I am a 64 year old woman who doesn't know much about machinery, but I want a big tree digger thing! I find that it is the most fascinating and satisfying piece of machinery to watch!
Hi Laura. This is the most wholesome comments section I have ever seen. How does it feel to have such a wonderful audience / community? ❤❤❤❤btw lot's of love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 ❤️
Thank you Aaron!! You are such a wonderful husband. My husband is sick now and I miss being able to call on him to do the heavy lifting and help organize projects. Laura is blessed. She deserves it though because she works in the wind and cold. Love everything you guys do!!🌲🪴
Hugs to both of you. I know it's frustrating for him to watch you struggle, too. Hope you can find a good handyman or hire some strong teen when there's something you can't work around. I know sometimes that's easier said than done!
I totally understand your struggle. I have an ill husband who is unable to help me in the garden. Laura when you put that gorgeous maple back in the pot I thought to myself I wonder if she wanted to put the drip in. I’ve only been watching for about 10 months but I’ve learned so much from you. I’ve been gardening for around 30 years. I thought I knew a lot, nope!🤣
The ingenuity to develop the tree spade is just remarkable. I wish there was a smalllllll home version we have clay & shale and even digging a small hole for a mailbox post can take more than an hr.
Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day. My daughters planned an outing to a Botanical Garden and lunch for me. Unfortunately i couldn't make it. Fridays radiation treatment on my left ankle for a sarcoma tumor left me in terrible pain an i just couldn't walk. My foot looks as if i have been in a fire. Swollen so bad,you can feel the heat radiating from it. Seven more to go,pray i can do it. Watching your videos gives me so much enjoyment even more so during this time. Surgery will be next, don't have the date yet. As i lay around healing i know watching you during the summer with all the new plants growing, different tours thru yours an your moms gardens will be relaxing. I didn't plant a vegetable garden this year, but i did plant so many things early Spring. Got my flowering crabapples ,and so many David Austin roses in a burm i started. It all looks so beautiful. The Daisy Maès i planted last year are in bloom. They have gotten larger this year an are mounding so nicely. As i go thru recovery i will go back and watch old videos. I learn something from every video i have ever watched in the last six years. I enjoy watching you an your family everyday.
Sorry to hear you're going through this. I'm wishing you well & to be as comfortable as possible. May God bless & guide the surgeons hands. Speedy recovery post-op! 🙏 🙋
They're wearing jackets, sweaters, etc and enjoying chilly winds, here in India it's wet everywhere, and when it doesn't rain, the sun boils. It's amazing how our earth works!
Here’s an obscure statistic for you. There are more than 170 thousand centenarians in the US. I’m well on my way at 83 and I’m looking forward to watching your videos 6 days a week forever. 🤗
Wow those guys from the tree farm are amazing. It was so fast and looked like the least disturbance possible for the tree considering it was moving to a new area. The sedum is beautiful, and I love all the colors and textures together. The Japanese Maple looks happy with more soil and looks great back in that protected area. You definitely have had a productive day. Have a blessed day everyone.
Who else sees a tree spade in Garden Answer's future???? 🤣 When the big blades wrap around the tree it's like they are giving the tree a {{{HUG}}}.... we've got ya little buddy!! I love to watch heavy machinery work!!!
What a treat to watch that tree digging machine at work! How ingenious to think of how to create such a piece of machinery! Thanks for including this in your video!❤❤❤
ARHHHH….Laura’s sound she made when she realized she forgot to run drip up through the center hole of the Japanese Maple. 😂 But really I’ve done it too, no fun…lol.
Honestly if it wasn't for your channel I would not even know such an amazing machine/tool to move trees even existed! Thanks for sharing ❤ from Andrea 😊 see you next time
Großartig Ratschläge liebe Laura, doch das Fahrzeug, daß die großen Bäume umpflanzt pasziniert mich immer noch.Herzlichen Dank wir sehen uns.GRÜßE auch an Deine Mutter from Germany ❤
I admire you so much, dear Laura! You’re such an inspiration to me! We’ve had a lot of wind and cool weather lately too and I like wind as much as you and it’s so easy for me to postpone outdoor projects because of the wind and cold. You dislike it too but you persevere! You make me realize that I could bundle up and get after it too. You make me want to do better.
Wow, it takes them longer to drive to your house than to move the trees! So windy,, you are a worker! I need a Laura in my life, as my neighbor 🙏🏻.... coffee ☕, cake 🎂, garden 🏡 and food 🥑🥝🍜🥗🥂 Have a blessed day ❤️🙏🏻🤗
wow, that wind! wind is brutal, but you powered through!! love watching big machinery, and the tree spade machine is just amazing... wrestling the japanese maple was no easy trick either but the two of you got it done.... windy and productive day!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
That is so flipping, amazing. Watching those trees get ducked up and moved. So cool. Just think a few years back, we saw the tumbleweeds flying around all fields.❤🎉
It has been such a windy spring here in Eagle, Idaho. Like you, we feel beaten by the wind! But thankfully, we had a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend! I could watch them move trees all day!
Great day! I understand about the wind! I am so so ready for our very cold wind to leave for awhile in zone 4. The trees look great! The maple neighborhood area is going to look so good from your window in the fall! Looks very nice now too!
I'm with you on the wind, I live across from a giant cranberry bog - it's absolutely beautiful, but the wind is unreal. I'm so over it! I also love seeing that spade in action, so cool!!!
Watching you battle with the wind reminds me of seeing you wrestling with long sheets of plastic as you attempted to tame your first dirt lands where your beautiful flower lands now lives .
Those tree spades are an incredible invention! I wish i had one. You can see how much less traumatic it is for the trees. That thing is worth its weight in gold.
I so enjoy watching the big tree spade. It’s just fascinating. I never knew such a thing existed until you introduced me to it. We all learn so much from you. Thanks. 🥰🌲🌳
Laura I wish that we had wonderful weather over here in Houston Tx love the weather in the 40’s 30’s I grow up in the northwestern of the USA 🇺🇸 so love the cold weather with a hot cocoa now the weather here in Houston Tx so much humidity I feel like I’m cooking in the oven goodness gracious love your weather over in Oregon so you’re so blessed well it has been raining 🌧️ here and there but still lots of humidity though “You Have A Blessed Day” 🙏🏻😇💐 And that looks just beautiful 👍🏻
Wow! I find that machinery just fascinating. Life would be so much easier with one of those. Your repotted tree and plants looked beautiful also. Love from Ky.❤
I’m with ya on the wind thing, Laura. I can handle most other weather systems but wind is so unsettling and irritating. You can’t get away from it because even when you’re inside, you can hear it.😅
I LOVE THE DEDICATED PURPLE AREA! SO PRETTY. SWEET! THE TREES LOOK GREAT ~ COMING RIGHT ALONG...SO EXCITING. *** I NEVER CHECK OUR WEATHER HERE IN NORTH CAROLINA --- AS I GET MY WEATHER ALERTS FROM YOU LAURA --- WHAT Y'ALL ARE GETTING, I KNOW IT WILL MAKE ITS WAY ACROSS THE NATION TO HIT US. PRAYING FOR WARMER DAY.
Hi Laura and family Well it's in the afternoon its also a little windy in the Oklahoma Panhandle USDA ZONE 6b we've had some nice rain for a couple of days. I would love to have a Japanese Maple but, my house faces North and South and some shade in the front yard that faces north, could put it in between locust trees keep it in a very large flower container 🤔. like watching the trees been moved very interesting. Thank you Laura for sharing, have a great rest of the day 🙂 👋 🌲
The potted Japanese Maple: possibly Acer shirasawanum, or Autumn Moon Full Moon Maple? I read it was developed by a Japanese Maple expert in Oregon. Just a guess.
2:03 That variety of Japanese Maple looks a lot like Autumn Moon. I have one in my yard. It's a very pretty chartreuse color, and new growth comes with a red tinge to the 9-lobed leaves.
I HAVE THAT MAPLE! Came from ISELI NURSERY. Mine is the North Wind® Maple - Jack Frost® Collection. Emerges beautiful red and ages to green. Same shape. BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍
Hi Laura, I'm in southwestern Ontario, Canada, and I also garden in a Zone 6b. We've had the same crazy weather you guys have had, so up and down with rain, sun and lots of windy days. You just have to keep on persevering and hope that the next season is an improvement on the current one!
The strawberry plants look fantastic and the harvest is wonderful. I switched my veg garden to raised beds in 2020 and I’ll never go back. It’s much easier and convenient to garden. It’s not economical on a large scale like you have, but one or two rows for perennial fruit/veg is perfect.
I have been digging up and moving everything out of my flowerbeds around my foundation so we can have repairs done and the digging in the dirt is so satisfying, that machine 😮😅
I 😂love how you work i like you hair color and all the trees it’s really nice to have that amazing machine 😅not hard word with that one tree in and tree out great 👍
Very cool to see them work IN NON-ROCKY SOIL!!!! Whenever we put in trees (some of substantial size), we excavate -- often use a pry pole to break up -- more rock/rocks than soil.
I am a 64 year old woman who doesn't know much about machinery, but I want a big tree digger thing! I find that it is the most fascinating and satisfying piece of machinery to watch!
No backs breaking there LOL
I love the "boys toys " also. Lowes is my fav place to shop. Girls can love machinery too! BTW I'm 67.
I'm a 76 year young gardener and oh baby!!! How much fun would that be?!!🎉🎉🎉
Agree! I’m 75 and I want a Bobcat. 😂
Haha - me too. It’s mesmerising to watch isn’t it…….. 🙌
The best thing I got from this video is that I am not the only one out there with dirt crusted hands. The sign of a true gardener. Love it. 😊
Thank you for that comment. Well said. 🙂
It gives me so much respect for Laura. She doesn't wear gloves foe normal garden work.
Yep, if you don't like my stained nails this time of year, you don't know me
Who has time to grab gloves 😊
Yes and dirt under the nails with greenish yellow stains from pulling weeds! LOL
Hi Laura. This is the most wholesome comments section I have ever seen. How does it feel to have such a wonderful audience / community? ❤❤❤❤btw lot's of love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 ❤️
If this UA-cam gig doesn't work out, you can always go into the drip irrigation business. You make it look so easy.
I needed this laugh 😂❤
🤣
And one handed ?????
For real!!!!! I am so jealous of how easy this looks!
Thank you Aaron!! You are such a wonderful husband. My husband is sick now and I miss being able to call on him to do the heavy lifting and help organize projects. Laura is blessed. She deserves it though because she works in the wind and cold. Love everything you guys do!!🌲🪴

❤😊 Full Recovery for Ur Hubby's, God Bless ❤😊
The ingenuity to develop the tree spade is just remarkable. I wish there was a smalllllll home version we have clay & shale and even digging a small hole for a mailbox post can take more than an hr.
You all move trees a lot, I get it as I have one I’d like to move but Hubs said no. Ok when it scraps your van in the drive you’ll know why😂
We have heavy clay and rocks...I feel your pain! The augers Laura uses don't work for us because of the rocks.
I love ❤seeing that tree spade in action! Very cool machine!! The winds seemed relentless today, but you got it done, Laura! My garden hero😅
Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day. My daughters planned an outing to a Botanical Garden and lunch for me. Unfortunately i couldn't make it. ❤
God Bless You and your surgery and have a speedy recovery. Your comment was wonderful to read. ❤️
Wishing you well and an excellent recovery. Watching Laura's videos is so wondetful and soothing. All the best to you❤
I find this machinery fascinating to watch! It so easily picks up and plants big trees.
Talk about having the right tool for the job; that tree digging machine is something else!😊❤❤
Me too! My only regret is that I won’t live long enough to see some of these trees at maturity.
I'm with you Laura. That is a fantastic way to plant trees and fun to watch. Love the sedum and maple tree. Especially like the pot it is in.
Isn't that a gorgeous pot? Love it too.
Wow those guys from the tree farm are amazing. It was so fast and looked like the least disturbance possible for the tree considering it was moving to a new area. The sedum is beautiful, and I love all the colors and textures together. The Japanese Maple looks happy with more soil and looks great back in that protected area. I’m loving the new editing guy!! 😂🤪
Who else sees a tree spade in Garden Answer's future???? 🤣 When the big blades wrap around the tree it's like they are giving the tree a {{{HUG}}}.... we've got ya little buddy!! I love to watch heavy machinery work!!!
Like you, Laura, I love to watch the tree holes being spaded and the trees planted.
I never get tired of watching that process. What a machine!
6:09 Yup!🌳 you need one more Japanese maple in that space. That would be ideal. Beautiful.
WOW, THAT TREE SPADE WAS INCREDIBLE. I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE 😳
You two are just AMAZING - Have a lovely evening with those Precious children ❤
The "Tree Spade" is the coolest machine ever
What a treat to watch that tree digging machine at work! How ingenious to think of how to create such a piece of machinery! Thanks for including this in your video!❤❤❤
ARHHHH….Laura’s sound she made when she realized she forgot to run drip up through the center hole of the Japanese Maple. 😂 But really I’ve done it too, no fun…lol.
I could watch that tree digger all day long! With that background music-oh yeah!
Honestly if it wasn't for your channel I would not even know such an amazing machine/tool to move trees even existed! Thanks for sharing ❤ from Andrea 😊 see you next time
A blessed evening to all!
It was like watching an action film today. I was like “oh no, the root ball on the sedum! Go back, go back!” 😂😂 Great job Laura! So efficient.
Großartig Ratschläge liebe Laura, doch das Fahrzeug, daß die großen Bäume umpflanzt pasziniert mich immer noch.Herzlichen Dank wir sehen uns.GRÜßE auch an Deine Mutter from Germany ❤
Afternoon Everyone 🍃🌺🍃
What a productive day you had! I do believe you are faster and more efficient than even the tree spade! 😅
Always LOVE to watch that tree digging / replanting machine. What an INCREDIBLE piece of machinery!
Your hair weave looks fabulous!❤❤❤God bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻 ☦️
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
I admire you so much, dear Laura!
Now who would think that digging holes could be very interesting? But it is. That machinery is amazing.
It is so satisfying watching the tree spade remove the tree and then it fits perfectly in its new hole. I love watching this process every time!
Wow! That wind is something else! Don't blow away Laura!
I’m with you, Laura, it is amazing watching those trees moved. Progress goes on…
Omgosh, Laura! That’s the kind of day to stay inside, snuggle with the kiddos, and have a nice, warm bowl of soup!
WINNING FORMULA EPISODE! chores, cat, gator ride, mini garden tour ❤
Wow, it takes them longer to drive to your house than to move the trees! So windy,, you are a worker! I need a Laura in my life, as my neighbor 🙏🏻.... coffee ☕, cake 🎂, garden 🏡 and food 🥑🥝🍜🥗🥂
Have a blessed day ❤️🙏🏻🤗
I love that you left the sound of the wind in with the music.
I am a 70 year old woman and I have always wanted a tree spade, what can I say, I love trees!!!
I already know that this is going to be my favourite part of the garden this year, all the purples in one place! Can't wait to see it
wow, that wind! wind is brutal, but you powered through!! love watching big machinery, and the tree spade machine is just amazing... wrestling the japanese maple was no easy trick either but the two of you got it done.... windy and productive day!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Watching removing and planting the trees were fascinating!
The editing and music for your videos ✅✅✅the best!
That is so flipping, amazing. Watching those trees get ducked up and moved. So cool. Just think a few years back, we saw the tumbleweeds flying around all fields.❤🎉
Looks like a Fullmoon Japanese maple. They are gorgeous!
Agree! It is so fascinating to watch the trees being dug and replanted by the "Big Machine."😅
It has been such a windy spring here in Eagle, Idaho. Like you, we feel beaten by the wind! But thankfully, we had a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend! I could watch them move trees all day!

Thank you for showing us the tree digger up close. It is fascinating how they have made a machine that does it so quickly.
That tree-digging machine is one of the coolest inventions ever!❤
Watching you battle with the wind reminds me of seeing you wrestling with long sheets of plastic as you attempted to tame your first dirt lands where your beautiful flower lands now lives .
Those tree spades are an incredible invention! I wish i had one. You can see how much less traumatic it is for the trees. That thing is worth its weight in gold.
I always enjoy seeing them digging those gigantic holes for the trees.
That tree moving machine is like an incredible metal dancing flower!
Totally fun to watch that big tree mover. Those guys are efficient. And so is Laura planting sedum! She even fixes the drip quickly. Nice work
thanks for showing the tree being moved - I love the machinery being able to move trees and dig holes - really neat!
I so enjoy watching the big tree spade. It’s just fascinating. I never knew such a thing existed until you introduced me to it. We all learn so much from you. Thanks. 🥰🌲🌳
Thanks for braving the wind and chilly weather today. You’re always so productive!
all the wind and still your hair is perfectly gorgeous
Just watched Jenny's latest episode at Creekside. That flood was no joke.
Laura I wish that we had wonderful weather over here in Houston Tx love the weather in the 40’s 30’s I grow up in the northwestern of the USA 🇺🇸 so love the cold weather with a hot cocoa now the weather here in Houston Tx so much humidity I feel like I’m cooking in the oven goodness gracious love your weather over in Oregon so you’re so blessed well it has been raining 🌧️ here and there but still lots of humidity though “You Have A Blessed Day” 🙏🏻😇💐

Sooo great to get the trees moved. That equipment is amazing. I love that seedum. It's beautiful. Can't wait to see the Dahlias.!!!🌿🌿🌿💐💜🦋🦋🦋🦋
The tree spade truck is epic. I’m obsessed 😂

I‘ve never seen anything like that tree spade at work. It was so quick and made light work of moving the trees
I too was mesmerized by the tree digger/planter. Amazing.
So fun to watch as usual. I must be really old because I use a shovel to dig and hose to water. So grateful I can at my age.
Hi Laura and family
Well it's in the afternoon its also a little windy in the Oklahoma Panhandle USDA ZONE 6b we've had some nice rain for a couple of days. I HAVE THAT MAPLE! Came from ISELI NURSERY. Mine is the North Wind® Maple - Jack Frost® Collection. Emerges beautiful red and ages to green. Same shape. BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍
Now you need a weeping Japanese maple to fill in the Japanese garden!!
Can't wait until the pink begonias under all the trees lining the drive fill in!
Hi Laura, I'm in southwestern Ontario, Canada, and I also garden in a Zone 6b. We've had the same crazy weather you guys have had, so up and down with rain, sun and lots of windy days. You just have to keep on persevering and hope that the next season is an improvement on the current one!
Omg coolest machine ever!! Beautiful Japanese maple 🍁
As an Indiana gardener I always envy your cool evenings in the summer but I believe your wind would drive me crazy..😂
The first time I ever saw a tree spade must’ve been 40 years ago in a mountain town in Utah. It was fascinating to me then, and still is.
Love the music with the repotting especially with the wind sound
I love your hoselink setup on the little watering trailer SO much ❤
The tree spade is awesome! We had trees moved years ago and it made such an improvement. I‘d be happy with trees on wheels I’ve often said! 😉
I love the Japanese maple tree, it’s beautiful 😍
Those Tree Spades make light work of moving large trees 🌳🌲😊👍🏻
Great work is ruff weather...good job Laura👍
Love watching your tree planting videos That machine cuts through the ground like it's butter!! Your sedum is such a pretty color❤
Japanese maples are so pretty.
I love love your shows. I'm noticing the clouds; the view is so amazing where you live.
I have been digging up and moving everything out of my flowerbeds around my foundation so we can have repairs done and the digging in the dirt is so satisfying, that machine 😮😅
You made repotting that Katsura into that Asian Waterbowl look so easy. Great Job! (I remembered the original planting. Wow!)
I 😂love how you work i like you hair color and all the trees it’s really nice to have that amazing machine 😅not hard word with that one tree in and tree out great 👍
That big spade is interesting to watch. Thank you for the close ups. ❤❤❤
Very cool to see them work IN NON-ROCKY SOIL!!!! Whenever we put in trees (some of substantial size), we excavate -- often use a pry pole to break up -- more rock/rocks than soil.
