@@brianbrotherston5940 I think Naxos....at present has like 8 orchestras/conductors in their catalog doing Haydn. I think there is much there to both enjoy, and then dismiss. I will seek out Beecham's.
@@rutgervangestel I know in Fischer's case it's because he's already done a MASSIVE Haydn cycle already for another label (Brilliant? Not sure). But honestly....did any of them do ALL the symphonies? Because it's darn confusing as some groups duplicated and some didn't.
All of these concerts are great. Great music. Exceptional musicianship. Excellent audio-video as well. Thank you for sharing these.
Great performance thanks
Such a shame they didn't set this up so the advertisements come BETWEEN the movements, not at random points during . . . .
Why did the audience clap after each movements? It's annoying
I believe you are to wait until the end of the piece. I went to a concert for this same piece and there was no applause between movements.
Not a particularly impressive performance - Have a heard a lot better !!
Whose do you like best?
@@maestroclassico5801 My favourites are still the wonderful Beecham recordings - They are full of joy and just sing to me .. .. ..
