@ well I totally disagree, but I still haven’t heard any casino do it and come closer. I literally a b’d it to the record . Definitely not the casino in my opinion. The irony is that to me the casino is far too thin and trebley every time it’s used in a cover . But hey thanks for watching!
@@Henry3Studios By the way, I'm strictly talking about the tone of the opening guitar, not when all guitars are in for the main theme. I WOULD agree that I DIDN'T capture the highs that are there on the record in the main theme (wall of finger picking). There was something about the EQ at Trident that I couldn't replicate , even with the curve bender hardware I have!
If you were to ask Macca or John or George if they were still alive, they too may say "I don't know/remember....". There are just so many factors at play, the studio, the mics used, the compressors.......on and on that can make one guitar sound like another. We will never know for sure unless there were notes written by George Martin or even Mal. EVEN with the notes, it may have been George Martin taking note of which guitar was used on a take to compare it with another they tried. We will just never know everything for sure, but it is a heck of a lot of fun trying! Agree to disagree and enjoy the exchange of thoughts :-)
@@lg4360 I don’t subscribe to the idea that it’s such a mystery and we’ll never know. I think at worst we can narrow down what was used by what we can demonstrably get the sound with. I go by the ears rather than the myths, and even the notes can be wrong because things could have changed in the last moment. However any notes would hold authority and would need to be considered. I think that many people have something in their head and stick with it. I don’t mind challenging that especially if I have the gear to test a theory out. Like I said I have never heard the opening guitar match the record with a casino. It’s always way too thin compared to the record. I admit the main theme wall of guitars I couldn’t quite match the treble quality and I blame that on the fact that it was done at Trident and I couldn’t get there even on a hardware Curve Bender. Of course in that wall there were many casinos too as you can see in the vid. I don’t expect I will always convince everyone , the challenge to get the closest remake continues and each version gets us closer to what the truth could be. I appreciate your thoughtful comment ! Yes agree to disagree!

Because the tone is the same as Good Night outtake which was Casino. Casino just has a lot of brightness that simply doesn’t exist on a J-160e.
@@Henry3Studios never heard the intro match the record as good as this on a casino.
@@perrystanleyNumber9nah it’s too bassy
