- I have been filming this for the past 2 years and I wanted to share my dance progress to hopefully help people not give up on something they are passionate about :)

I’m not sure if you’ll see this but you literally changed everything for me with this video. Before I knew this website existed I was just using videos from UA-cam that weren’t very helpful and I wasn’t progressing at all, I just felt very lost and confused. Now that I’ve found out about edkpop I finally learned my first ever choreography and I’m not confused or lost with the different moves now because the explanations are so in depth, and they also have choreography’s that teach you dance foundations which I was absolutely lost on before because there’s barely anything on UA-cam explaining kpop/hip-hop foundations in depth. I also love that the whole website and lessons are basically free besides from live classes which aren’t really necessary to improve if you don’t want to do them. If you didn’t make this video I probably would’ve gave up on dancing honestly, so I want to say thank you!!

You did so well for someone who is primarily self-taught. This is actually amazing progress! I would say don’t worry too much about going full out for every single move because you’ll use your energy up quickly - take time to feel the groove and put your own twist on it

Wooow you're a rolemodel! I started dancing and exercising around 3 weeks ago and I already look and feel much better. Dancing is nice, it's something you can stick to after losing weight because there always is something you can work on. You look much happier and more confident now. Keep that up and never forget to stay healthy and hydrated❣️😁

Dancing has always been my passion but haven't had enough resources to go to classes...
I'm quite busy in this period of my life, but eventually I'll improve and videos like yours are very positive, thanks! :D
Can I ask you how many classes did you take? How did you choose the classes?
Since I can only do very few even in a period of months, I just choose by what songs I like, but would like to get better at choosing songs that'll teach me more in less time (kinda)

EDKpop did changed a lot over the past 2 years, they use to have 3 live classes 3 times a week. So, I use to take about 6 classes a week (but not every time). I chose whatever classes they had for the week and would do them. I recommend taking the Kpop essential classes (which you can find in the "practice" room on the EDKpop website). These classes teach you the basics that a lot of dances and kpop choreos use which can help you improve faster than just learning a kpop dance. You can do any kind of song that makes you happy and want to dance, but these are just some recommendations :) Fighting!! 🤗

You mentioned "your last evaluation", but how it worked? You can only learn from them for a specific time your it was your choice to keep learning by yourself? Btw I'm really impressed by your evolution, you worked really hard!!

@English & More I have done like 2 private classes so far which I recommend doing! I have been mostly using the free classes right now and I have not done any vocal evaluations because I'm not confident in that and I had more passion for dancing😄

I've been looking at the site (thanks for the recommendation!!) since I'd love to improve my dancing skills, but I have no interest in becoming an idol 😅 is this for everybody or only aspiring trainees?
You don't have to be aspiring trainee to do this program, it's for anyone! Even though they had singing lessons I just never did them. Personally, I just did this program to help my dance skills! So, I recommend giving it a try! 😁

What should I do if there is no mirror for dancing? 😭 And which editor would you recommend to compare yourself to a dancer?
If you don't have mirror, just use your phone! I used to use this method before my sister got mirrors. Once you learn a part of a dance, record yourself and see what kind of mistakes you made. This helped me a lot when I first started! also for editing I personally use adobe premiere pro because my sister owns one, but I recommend using an app called CapCut because it's easier to use. Hopes this helps 😄

I’m just starting dancing rn. I am using a UA-cam video tutorial on how to do a kpop dance. I know nothing about dancing. I only learned verse 1 of a song and my dancing is super stiff and it doesn’t look like it was carried out very well. If anybody has any tiles pls tell me :(

I personally had the same issues as well! I just blocked family members that I didn't feel comfortable with knowing about my dancing. If they do find out about your account, who cares about what they think just keep dancing and keep sharing! 😄❤ I recommend posting covers! It's fun!

just fake it till you make it, you cant have what you dont believe you have
Practice confidence! In the beginning it was hard for me to dance in front of a camera, but I just kept doing it and practicing that I just started to feel more comfortable and confident. Sometimes you just have to make it like you're on stage and just feel the music and go off! 😄 It's going to take some time, but the most important thing is to also love yourself!❤
I'd like to ask if the instructors still ask people who are training in edkpop ( free online website ) to send their videos..

Sadly, EDkpop is not working right now because the creator of EDkpop had made a new program called Keens Acadamy. I ask the staff if ED is done, and they just said that it's under maintenance for now. They are currently just focusing on Keens Academy. They did give feedback to the monthly evaluations only for a year and half i think and then they stopped. After that i just was using their dance lessons and also did some private 1:1 class. But right now, I don't use EDkpop due to it being unactive. I'm not part of their new program but if you want to look into it here is the link: keensacademy.com/campaign/kpopnowandfuture_beatbox

How many months you take class from Ed or you're still taking
I think I did ED for 24 months so for about 2 years. I currently do not use EDKpop anymore because they made a new program called Keens Academy, so therefore ED is not active. I did ask about it and they said that ED will come back later in the future.
Are there any good alternatives to EDKpop since it's dead now????

The platform EDkpop has change a lot over the past 2 years, they use to have monthly evaluations and just videos uploaded on their website. Now they changed and they have private 1:1 class, live lessons (that are free to do), and more dance videos! Don't worry if you can't speak Korean, they have translators in the background so everyone can understand! I really recommend trying EDKpop, it is actually free right now just by making an account, but the private classes and celeb classes are the only thing you have to pay if you want (which is not required). Hope this helps :)

What to do if there is no opportunity to dance in front of the mirror? 😭😭😭😭
When I first started dancing, I didn't have a mirror as well. I suggest after learning a section of a dance, record yourself with your phone. After that watch yourself on how you move and see anything that may look awkward or didn't do correctly and try to fix it. When you feel like you fixed it, just move on to the next part of the song and repeat until you're done! You got this! ☺You can dance anywhere and start anywhere so I hope this helps!
