It had great tag teams like the Motor City Machine Guns, LAX, Dudley Bros, and Beer Money Inc in a time where WWE had hardly any legit tag teams. It’s women’s division shit all over WWE’s at the time. It had what is is still my favorite Kurt Angle run. AJ Styles was this new, amazing talent to behold. Scott Steiner and Booker T were funny as shit. I think it’s biggest downfall is that it couldn’t do long-term booking for shit. The roster was insanely stacked in that 2005-2009 era. It still feels like a much more legitimate alternative than AEW ever had been and with a fraction of the budget.

TNA from 06-09 is some of my favorite times in wrestling, especially when WWE was having their worst year in 09. Jim can miss me with his hatred of TNA.

The hilarious thing is that we will be having the exact same conversation 10 years from now about AEW.

it's about going back to the 05-09 TNA... I think that vignette was made in bad faith...
TNA has been more consistent than any other promotion in the past two years (after the murdrr mystery era)...
It's about acknowledging that post 05-09 was bad... and that they're going to their roots.
I can guarantee it will be better than anything AEW puts together eight now.

I dont know about the rest of Impact but I will say No Surrender 2022 was the best damn PPV I have watched in years from top to bottom.

I find it funny wrestling fans shit on Russo, but enjoyed watching the product when he was head of creative of those shows. I truly miss TNA from 2005-2010 last wrestling show i watched weekly. Both WWE & AEW now are unwatchable.

Remember in WWF, Test and Albert, their tag team was called TNA, managed by Trish Stratus

Ah yes, TNA. The company that gave birth to Perc Angle

The second I saw Fat Albert and "Rudy" Cornette, the Fat Albert theme started playing in my head.

Folks can hate on TNA/Impact all they wan't, but as someone who has watched wrestling for 50 years, and even had a relative [Sailor White] hold gold in the WWF, I can say, with great enthusiasm, that it's the only promotion that I currently follow loyally. In fact, I've watched every week since it came into existence. But, I can count on one hand the number of times I've bothered with AEW, and EVERYONE knows that WWE has never been the same since Guerrero and Benoit passed,,,you can deny it all u wan't, but you know it's true. Here's another truth for you...the only people currently worth watching in the WWE are all folks who were elevated from their time in TNA/Impact....Styles, McIntyre, Lashley, LA Knight, etc....even watching Roode in a back stage role would be more entertaining than half of what goes on in their ring. Even Christian Cage wouldn't be the top heel he is today if it wasn't for the time he was allowed to come into his own in TNA. And it should never be forgotten that womens' wrestling in the modern age, exists thanks, not to Divas, but to Gail Kim, Awesome Kong and their Knockout peers...whether or not you like womens' wrestling is irrelevant. Wrestling needs TNA/Impact..only true wrestling fans know this.

I feel like when it comes to revolutionizing wrestling, people look at either TNA or ROH.

I've never watched TNA, but I honestly thought it was called, TNA Impact wrestling the whole time.
