beautiful.
The one thing that's really pissing me off is that you can't seem to get rattling guns. I allied with like 4 Skaven as Slaanesh specifically for ratling guns, and even tho they have the building, I can't get them :(
yea this is the reason imma play the crap outta this game, tho now i only see fractions as axillary troops to the dwarfs lol, strong front line with the possibility of cav flanks and lizard monsters or zombie arty fodder that im trying out now 😂 have a new 8 arty and 2 zombies and 4 thunderers 😂😂
@@nikeaddict55 I think for some reason all DLC units are unavailable regardless of if you own the DLC or not.
@@romaliop is that what it is? Frankly I haven't noticed it with other DLC units, but that may be true

@@OksmanTV Keep in mind on lower difficulties the AI is apparently more aggressive right now. On higher the AI tends to stay in their settlements more often and not venture out, so its interesting either way.
Helman Ghorst is very very VERY overpowered. So I can definitely see that being easily achievable.
@@DenemeDokioI don't have any issue with them being aggressive, it's probably a bit better since now they just stack on their settlements, making it hard to take them rather than open field battles
@@OksmanTV last I checked he only does these videos when people play on hard+ for both campaign and battle but there's some exceptions.

A new series testing army compositions people send in would be amazing especially since doomstacks are not as viable now

I think its mainly because of removing supply lines, which makes crap stacks a lot more efficient
@@Alan0000able It's not that they're not as viable, it's that they're not as optimal. In Warhammer 2 because of 15% supply lines penalty on legendary you needed fewer but stronger armies. In Warhammer 3 it's only 4% so it's more efficient to have more armies instead of stronger armies. The AI doesn't usually build anything that can counter a mid tier army, and even if they do you'll most likely be fighting them in a settlement where they kind of just sit around not using their army effectively.
You can absolutely still paint the map with a few doomstacks instead, you probably just won't get there quite as quickly.

Spoiler alert - everyone will be running best artillery on melee heavy factions making those doomstack still look the same .. well worse cause it will be from one or two factions (skaven / empire prob )

Yeah, Blue Rose seems to be a pretty neutral faction. I dragged them into a coalition of order campaign as a military ally as the high elves.
Yeah it’s strange, I just started a very hard campaign as Blue Rose and thought I was going to be fighting wars on all sides but Cathay likes me and I got treaties with Imrik 🤷♂️
@@alexc5243 very hard has really weird ai right now. I'd suggest playing on normal although it isn't really challenging.
@@IVIRnathanreilly It's not limited to Very Hard. I play on Hard/Hard and I still was able to get alliances with basically all of Cathay with zero effort. The only reason I was at war with Imrik was because I wanted to be, I could have allied him as well. You have to fight Ogres, Nurgle, and Skaven early and that endears you to the Order factions more than their aversion penalizes you, enough to get trade agreements and non-aggression pacts and it snowballs from there. Plus there's the "infiltrate noble houses" tech. The biggest problem was Nakai weirdly taking over half of the continent and eating all my allies, when I really didn't want to deal with him.
Ghorst only has a -10 aversion penalty compared to the 30/40 that other VC's tend to have, which makes you have a better resting opinion of most factions. To make it even better, Cathay REALLY loves trade pacts (an easy way to boost your opinion with both the trade target and other cathay factions), AND there are greenskins near your start thatyou should absolutely go to war with, which easily boosts your opinion with cathay/other humans to the point that you can get treaties to finish the job.
Though he does suffer from an opinion penalty in place of boon when it comes to other VC's, but they're far from his starting position and you can work to solve that at your leisure.
Now that I realize vassalizing one elector as vlad might be a meta tactic since he gives bonuses to relations with empire so by having that vassal he can recruit steam tanks on an undead army XD
Currently doing that on my playthrough.
Trying to become the emperor behind the scenes by backing a couple of elector counts, giving them settlements and vassalising Franz and Gelt.

My favorite combo is to have Dwarven Thunderers and Irondrakes with a line of Handgunners behind them. The dwarves are so short that the handgunners can fire right over their heads. lol

Got four helstorms as Thorgrim with two master engineers, its really fun, and having cav as the stunties is pretty nice.
other way around is nice as well , as eltharion i got frontline made of 2 ironbreaker and 2 temple guard unit...true order tide

has anyone ever wondered how to rotate troops quickly?
hold ALT +CTRL + left or right click into which ever direction
To follow that up because I know some people don't know this, ALT + left click allows you to move around all currently selected units in their current formations, then follow that up with CTRL + left click to rotate the formation

Knew about alt, did NOT know about alt + ctrl. You guys are saints.
You don't need to continue holding ALT. If you hold ALT and then move a unit you can release ALT and continue to move it as long as you don't release the left click. You can then press CTRL to rotate, which does require you to hold it as long as you want to rotate. If you release CTRL, you can continue to move the unit.
I love how at 09:00 you see Legend prove a point about nerfs and it they are actually effective. It is Wind of Death and he just mowed down 1000 units in one go. Love to see it!

That's what I was hoping for when I heard about the Outpost system. Some completely new and weird army compositions if the player puts in the effort.
...my von Carstein Empire Corruption playstyle got even better! Not only Helstorms, but I can have Gun Wagons too! With one of the best tanking chaff out there! And Vlad + Bella, ofc!

I noticed that the AI is much better at not just dodging spells, but artillery as well. My mortars were practically useless in my Karl Franz campaign.

You should be able to capture the artillery pieces of any army you defeat in battle. They could throw in a mechanic where your troops have to “capture” it the same way you cap a control point. They could even give players and bot factions the option to spike their artillery if they feel like its in danger of being taken. But you would have to have a certain health, so you couldn’t do it if the crew is dead or the piece is already destroyed. Now I know this would probably break the meta so I don’t expect it to happen, but it would be cool,

I've just started a campaign as the Blue Roses Caravan, and I gotta say it's been loads of fun. Flooding the map with ultra cheap stacks of Ghorst's giga-zombies is really fun.

The outpost recruitment has really upped the game. It's insanely fun to get unusual combos like iron breakers + rocket batteries or wood elves + high elf bolt throwers.
That moment when he saw the reinforcements coming down the hill in file made me laugh. "Out of my way, out of my fucking way!" xD
Can't wait to see more crazy compositions in the future.

Like what if you got an event where you can declare your faction leader as Emperor and you gain the elector count empire faction mechanic (but with vampires)
That would indeed be nice, a way to convert the elector counts into vamps if you vassalize they would be thematic
I love the outposts. My empire campaign was a ton of fun with gyrocopters and irondrakes from karaz a karak supplementing my armies

I just found out you can use revive crystal as lizard to restore amo for stegadon cause the crystal now revive dead entity

it's one of my favourite units for lizards tbh.
combine revive crystal with a life slann healing and you can get your kroxigors or ripperdactyl units from being nearly wiped out back to full unit strengh during battle.
I would definitely enjoy seeing more videos with outpost units
Pretty sure the realm of souls is supposed to be a multiple use ability now. Same as DE murderous mastery activating more than once.

the AI dodging arcing shots like they are scripting and know EXACTLY which unit im targetting (which they do) is so frustrating.
He probably got into the zone of control using backspace right before the attack began.

Its possible to get the overcasted wind of death cost down to 14, vanguard deployment on all units, blood chalice and +10 md/ma on all vampire heroes now.
If you start as isabella you get carstein as a hero, then just level them up. Carstein has a passive to lower the cost of winds of death.
And on wod being meh on elite units is correct sadly. Regular one has 100%ap, but the overcasted one has quite a bit lower. Overcast pit of shades can outperform vs a blob of heavily armored units. Wod is fantastic vs skaven tho
He probably just moved close while he wasn't at war with the faction yet

This army is much better against heavily armored inf army like chaos or dwarfs.
Wind of death do a lot of dmg but very low AP which means high armour targets negate a ton of dmg.
While tomb king skeletons are very low armor
that's why it's good to have a shadow vampire in your armies =)
none overcasted wind of death has a pretty high armor piercing ratio, if you are up against lots of armour you can use that and just do more casts

I'd love to see a deeper analysis of the undead healing issue. Especially since in my Eshin/Greasus coop campaign it appears the AI benefits from it... What would you recommend for army comp, strategy and tactics when FACING unkillable tomb guards?
Interesting battle and army but near map completion in 101 turns, seems a bit odd. I wonder if his tech tree is complete as well?
